Can we have an evil VILLAIN title? For those who are barely active at all? Heheh, I kid, I kid. But seriously, that would be awesome :P.

All gear disappear and Im back on shore!

Possible bug/hacker. I had the same problem EXCEPT I still had everything, well, at least everything else I could carry after getting a ton of new magazines for my LMG that take 2 spaces each, so I had to lose all of my food, cola, and my water bottle.

Has Anyone Got Any Tips For Me?

Let's see: Always try to book it when going through towns, don't sneak unless your just crossing, try to get spawns near the big cities (Cherno/Elektro/etc.), sprint through, loot any and as many hospitals, fire stations, grocery stores, and apartments as you can. Once you have enough gear (and probably a lot of zombies on your tail), head north, lose any following zombies by zig-zagging up a hill, and then try to look around for deer stands/barns. That's pretty much it :P. Alternatively, you could also set up a little base in a city and become a bandit, facing better, more common loot but a much sooner death (usually.)

    *sigh* Yet ANOTHER Problem

Okay, so you may or may not know I'm having issues with battlEye from other threads- constantly failing to update, kicking me from the game. Well, in my daily run through a dozen or so servers in hopes it finally works, I decided to try to log in to one- and here's what I was met with. Immediately, before I even spawned, I was shown the leader board and a count down to when I was to be able to respawn. Then, I was spawned in the debug plains in the middle of no where. Immediately thinking there was a hacker, I exited ASAP and, in curiosity, went to another server to see if I had all my loot. Well, let's see, I was spawned back on the beach, along the coast, and still had (most) of my gear. Apparently I had gained something like 3 to 4 MK 48 Magazines for no reason, and all of those took a lot of spaces and caused me to drop all my drinks, food, and a water bottle. I had been on the south side of Willow Lake when this happened, and all my friends had been there, so if I have any hope of getting to them I have a long hike back :P (if I can fix battlEye -__-). Unfortunately, I don't remember the server. I don't even know if this was just a bug or a hacker encounter. I just wanted to share :P.
  5. Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum and relatively new to DayZ as well. While I look forward to any future discussions, I came here first and foremost for a solution to this damned problem. (Before I start I just wanted to say I have 1.7.2.4 and the latest beta 95417.) Before you ask I've read just about every single thread out there that talks about this problem. And none of the fixes worked. I've verified game cache files, I've manually reinstalled DayZ (as well as letting SixLauncher do it), I've manually done beta updates (as well as letting SixLauncher do it), I've even reinstalled all of ArmA II and OA, none of these stopped the annoying error that plagues every server I try to go on: "Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection." To which I am returned to the main menu. This has been happening for nearly a day now and I can't play with my friends, so if you guys have any ideas, they are greatly appreciated. Thanks! By the way, I use Six Launcher. Also, before this problem had shown up an hour before the ceremonious shit fest known as battlEye began to kick me since it continually failed to update every time. And I'm betting if I'm finally able to find a fix for this, that'll be back to haunt me again. I've tried downloading both the v1.62 DLL files from their website and replacing both of the ones in ArmA II and OA, and this only seems to make me last an extra 10 minutes before I'm kicked- and in order to last longer I have to manually replace the ones in ArmA II and OA every single time I launch the game or else I'm almost immediately kicked. Yes, I've reinstalled battlEye more than 5 times now. Thanks again.

    is this any good?

Any sniper in this game is going to be pretty damn good, and I'd say that's one of the better ones. But it really is just personal preference.

    M249 Vs. MK48 Vs. M240

I don't know about the other weapons, but the MK 48 is extremely powerful, very accurate, and (for me) has very common ammo. So.... Mk 48 for the win! :P

Fort Friendly 2.0 - Social Experiment

^ Sadly, yes. And even then, say a character were to enter that building, leave, and decide to enter your server; he might get shot for no reason if you plan on killing ghosters. Sorry, but DayZ mechanics just don't support "safe areas" quite yet.

[Fix] Battleye not updating, kicked as a result

Ran Steam as admin, verified ArmA II game cache, launched it, reinstalled, launched it again, placed v1.62 DLLs and replaced the other ones. Didn't work. Am going to do the same for OA.
  10. Alright, ill take the gps and the nvgs. Pm me.
  11. Sadly, no. I have to rely on finding wood for now *sigh*
  12. Preferably I would want the ghillie suit over anything else, but I'll take the m4a3 Cco
  13. I'll give you an Mk 48 Mod 0 with 4 mags for either 1x ghillie suit, 1x NVGS, or an m4a1 CCO (preferably with 3+ mags) Thanks, looking forward to trading. (Btw, if you could preferably trade more over by berezino, it will be extremely helpful since i lack a map)
  14. Same problem. Need to find a fix now, updated manually, reinstalled manually and through steam 5+ times, ran steam as admin, verified game cache files, and so on, still doesn't work. I honestly cannot express the amount of hatred towards shittyEye that I feel, sorry, but it's true.

