I give it a month before he's back to his evil ways. Being a bandit is just easier. There's no tension when you are are sitting on a hill 600m+ away in a ghillie suit sniping dudes. Now that he will have to get close to people and talk to them and have a real risk being killed. Too hard for him. Regardless, we need bandits in the game even if the combat is snipe + alt-f4. The zombies are only just a nuisance.

It's like the op never met another annoying kid before. Generally it's easier not let any teenagers join rather than create a problem within the clan and have decent players leave because there's one bad kid screaming into the mic bugging everybody. This game requires patience, something teenagers don't really have so they just run around and screw everything up for everyone. However, I'm willing to bet that if you are a decent player and don't yell into the mic and are a team-player then your age would never come up as an issue. You are judge by the lowest common denominator of your group.

I'm sorry but people can play this game how they want to. There's tons of low pop servers available that have little risk in dying. If you join a server with 40 to 50 people and go the two most popular cites, you are going to get shot at. Just because someone shoots at you doesn't make them a douche, it's just a game, get over yourself. No one owes you anything. You can get decent gear in 45 mins of dying. Really, what have you lost?

There's hackers in every online game. With any online game, there's also bad people. I play games with friends to have fun and that's all it's about. Getting gear is very easy in this game thanks to low pop servers. The Arma wasn't designed to stop hackers and thus neither is Dayz. That's why they have to make it a stand-alone game. We don't care because we know what the game is in it's current state and don't expect miracles.

Best place to find food is a shopping center, they are in cities. Other than that its kind of random for any location. Find an online map if you need to know what houses you can go into.

Base building actually makes less sense to me. Any current large building in the game is already a better base than creating a small shack and you would have the advantage of loot spawning in it. Anything you build you would have to be defended from looters all the time and how do you do that when you are logged out, unless it was instanced. A better system would be if you were able to build a hidden weapons cache. All you would need is a shovel. If the cache is persistent through death or not, doesn't matter it's already pretty easy to get geared by joining a low pop server. As it is now, there's nothing to do but kill players and maybe drive around in a vehicle until that draws a firefight. If they were able to add weapon durability, food spoiling... just in general make the game harder for someone to be able to sit in one place for too long. I don't think base building will stop players from camping out cities and high value loot spots.
