Prettiness isn't everything, in game it wouldn't be as noticeable. Loving the idea of these rounds going up in the middle of the night in a town or something - would be awesome. :D -

Interesting, but will it blend? I don't think a submarine fits the bill, unless it was very old and sat in the port of Cherno (making it a death trap). -

Agreed. I love how the cities in Taviana actually feel like cities. That said, the map does have some problems (mainly with layout). -

Seriously, I'd much rather attempt to figure out where I was using my watch/the stars to find north, then using landmarks to figure out my location. Then I could make a bearing towards my target grid Ref and work out the distance using my paces (based on approximation). Would make it much more like you're washed up on a foreign shore with no idea as to where you are. -

Yes, I am talking about further down the line. Rocket said in an interview that the next map AFTER Chernarus+ will be a Western City. I am asking you to give ideas for cool DayZ Maps. An example off the top of my head would be British countryside à la 28 Days Later. -

Quite a lot of threads are the same ideas, people just don't take the time to use the search function anymore. I noticed a new idea here though: the idea of having to properly zero your rifle/weapon when you first get it. -

To be fair, I do see why adding a can saying 'Derpy Hooves' may look a little odd, but taken in context you're probably not going to be able to see the detail on the cans very well (their description would just be canned muffins or something similar). I noticed Monsieur Lightfoot himself has beans'd Joey's original post... just need R4Z0R to confirm... the suspense... is killing me. :P -

Does anyone else agree that this will have a profound effect on variety? Rather than 4 cans and some meats, we get about 20 types of canned food, in different conditions, bags of snacks (like my wonderful trail mix), chocolate bars, twinkies, tomatoes even! And the drink works in the same way, rather than 4 types of drink we get closer to 15! -

Sorry, but just seeing this in context, do you not think some of the item sizes are a bit unproportional? Like the cigs pack is tiny compared to the machete, as in if the machete handle is the same size as my hand then that is the smallest pack of cigs I have ever seen. Just my thought. -

This is basically what Rocket has already confirmed, in exactly the way you describe it. Weapons have been overhauled and completely redone, they are now 'entities' which in the architecture of the game is a pretty massive thing. It's why this will all work. Kudos to you for having the idea. -

I think they should get rid of GPS altogether. That, and make the map worse, and let us do all kinds of navigational shit by manipulating the map and compass (bearings, triangulating, etc.). -

Same thing? It is a shooter, and it's in first person, thus FPS. QED. Also, it's hardly the most realistic thing on the market. The helicopters are completely wrong. -