Well, I appreciate your help. I forgot about my firewall; I'll check on that.

    DayZ Stories

This is my tale that is the current character I have now, unforunately when battlEye has began to constantly kick me. Until I find a fix, here you guys go :P. The sun was in the middle of the sky, shining bright and strong. I spawned on the coast of Kamenka, the far southwest of Chernarus. My group had created a temporary meeting placed we had used a lot, which was a gas station sitting next to a rail road, somewhere between Balota and Chernogorsk. I sighed and began to sprint along the coast, avoiding zombies and hoping not to get found by a group of bandits. As I ran across I had slowly been moving my self away from the coast, and when I had been near the gas station, I froze in fear. I heard the sound of a silenced sniper ring past my ear Immediately I sprinted back to the coast and hit the deck behind the cover of a hill. I didn't want to be cheap and abort; And so I stayed prone and slowly crawled, ignoring the gas station and the other small villages near by and finally pulling myself into Chernogorsk. Now, my group had began to move north when they heard me say there was a sniper nearby, so I was on my own for the time being. I had started to get near-red on food and water, and so I decided to raid the nearby grocery store for supplies. While I attracted the horde in along with me, it had been a lucky day, as the grocery store was ample with gear. I had found a revolver and 6 mags for it, an ALICE pack, a hunting knife, tons of food and water, a box of matches, a watch, and a compass. Praising my fortune, I was caught off guard by the amount of infected in the store. Because they have to walk in-doors, I was able to take all dozen of them out with swift headshots from my revolver. However, I still had been a little cocky and briefly forgot to bandage myself, bringing my blood down to about 9500. I had a nice meal of canned sardines and a coca-cola before moving to the far back of the store to get the last of the loot, when I started freaking out; I had been surrounded by zombies. I took nearly all of them out, except for a select one or two. And these one or two had managed to get my blood below 9k and knock me out. At this point I had been thinking I was doomed, and while I had woken up with 5k blood still, I lacked a bandage and was bleeding out. Fast. I took care of the last two zombies, ran through the store looking for a bandage, and was horrified when I couldn't find one. Now, I had been recording these events to my steam group in voice chat, so luckily one of my team members had come just in time, bandaged me up, and gave me a blood transfusion just before I had dropped to 2k blood. Feeling newly rejuvenated, me and my team mate had ran out of the store and had worked our way back to where everyone else was. We had decided it was a good idea to raid the fire station in hopes of finding a few of us that lacked a good primary weapon an assault rifle or shotgun. We traveled along the treeline and entered the fire station from the back. My team mate that saved me went up the stairs first and found another guy, a survivor, crouched down overlooking the scene. He must've missed us as we came in through the back of the fire station. Before the guy could turn around, he immediately took a bullet to the face, my team mate laughing maniacally. He had some good gear on him, but unfortunately I was the last to make it up and missed the good stuff. However, it seemed I still had a little bit of luck left, as I had found an AKS-74 Kobra and 2 mags of ammo laying on the far corner of the station before we left. Feeling like a badass toting around my new assault rifle, we began to hook around and head into the treeline again. We had just began to figure out where to go when another of our team members had spawned. He had been started off in Komarovo, and so we decided to go to the gas station we had set-up as a way point before and decided the sniper was probably long gone by now. After we all met up there, we decided to head through the forest until we came upon east Chernogorsk. We had laid out a plan, and had decided to raid the hospital and apartments in eastern Cherno to fill up on supplies before heading out on a very long journey to Solnichniy. After sprinting through the woods and finally coming across what appeared to be east Cherno, we heard the sound of a sniper rifle ring out. Desperate, we sprinted deeper into the woods and hit the deck. Now, one of my friends had a pretty good sniper rifle, and luckily he had been able to find the culprit that had tried to snipe us pretty quickly. Now, we were still nearly a kilometer away, and so my friend had missed the shot. However, it seemed to freak the guy out as he seemed to disappear. He might have disconnected, he might have just hid, but we decided it was now or never. My friend who was the sniper decided to cover us while we ran towards the hospital. Running behind the cover of the hospital to make sure we were still safe from the sniper, one of my friends quickly ran out and broke the hospital glass with his hatchet and we all desperately tried to get in. Unfortunately, through all this commotion, a huge horde of zombies had caught sight of us. While we rushed inside, one of my friends fired off an AK, and one of the rounds had hit me in the leg, broke it, and rendered me unconscious. Crap. I surely thought I was dead this time. But just before I bled out, I got jerked awake by an epi-pen, was bandaged, and got yet another blood transfusion. Wow. I had nearly died twice already. I decided we needed to be much more careful from here on out. Once we looted the apartments and the hospital, which were both full of useful items, we went back into the woods and began the journey to Solnichniy. Most of the journey consisted of just sprinting, and so to make it short, we had come across the last little village before Solnichniy, which was still miles away. Deciding to loot this town, there happened to be a lot of zombies and so we retreated to a barn, looted it out, and fought off all the zombies. After this, we sprinted away and never looked back. No more stops after that. And so, after a long while of more sprinting, we had finally reached Solnichiy. Now, we were going to log off soon, and so we decided to raid a tiny little shed before leaving. Bad idea. To make it short, we were almost instantly surrounded by hordes of infected, and we couldn't even escape there were so many. Finally, me and my team had escaped through a narrow gap. Not knowing what to do, we ran up to a little hill when I remembered I had looted a smoke grenade from one of the apartments and remembered they can distract zombies. I threw it and, sure enough, the zombies stopped in their tracks. After bandaging up and handing around a few more blood transfusions, as well as having some food and drink, our team had logged off. However, this isn't the end of our story. As it turns out, while most of my team members had left in the same spot and were asleep, one of them sprinted all the way to Willow Lake, north of Berezino. Reluctantly, I agreed to meet up with him just north of Nizhnoye. After we had met up, we killed any zombies following me and headed back up into the woods. Willow Lake was a place of relative peacefulness. If you had a water bottle, water was always available. If you could make a fire, cooked meat was always around the corner. And the best part? Zombies don't spawn there and most players never even go near it; It was perfect for a camp. And so I had began to get excited for our eventual arrival. But I was bound to get even more excited. While most of our journey was, again, sprinting and gutting animals, we had one lucky streak; we were less than a kilometer away from the lake, entering an open field when my friend spots a crashed helicopter less than a 100 meters north of us. I immediately remember tales of amazing weapons being found here, and I nearly fell over in excitement. However, almost instantly a horde of 40+ military zombies spawn. Crap. Being extra careful, we slowly crawl over to the chopper to find ourselves in weapon heaven; FN FALs, M107s, Bizon SDs, and the weapon I had ultimately ended up taking, the MK 48 Mod 0. After equipping ourselves to suit our needs, we had slowly snuck away and then sprinted to Willow Lake. We had made a fire, cooked some meat, and filled up on water. Having our needs (and blood) restored, we waited for the rest of the team to meet up there. We had a lot of work ahead. To be continued... (If I can fix my damn game :P )

