You took my idea from the other thread! Oh, well, I'll let you do it for now, Inception, I'm not yet ready to start up my own mercenary action.

5 Dollar bounty to kill player Zheratuhl
Ipurgepeople replied to zed23's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hey, now, if this becomes common enough, I would consider getting my hands dirty and hunting down some people. Make a few dollars playing a video game? Sure. Beats trying to find a real job in this economy (which is a pain in the ass) -
I was driving down the road in the middle of nowhere on my way to town the other day, and as I drove past a corn field, I saw a DEER STAND near the trees. I've driven past that field hundreds of times, even WITHOUT any corn, and until I played DayZ I didn't notice that deer stand. I started slowing down to go loot it before I remembered I was alone, and started frantically looking around for other people. And then I realized that I was running late to the dentist.

Common camp locations?

The couple camps I've encountered were in black forest. -
Does humanity reset when you die, or will your hero/bandi status Carry over?
Ipurgepeople replied to GBTP's topic in New Player Discussion
It carries over. Do a search next time I've seen half a dozen of these in the past couple days. -

5 Dollar bounty to kill player Zheratuhl
Ipurgepeople replied to zed23's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
So now we have contract killing? This seems interesting. How do you plan to pay up, as well as how to you plan to verify such claims? I could easily say I killed him, and demand payment. -
Spawning Outside of Buildings, Not in Them
Ipurgepeople replied to flash2323's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think there just shouldn't be the ability to server hop in general. -
oshnatour1 +1 Was patient, drove across the map to meet up with me who was having FPS issues, and on foot. Traded some soldier clothing for a GPS, and he even tossed in a tent and a water bottle that got glitched away in the process of the trade. Awesome guy, would trade again.

1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION
Ipurgepeople replied to Gopher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Now THAT is a colorblind-friendly alternative that I can get behind. That would ease my concerns. In fact, if they did that with all the icons, that'd be awesome. Again. This would work fine with players, but not so well when 30 zombies come busting in the door, and your only concern is headshotting as many as you can before you have to just spray and pray and run for the hills. I can count them when I'm picking them off one at a time, but once I start spraying, and 2-10 drop at a time, I can't count that while I'm looking for an escape route, judging my chances, guessing where they're going to come from, and planning my exact route. The fact is, it is a game. It's not real life. In a game, certain goals are made. My goal is to kill as many zombies as I can in a life. My current record is around 227, I believe, thanks to a hacker. -
Getting sent back to the coast (a lot)
Ipurgepeople replied to JeremyLeroy96's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Well, sometimes it isn't that you're stuck on the black screen that says "Loading" and it just takes a long time. I remember when I first started it would take me about 10+ minutes on the loading screen to get into a majority of servers I tried. The last few patches they've really optimized the loading process so that it's much, much quicker. Even so, on some of the private hives it occasionally will take 10-15 minutes to load in when they're near to full. Once you're in-game though everything works fine. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that it might not be that the server doesn't work (especially if there's a bunch of players on it) but simply that it has very long load times. -
What if they're allergic to grass though? You may have just thought of a zombie repellent!

1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION
Ipurgepeople replied to Gopher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Thank you, someone who finally understands. I have two buddies who are affected by colorblindness. One can ONLY see hues of blue, and the other can technically see every color, but his brain confuses them and they bleed together, so a bright green and a dull yellow would look the same to him. Similarly with red/orange/brown, blue/purple, etc. I think you get my point. If they did such a change, those two wouldn't play anymore, and there's two of my squad gone, leaving only two of us left. Those who are colorblind, and those who play with those who are colorblind would be severely gimped, or simply be forced to quit, due to the incapability of being able to understand your stats at all. -
Getting sent back to the coast (a lot)
Ipurgepeople replied to JeremyLeroy96's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
If you get stuck on a loading screen, close the game via task manager, and try to log in again, you'll spawn on the coast with your stuff. The way to prevent this is when you get stuck on Loading Screen of Death you need to open a second copy of arma, and try a different server. Once that one is fully logged into the game, close the first one. The prevailing theory behind this is that when you are loading you are sent to debug plains/forest/whatever while it waits to retrieve your last known coordinates. While you're stuck there if you log out, your last known coordinates become debug plains. This means when you try to log in again, the game sees your last loc as off the playable map area, and it then spawns you on the coast with all your gear as per the patch notes of 1.7.2.5. -
Does humanity carry over from death?
Ipurgepeople replied to Malmortius's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Basically, if you died with hero skin, you'll spawn with hero skin, regardless of what the debug monitor itself says. -
1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION
Ipurgepeople replied to Gopher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I must be the only one out of all of you who knows people who are colorblind. That's the only reason you guys can simply ignore the simple fact that subtle color changes are a bad way to convey something. Furthermore, just because you're a bandit and don't care about zombie kills doesn't mean that there aren't those of us who do care about zombie kills. When I get attacked by the horde, I'm not counting how many I kill - that's a distraction. One that could get me killed, especially if another player shows up during the process. -
1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION

Finding an item that will give you a blood reading would be alright, but it'd have to be self-usable, and not terribly uncommon (I'd say around as rare as antibiotics, perhaps a little more common) -
The thing that bothers me the most about zed mechanics is that if you aggro'd the horde, and begin killing the horde, they respawn pretty much as fast as you kill them, and will hence aggro to you as you continue to clear them out. This leads to an infinite (Or near infinite, as it seems after a few waves they slow down on the spawn rate). For instance, my buddy shot his M24 on top of the ATC tower in Balota. I watched as every zed from the air strip, and some of the surrounding fields aggroed to us (about 20 in total), but none of the ones from the town or anything showed up. By the time we had finally finished killing the waves of zombies, we had gained around 50 kills (combined). He was watching from the roof as they spawned and immediately ran to us. It was ridiculous. And they weren't aggroing from gunshots, either, but simply decided they didn't like our faces.

Zeds tend to stay for a few minutes. I would say less than ten, but I've never timed it, since i either hide my corpses, or don't stick around to find out how long they last.

1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION
Ipurgepeople replied to Gopher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
See my previous post, specifically the edit in regards to colorblind people. If there's no colorblind-friendly way of determining your state of healthiness, I can tell you right now, I'm losing two squad members. And that pisses me off. -

Well, what I like to do in cherno at least is do a little circuit. Supermarket to the church to the fire station to the supermarket, etc. That's a good way to spend 10 minutes, instead of just standing around in the open, which would be akin to standing with a target on your back and LEDs on your vest screaming on a megaphone "SOMEONE SHOOT ME!"

1.7.3 PATCH DEBUG MONITOR TAKEN OUT-SOLUTION
Ipurgepeople replied to Gopher (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Can you imagine playing an MMO and not being able to know when you need to heal since you can't see how much health you/they have? Not being able to see your actual health (either via visual or numerical representation) works in some games, but in a game such as this one, I do not believe that is the way to go, personally. However, everything else you have said here regarding diaries, etc. I like. Put your current blood count in there as well, and you get my vote. EDIT: There's bringing "realism" to the game, then there's taking the "game" out of the game. The fact is, it's NOT real life, and it IS a game. Certain things are necessary in a game, and one of those is knowing your character's health statistics. Subtle changes in greyscale/color aren't a good way to do this, ESPECIALLY for color blind people. They'd be COMPLETELY screwed, and unable to play the game anywhere near the efficiency of someone who isn't colorblind. I mention this because I have a couple friends who are indeed colorblind. -
All of you guys laughing at the OP.... shame on you. As odd as it seems, this is a simple misunderstanding of information in text. It's not the OP's fault that the description is vague - and it's VERY vague. I was also confused by the backpack/weapon slot meaning on vehicles until I asked someone who had experience with such things, and they cleared it up for me. Although I didn't think a sedan would fit into a backpack that can only hold a dozen cans of beans. I'll clarify for everyone who may be unsure or unaware (Please do note, however, this information is strictly observatory, based on my own experiences, and my interpretation of information): Some vehicles (not all) have extra capacity ("slots") in addition to normal item slots. These are weapon slots and backpack slots. In conjunction with item slots, this makes up the total amount of storage in a vehicle. For example, let's use the UAZ since I'm quite familiar with it. The UAZ has the following capacity: 50 item slots 10 Weapon slots 2 Backpack slots* *The wiki page says 2 backpack slots, but I have 5 backpacks in mine, so I'm not sure how that works out, lol. This means that you can have 50 cans of beans, 10 M107's, and 2(+?) Alice Packs (Or M136 launchers, as they take up backpack slots instead of Weapon slots - SO I HEAR!) inside the storage area of your UAZ. If you overfill the capacity, look on the ground around the vehicle (It will be a bit farther away than you might think, it's about 2-3 meters away) and the excess will be laying around. PLEASE: If I'm wrong about this, and you can show some kind of proof, please do correct me. I'm currently not able to get to my UAZ atm as the server it is on is currently not operational due to some technical difficulties.
