And why you supouse to claim its PvP game? Its survival game, with some sandbox - its not pure PvP gameplay. But had to be some sort of PvP as emotions. But PvP is just rule now, kill everything you see. If someone want play pure PvP let he just start CoD or pure ArmA 2 multiplayer. In survivor sandbox games its nice to see some consequence of being bad. And my idea is not so hard to hardcode I think. Something like "check kills" = "he was bad" = "mark him as bandit at start". This game have strong potential, so dont push it to simple PvP because its just a waste of good material for sandbox zombie survival game what people wait for years. For now there is no any alternative, Project Zomboid - but its solo only. I dont say to prohibit PvP or any stronger consequences. Its simple marking player, so survival players will just avoid such people or to shoot at sight.

So its just easy mode, if this give you bigger chance to survive and there is no consequence of being this bad. In most games being bad now is like carebear play. :P

And I feel sick to read such texts. And you what do in DayZ? Like playing 24h just to lose your gear soon or later, and start from begining to lose it again. Whate waste of time. :P

Early test versions of game have gameplay 10x faster and 10x easier, to speed up finding bugs and other such stuff. So later in final release game can be 10x harder. Still this game need some alternative after dead, because if beginer die he mainly just lose stuff. If someone who know at least some of map or get spawn in same location, he just easy find a body and take from it what left. So what sense of "perm-dead" if its not perm-dead only "find your body".

And once again, NOT MUST BE GUN ONLY SOME SIMPLE MELEE WEAPON WHO NEED AT LEAST 3 SHOOTS TO KILL SOMETHING. Most of you people dont even read contr-arguments posts, only repeat like mantra "no guns, no guns". Dont must be guns, but give some alternative at least, something more than playing in Forest Gump with single zombie. So simple map bug using say this normal. I rather like 3-hit weapon to kill annoying solo-three zombies, than just run like stupid and look where I can use map bug to lose them.

In 15-30 minutes than you can earlier done this in 5 minutes? Only just to lose it shooted by dude who already found something better. Whate waste of time, still you must remember that its "testing version". And sometimes you die not because your own fault, and running away from one zombie is just stupid. In game you cant use bare hands, or simple brick to smash his head. So should be at least weak melee weapon to get rid such solo zombies. Hammer, crowbar or any usefull tool, who need for example 3 hits to kill something. Not must be strong like hatchet.

With new update to DayZ there is no gun at start. So you must loot some dock or build zone to loot hatchet, or find some out of town farm. Best to avoid town at start untill you dont have something to protect yourself, or you will have later bother in "benny hill" with hordes of zombie and looking places to shake them off. For me total stupid, should be at least some weak melee weapon.

And I all the time REPEATING that can be even simple weak melee weapon, because there is no bare hands option in game. For situations like on start agro you one or three zombies, and dont waste time in "run Forest run" and look for bugs on map to lost them.

QQ is from people who already learn this game like own pocket, or study like to some exam from any source they can and complain that someone reach them without this. So if its not big diffrence so why say no? "Its dont change nothing, but still I say no" - such texts I dont understand. And I dont say that must be gun, at least some weak melee weapon. Always something better than run away from one zombie few miles at start and looking for some place where he "must walk" to shake him off. Its just legal bug using, if there is no other way to get rid of simple one enemy at start.

Had the same situation today Fat Toggaf. For "good morning" after at last I found something usefull I was teleported to crowd of players and begins the hell. If such things happen to much I just waste my cash on buying Arma 2.

I dont want to support myself with easy mode tutorials or website guides. If someone use this and say later that game is to easy its his fault that he kill his fun from exploring.

Some stuff is best to learn from game, not wasting 24h for watching youtube movies. When DayZ show up there was nothing such things to help, you had your gun and you was off into world for adventure. Now its like old vets afraid competition and throwing what they can under legs of beginers. I play from today, even without gun can handle finding some hatchet in dock or rifle in some farm. But still, what is more annoying? Benny Hill with zombies and using "bugs" on maps where zombiest "must walk"? Or just simple give something to protect at start, dont must be gun. Simple melee weak weapon will be fine to.

I do with flashlight exactly like on this but still my flashlight dont work. Dark like hell and trying flashlight on belt and in pistol slot dont work after clicking L and such key is set in key settings as light on/off. :/

Tested on few servers, its like something from with key L. Sometimes turn on right away after hiting L, sometimes you had to hold it, sometimes just quick hit L. And sometimes nothing work even if you turn on and off few seconds ago on same server - so no chance with morse code flashing.

Your focus on my english you can put in you know where.. Some people are self learning from games and movies, its enought to understand. Second thing if I dont check basics I dont bother people here, I done like was on youtube movie about how to use flashlight. Dont work. So simple - there are servers who dont have night time on even if its dark like hell? And flashlights cant be use on such?

Most of old vets who say "no" are just exaple how bull forgett that he was some day a calf in the past. You remember most of game than you have easy game start with gun, and now you say no to beginers who have harder way to learn. At start should be something to protect, at least crowbar. Or even simple stick to bit some zombie head. Enought to loot at least one house at start, and dont play later in Benny Hill with horde of zombies on back and using map bugs to lose them.

First day who piss me off, is than I try second round in DayZ. I survive longer than I expected and I was by suprise teleported from one place on hill into middle of players group who shoot me on railroad.

Greetings, I try DayZ already two times. First was hardly to get hatchet, and in next step finding more usefull items who end with dead. And second time, was much better - I gather need equipment, gun and I play like 2h without die. And unescpected I was teleported with my character in other place, where was rest players and I die fast under heavy fire. So here is my question, how for future get rid of such lame servers? At what look in description of server, there are any "official" taged by DayZ makers? Thanks for any help. Regards. Server where I was teleported under other players was: "DE #111".

Greetings Community, I was very excited to start play in DayZ mod and bought for this ocassion Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead to just start. Both games are in electronic distribution, but during downloading and extracting some files are corrupted during later instalation. In Arma 2 CRC problem show up on "readme.txt" and "manual.pdf" so its not big issue. But during instalation of Operation Arrowhead CRC bug show up on "structures_e.pbo" and "wheeled_e.pbo". This files error are from second time I redownload all, earlier CRC bug was on other files. Its propably because some memory issue on Windows 7 64 bit. I dont want to waste to much time on keep re-downloading 6 gb files to hit proper one (there is no repair tool to fix without downloading all). The only advance is such, that CRC bug files I can ingore and skip instalation to end. But ofc without them game wont start. So Id like to please someone for help, if this two files are not to big can someone upload them on some file website and help me in trouble? Regards.

At night I re-download Operation Arrowhead game during sleep. This time CRC problems was on other files but I made just in case file copy of earlier instalation, after re-download I get "structures_e.pbo" at last but still "wheeled_e.pbo" is CRC bugged. So if anyone of good heart can help with sending me this file I be very thankfull. Because re-downloading this sux electronic distribution take me ages untill I get all files fine. Or what sense in reinstalation of system under one game?
