This isn't the same issue I had (steady SPIKES down to 1-5 FPS somewhere between every half a second to a second that would last about a full second) but the way I fixed my own issue is I have to restart my computer every few days... :(

Weird. Perhaps yall and I are having slightly different issues then. The FPS issues I (And I believe the OP as well) are referring to are not directly linked to the graphical glitches, it doesn't matter where i am, it will happen, in the middle of the forest nowhere near glitches for instance.

Nah, my hard drive is ~10 years old. Some programs simply will not run off of it (Such as Teamspeak, rosetta stone, and a few others). It took over a year for me to be able to run skype (They put out some update that made it so I could run it, lol). it's similar to the fact that I cannot run the dayz combined operations no matter what method I try...hence I'm stuck using SixLauncher. I'll PM you the vid. I'll warn you, we were not happy, so there's some very strong language used. I clipped this together from a 1 hour long video..I'm currently having issues loading to youtube (23 min video taking 48+ hours to load is dumb. SCREW 1 hour, doubt my computer can even stay on for a week without being turned off for some reason) so I just pieced it together, omitting a large part of me just sitting there doing nothing but bitch.

What are you looking for in particular? Gun, ammo, misc items, medical supplies... the list goes on. Anything you're particularly, or at least more, interested in?

I have the same issue. The only way I've been able to fix it is to restart my PC every few days... which drives me CRAZY, cause I hate turning my pc off unless i'm not going to be on it for a few days (vacations, etc) In fact, I'm going to have to do it tonight most likely before I play. Not sure why this is, but it's ever since the 1.7.2.4, so perhaps it's another thing to do with those graphical glitches. I do notice here that you're on an nvidia card/processor, whereas i'm on AMD, so it's not confined to one or another. Definitely a somewhat global dayz issue.

Sorry, not doing this to demean you, but my grammar nazi senses are tingling off the charts. "you're" is used incorrectly quite a few times. It should be "your" in a lot of cases (such as the 'how may I be at you're service <--should be your) Or is this some kind of British thing I'm unaware of, being that I'm from the states?

Been on your server a few times in the past few days, was loving having it at night when I play. I can attest to the lack of lag. This is a very stable server, and I've enjoyed playing on it Had one of my scariest moments on this server, walking through cherno and lightning flashes, suddenly there's a player in front of me. Poor guy scared me so bad I just lit him up. Also, sad thing you require teamspeak, the ONE VOIP program that doesn't run on my pc. EDIT: Might I submit a formal complaint about a player on your server last night? I believe he may have been hacking. Name: Smaug If he wasn't hacking, he definitely logged out during combat after I shot him full of lead and came back ~15 mins later and killed me. I have THAT on film. This happened slightly before 1am EST; 10pm PST

Perhaps not from the beginning, but definitely usable as a weapon.

Running around in Cherno, scavenging for food and ammo, as we were heading to leave, it started pouring rain, it's the middle of the night and completely BLACK. We walk out of the firehouse and head onto the road. Suddenly there was a flash of lightning, and in front of us was a guy with a Lee Enfield just looking at us. I immediately gunned him down in pure panic mode. The second scariest thing happened last night. Once again in cherno looting the grocery store for some food, and all was eerily silent. My buddy on vent says to me "Oh, there's a few more people on the server now" then I hear a zombie scream from right out back, and then BOOM! a freaking explosion. I literally jumped out of my chair and started screaming bloody murder in vent for my buddy to come to the store and save me (My M16 ACOG had just glitched and disappeared and all I had was a hatchet and one clip for my 1911). Turns out he threw the grenade to take out a group of zeds that he aggroed instead of letting them glitch out in the store. Jerk.

lol... the last few days I've been less forgiving. Was almost killed a few days ago by a guy who claimed friendly, then sneaked around and tried to kill me. I killed that sneaky jerk, but I stopped giving warnings, and if someone's unlucky enough to come too close, I just kill them. Then tonight got killed by a combat-logger who logged out snuck up behind me and killed me AS SOON as I took off my NVGs and handed em to my buddy. :(

I wish I had good memories there. My buddy and I headed out that way, went into the firehouse hoping to find some ammo, or a sniper. Firehouse was a bust, but then we find a dude just kinda chillin, AFK against a wall in his ghillie suit. We take him out before he can take us out (and got a bandit kill - GOOD call on our part!) And he had an AS50 on him! about 2 minutes later, as I was upstairs looting ACP ammo for the revolver I took from the bandit, I hear a cannon go off, and my buddy dies. He runs back, gets his stuff, dies again. At this point, I haul ass to the firehouse again, close all the doors, hide under the stairs, and begin to eat a can of sardines, as my food started flashing. AS SOON as I started eating, 4 dudes in ghillies and Assault Rifles bust down the back door and unload everything they had into me while I enjoyed my salty little fish... Not so good memories. If I hadn't been eating, I may have been able to take one of them with me... But, oh well, so it goes.

Mountain Dew is cursed. 13 days without being killed, get a mountain dew last night, and got killed back a hacking combat-logging faggot. CURSED.

My friend and I, along with one other person were banned from US 1952. However, a little while later, I logged back on for about one minute and was in-game and not kicked or anything. For the record, in case the server admin(s) of that server check here, I just want to inform them that the reason 2 of us were logging on and off repeatedly was to fix the graphical artifact glitches we were receiving. After a couple of attempts it worked! And....then we were banned. :( It would be my guess that the admin banned us temporarily for some strange reason, but I cannot think of why (If possible a quick message would be lovely before doing such a thing, if we were asked we would have left for a few minutes). Just want to be certain. If anyone requires more information, please let me know either here, or preferably PM (If you're admin/whatever).

