Only you can see the shift-clicked GPS marker, I believe. The double-click map marker is server-wide though.

Thats not a gps thing, that's a map note. Those are notes anyone with a map can place on the map. Problem is, anyone can see them, so it typically turns that place into a temporary hotspot.

I've had this issue as well. The only way I've fixed it is by restarting the game over and over until it works. Usually takes maybe 3 tries, but once it took me 11...

Again, it won't be boring if you do it right. For instance, my buddy and I thought it would be cool to shoot an M24 at the ATC tower in Balota. 50 zed kills and 2 blood packs later, we learned our lesson. That was quite an intense few minutes. NWAF we ended up accidentally pulling everything hauling some major ass to the barracks, and slaughtering about 120 zeds in a couple minutes of pure chaos,and some PDW goodness. Or cherno, similar issue. Or driving through elektro and sitting on the hospital picking them off as they climb up. It feels more like a zombie survivor in those situations. More like playing resident evil or something. Trapped in a room with 2 doors and dozens of zombies filing in.

Personally, the road to 1000z kills sounds interesting to me. But you'd have to do it in an exciting way, none of the sitting on the outskirts of a town with a makarov and picking them off one by one. Pull a whole town, run into a building and just go full auto or see how many headshots you can get on them before getting overrun.

I recently began playing on a private server as well, although it doesn't have a password. The admins are awesome, flying around in a heli helping people out when they need it with transportation or what have you (Got killed by a super zombie who somehow managed to knock me out for 2 minutes while I was at 12k blood, eaten and spawned across the map from my buddy. They picked me up and dropped me off where he was.), but best of all, there's no hacking going on. And if there ever were an incident, I know the admins would restore our stuff anyway, so there's nothing to even remotely be upset about. However, even on normal hive, with NVGs I just hop on night servers with < 10 people, and just do my thing.

Basically, what I'm hearing in this thread is what I'm hearing in every other thread. QQ about scriptfags. And the simple fact is, the script kiddies are going to choose servers with a bunch of people cause they're just out to ruin your day. The only simple fix is to play on low-pop servers, but that means YOU can't be fags and sit in cherno or elektro killing every new spawn without a weapon. So, the real thing here is: You want to be a jerk, and get killed by a script, or do you want to not be a jerk and survive?

A way to fix the code thing, have you tried just making the list itself be gray all the way through and just adding the green/red for the numbers? Such as: [b][color=#808080]Name [color=#00ff00]+1[/color] Name [color=#00ff00]+3[/color] Name [color=#ff0000]-1[/color][/color][/b] Name +1 Name +3 Name -1 Now, in order to do that, I had to switch editing mode to manual, and add in the color codes and such myself. The forum likes to automatically just add them for each piece, which is why you've hit the limit.

This defeats the purpose of the game. Gear back up. Yeah, it takes a while, but that's the way of it. Enjoy it. :D

This is ridiculous. I log out last night in the barracks of the NWAF hoping when I get on to play today I might get lucky and find some NVGs. Instead, I find myself spawned at Cap Golova, the FARTHEST DISTANCE I could POSSIBLY be from NWAF on the mainland. Not only that, but my 3 cans of food? Gone. My hunger indicator? Blinking. Sigh... Whatever, I run over to Tulga, kill some zeds, find some hotdogs. Cool. I run all the way until Guglovo until I find another food source: a goat. Alright, in business, finally! Run past Novy, getting shot at, hauling ass across the field like a bat outta hell turning around and shooting my M4 a few times just to keep the bandit on his toes until I can get into the trees again. once I do, I loop around and hide out for a few mins until I determined he was going to leave me alone. Moving on, I finally get back to the NWAF after 3 hours of hoofing it. So I loot the place, log out in the barracks to go get lunch. I come back, and I'm spawned in 3 valleys. WTF! Alright, whatever. I make the run again, this time, since I had food, it only took about an hour. soon as I get to the outer wall of the airfield "No Message Received for 10 seconds" DAMNIT. Alright, I'll switch servers and then i'll... WTF OTMEL, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? So now here I am, at Rog castle thinking that I really don't want to make that run a third time today. I've got an M4 CCO, M24, PDW with a ton of ammo for each gun. All I wanted was some damn NVGs. Instead, I wasted over 4 hours running back to the place I logged out just so I could log back in and play with my buddy when he gets on tonight. Although I suppose it wasn't a complete loss. I found a GPS, a second Mountain Dew can, and I sniped a sheep from 1200 meters out with my M24 JUST BECAUSE I COULD. So, why should I run back to the NWAF for the fourth time in 24 hours instead of just going to cherno or elektro and taking my frustrations out on random people, like that sheep? I probably will. This may be my transition to banditry.

This is why I don't mess with tents, vehicles, etc. atm, since they aren't acting properly. Nice lucky break though, I guess.

Have you tried verifying your files through steam (if you are using steam)?

Vehicles seem to not be saving correctly, so I'm not sure. However, to communicate with other players, use "," and "." (comma, period) to cycle through channels till you get to "Direct Communication" and if they're within 80 meters you can speak to them. I believe if you type instead it only reaches 40 meters, or was that fixed?

I get the bug even on .5 when joining .5 servers, so..

well, I typically stay on the same 3-5 servers. If one doesn't work, I try another, etc.

^This. This seems to work. If the secondary one gets stuck on loading, try opening a third, rinse and repeat and you should spawn where you last logged out.

Nah I'm not losing my stuff, sula. And if you happen to hop on a private hive, you can go back to normal servers with all your stuff in tact. I've been doing that as a way of having "2 characters" so I have my normal guy I play with my crew, and my solo dude on the private hive I just screw around on.

You're gonna have to wait for the standalone, when we can make bases (underground) which will probably be relatively safe. And just what the hell is wrong with that?! SOUNDS LIKE FUN!

This is actually slightly erroneous. There is ONE place on the map I've found that spawns loot and NOT zombies. Kustryk Mountain, just northeast of Kozlovka. There is an outhouse in the middle of the woods. Answers the question "Does a bear shit in the woods?" eh? Anyway, it's just an outhouse, can spawn loot (Found a makarov there once), and no zombies spawn there.
