Wait for private hives. Problem with being able to cycle through characters is that you run the risk of packmule characters that hoard loot in the safety of the log-out screen.

Riot shields are made for riots (Big surprise right?). They are designed to protect police from people throwing things at them like cans, rocks, bottles. Yes a well made riot shield can stop small caliber rounds like pistols but that is it. Another problem is riot shields are not designed to be carried long distance. They are not built for mobility, it would be tiring to be carrying run around all day and be running a marathon with it like your character would have to do in dayz. There are military riot shields that are bullet proof but they are extremely heavy and not meant to be carried at all. They are built to be deployed in place either with a tripod or spikes that dig into the ground. As for homemade shields...I doubt you can make anything that would protect you from more then a hatchet to the face.

Making people immortal until they pick up a weapon. My god have you thought this though. There are too many ways to abuse this but here let me give the first five that come to mind. 1. Scouts, a newspawn can run around on sniper hill telling his buddies where all the snipers are. Basically you can make a newspawn into a scout to locate players. 2. New spawns will be able to beat up full geared dudes.... 3. This really...really breaks immersion. 4. They can exploit this to get geared up. Grabbing large amounts of food and medicine from high traffic areas like hospitals and marketplaces and being perfectly safe as long as they don't pick up a weapon. 5. As for the berry picking....okay that is actually a good ideal.

It happens. It's a VERY VERY rare chance . Anyways if you die while spawning in you didn't have anything on you anyway. And if you die while re-logging in....choose where you log out better. Its very, very, very unlikely that by shear chance someone saw you logging in if you had a spot that was even average. Also I don't think a shield will be a good ideal. If the shield is active until you move then it can easily be abused. You can have a man with a shield in the center of electro as bandit bait. Also what if I sneak up on someone who happened to spawn/log in. I can't hold him up and he will probably just dc.

He made the zombies harmless until he can fix them. Because in the mod they were either harmless, or killing you by cheating to win. (Zombies used their glitchiness to kill you in dayz mod a lot.)

PVE its easy as heck. But the player vs player combat is brutal. One wrong move and you die. As for finding gear, meh not much gear to find in the standalone at the moment. But I have been lucky to find a pistol with ammo at times so I say your results may vary.

Riot armor is no better then Kevlar. Like a Kevlar vest it would help but a AKM round to the chest is still going to either knock the air out of your lungs or go though the vest. Also big problem. Riot armor was built for police to stand their ground in the face of angry citizens. It was not made for mobility, running around in riot armor long term would not be easy and would have a poor effect on your health. Still some riot gear wouldn't hurt. Maybe a riot helmet? Would go nice with a press vest. A riot shield would be interesting but would have limited use since riot shields offer only small amounts of protection vs bullets. They can block a few small pistols shot but that is about it. There are some military riot shields that can block bullets but they are more like mobile cover and not built to be carried around for too long.

I think NPC's should be limited to. 1. zombies. 2. animals. 3. Maybe things in the distance. Like Huey flying overhead real fast to make the world feel more lifelike. To remind you that there is not only random survivors running around. But no other humans on the ground besides players please.

Compelling evidence but I noticed a big difference of your hacker. You saw him coming, stuttering though the air without any animations. This guy only tped once and he was still doing his animation before and after the tp.

There is not enough proof for me. Someone could have easily snuck up on you if you he knew what he was doing. Before you scream "I WOULD HAVE HEARD HIM!" 1. If you go prone and roll it is silent. 2. If you tap w instead of holding it, it is silent. 3. Also he may have logged in behind you. I know that spot, a lot of people log around there. Maybe he ghosted or maybe he just happened to log in. I was in sniper hill once when the server crashed, when i joined a new server there was a unaware elite scout sniper ten yards ahead of me. 4. You never even saw him/got a good visual. Maybe someone just walked up behind you. I am not trying to be rude just looking at the facts. The video doesn't give a visual of a teleport, just a man disappearing. I don't hack and dayz has teleported me around PLENTY of times. I am sure some people know what I am talking about. Once i was running towards electro, I finally got inside the city and then it teleported me 20 minutes away! Also the video doesn't even seem to show the man attacking you, i re-watched it a few times to check. It just shows you aimed at the town watching a player that stutters a bit and then some gunshots somewhere close behind you and then you die. If you could slow the video down and maybe highlight the man that shot you (if you saw him) then it would help. At the moment though I don't see enough to prove hacks. On a final note I find it unlikely a hacker would do short range teleports like that. Teleporting from a fence to a red house then into the red house. Hackers tend to teleport long and medium distance or DIRECTLY behind players. I have never seen that expect for when I lag. Also my personal tip, don't sit in a tree and try to snipe high populated areas. It seems safe but it is just as and sometimes more dangerous as being in the city you are sniping. A very fast way to get geared quickly is to the hunt the snipers and a lot of players know this. I often get high end gear in ten minutes just by hatching some unaware sniper in electro/cherno. *And yes i have been accused of hacks a lot. Even got a temporary ban from a private hive because the admin wanted to 'investigate me.* Final conclusion. 50% chance of hacks, no proof but some weird coincidences. Personally been playing a LOT of standalone. Never encountered any major hackers *few minor ones spawning with gear but I saw them get banned before my eyes*.

You break rule number 1. NEVER TRUST ANYONE. This doesn't mean kill everyone you meet. It just means be prepared to do it. Take caution. When starting a conversation or when meeting with a unknown player always have the upper hand. Never let your guard down. Obviously they are not op when you are fully geared. But in almost all my fights when its fist vs guy with hatchet. Fist wins. FOUR times I have been fighting a guy with a hatchet and just knocked him out and stole his hatchet then killed him. The fist knockout treats us all like we are mike tyson!

Funny thing is that everyone says in the forums "no. I dont kill on sight" And then when they are in game they are running around the coast gunning down "newbs".

Lets not go overboard. I don't want moral kombat gore. I want the gore to be a tool. Someone with a mangled arm or leg would tell you they are wounded. Scars and scratches let you know they were in a fight recently. I want it to be realistic, not just "lol his leg blew off for no reason" gore. Also I think adding more gore to the houses and things would be nice. More sighs that there was actually a outbreak. As I pointed out above it could work like this. Man hiding in bush near some a tree. I fire some rounds into bush. Tree behind bush gets blood sprayed on it. Hit confirmed. He may still be alive but I know i hit him at least.

Gore could be a tool too. Man behind wooden wall. I shoot though wooden wall. Blood sprays on wall behind wooden wall. I know I hit something.

LEND LEASE. I don't know if we sent guns during to the soviets but we sure as hell sent about everything else. Also maybe a few rare guns that don't fit would be nice. There could be a museum you can find old guns in!

Server hoppers probably. When I notice on empty servers or almost empty servers you see people join for two minutes then leave. However I was def not killed by another player. I just running in the middle of the woods and then suddenly my character suffered a fatal heart attack! Alpha is alpha. Didn't matter though. Spawned even closer then before and I had no gear when I died.

You will never get banned for using items you found or aquired without hacks. Dosent matter if a hacker duped them in. That is just a myth to scare people. Ask any dev or mod.

So stealthy no one but you have encountered them! Right? Seriously I once joined a empty server so I could meet my friend and I randomly fell over dead when it was just me and him on the server. The ALPHA may have some bugs. Stupid rocket, why is his ALPHA not perfect!?

Bad ideal. What if the server lags? What if the server is down for some reason? Hell, Me and my friend have trouble finding a server where both of us can get a stable connect.