We didn't get a reason. At least none that either of us saw. It just said "Banned" I don't know how we managed to get modified files aside form the fact that the game is so damn glitchy the files like to break on their own. I'll try re-verifying my game through steam, but neither of us has done anything to our files so I have no clue. And plants... I just haven't the slightest idea. I've been recording on your server a lot. I would get you some footage, but I'm having issues uploading to youtube (it's taking 48 hours to upload a 24 minute video, which is just outrageous). I'll make a small clip of about 4 mins showing what we were up to before the ban. You'll see there's nothing (as far as I can tell) wrong with the plants. Seems to be about the same in every video I watch as well. EDIT: 4 min video only takes 10 mins, lol. I make no sense in this video. Was a very long day.

All you people and your hatchets. I never find a hatchet in the first hour of a life. NEVER. And I check barns, etc. usually after I've been into a city, found a shotgun and got out of there do I walk into a barn with 5 hatchets. Never used a hatchet as a weapon. They don't spawn till after you have a gun. /sarcasm

I have no idea what you're talking about... But there is no guaranteed fix for this that doesn't put you in a position to be banned by BE (As far as I know). There's some temporary workarounds that can work sometimes. I've tried most of them, and I'll explain the one that works for my buddy and I. Note: The following only seems to work when the glitches are on your screen when you perform these steps (But it's not guaranteed. Sometimes takes me 3-4 attempts) In your (Advanced) video settings, switch your HDR quality from very high to the lowest setting (is it default or very low? I don't recall. Too lazy to open to game to find out) or vice versa. Then change your Video memory from whatever it is to Default, then back again. One you have done that, hit escape, abort, disconnect from lobby, cancel the multiplayer gamelist, and exit the game (In other words, do a manual quit of the game, DO NOT ALT-F4 OUT OF IT ANY ANY WAY). After this, if you use a launcher, exit the launcher as well. I wait about 30 seconds after everything is closed out, and then I open everything back up again. If it's not gone when you get back, try again. I usually give it 3-4 attempts before giving up. No, it's not a fix. No, we don't have a fix. We have to wait for Rocket to give us a fix, or just remove the offending objects completely (Which would mean getting rid of wire kits as well) which seems to be less likely. Good luck, mate. We all hate these glitches.

The minimum 30 meter thing isn't quite right. We collected everything in a market and we piled it up at the front door, and stuff by the front door respawned after a few mins as well.

What servers do you play on that you find these mythical "herds" of cows? I run into goats fairly often in fields, but a cow is a rare sight for me, lol. Nah, you don't need 10 mags to take on players, I guess, but that's not what I use it for. I prefer the feeling of taking out zombies with a rifle than my pistol. Plus, aggroing the whole town is where the fun starts! Going through 2-3 clips taking on every zed in the NWAF, or the entire city of Gorka is just fun for me. Step into a building (so they can't sneak up behind you) and lead the lead fly. If I get a massive surplus of ammo, I'll just do something like this, camping in a spot for a while just slaughtering zombies. I just started doing this recently, though, because until recently, I hadn't had a ton of ammo for any military-grade gun. My first military rifle was an M16 and I had 3 clips when I was gunned down from behind while eating a can of hotdogs. My second military rifle was an AKM that I had 1 mag for - and for some reason couldn't find any more - which i dropped for an AK-74 which I ended up acquiring 5 mags for and then decided to go to elektro and got murdered. Then this life I found an AKM, got up to 14 mags before I decided to go to prigo and just annihilate every zombie I could aggro. later I found an M16 ACOG and I had 3 clips for that until my buddy dropped his gun to which he had 8 mags because we were having rotten luck finding G17 ammo (his secondary). I just filled my slots. Every other life I usually die early on, with a 1866 or Dinner Bell. But, being an old Doom and Resident Evil player, I hoard ammo like it is nobody's business. As per your comment on tents, I've found one tent. And then as soon as I found it, the server I was on crashed, I lost my primary for some reason, and the tent had duped, getting rid of all my ammo as well. So, upon finding a gun, I dropped the tents for some ammo and food since at the time, my 12 slot bag was full of medical supplies since I was the one holding them at the time. From what i've heard/read, tents are unreliable at best, more likely broken, so why should I bother with them? Not only that, but they would require me to pick one server and make it my home, whereas my buddy and I are more nomadic considering the wide range of timeslots we play the game during. anywhere from 4pm to 4am means that many servers would be changing from day to night during a 12 hour period. As it is, we have 3 "main" servers we frequent, when they're working. So, while you may be right, that my squad is in the minority, perhaps you should look into it if you're that bored? Forsake the tents. force yourself into making some difficult decisions. My buddy and I are constantly thnking of new ways to test the limits to our survivability. If you can't self-motivate, then you probably will be struck with boredom. Try making it more challenging. Perhaps as I did - Try to survive without ever going into any place that is better than low-quality spawn. Stay away from deer stands, stores, hospitals, and no killing animals. Makes it a bit more challenging. Perhaps I'm just strange, as I'm one of those people who would jump into a game with the thought of doing it the hard way, such as only using items to beat a final fantasy game, or playing through halo with only the guns I start with.

A stick. Usable to kill 1-3 zombies. I think this would be a nice way to prevent to "where the fuck did you come from" moments that happen oh-so-very-often on your quest to acquire some sort of weapon.