[Fix] Battleye not updating, kicked as a result

Additionally, every time I try to launch a server through Six Launcher or launch the original OA, an error comes up saying, "Cannot Create File. c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead/expansion/battleye/uninstallBE.csv (c:/program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead/BEsetup/setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA.exe" Any help?

[Fix] Battleye not updating, kicked as a result

*sigh* Why does the anti-hack program do much, much more harm against innocent people than against the actual hackers? Anyways, I have tried everything listed in this thread except for messing around with my wireless router. And, to be honest, I don't know how to access the actual settings for it, so any help will be appreciated. Also, I've checked both BE folders in Arma II and OA and set them to "read-only" (the check mark), exited and ran steam again as admin, and deleted the previous DLL files and placed the v1.62 files from the website into it. It still does not work. If I'm going to have to put up with this bullshit every time shitEye updates, I'm not going to play; it's just too much work. I've been having problems for over a day now and I cant play because of this anti-hack program that does next-to-nothing against hackers and prevents the innocent people from being able to even play. Sorry If I sound like I'm raging, I'm just pissed off right now :P

    Suddenly: Weapon

The magazine going back to full (I think) happens to all weapons, that's relatively normal for the time being. If you can, I'd suggest trying to drop it in a pretty remote place on a server that is usually low-populated. The weapon should despawn if no one has taken it after a while.
  20. The Stoned Wolf

    Suddenly: Weapon

Yes, saying ruining is slightly extreme, I should say you really don't have any self-satisfaction or achievement if you just get a weapon because of a glitch/hack. And trust me, self-satisfaction is the best thing about DayZ. (Sorry if "self-satisfaction" sounds a bit... odd :P )
  21. The Stoned Wolf

    Suddenly: Weapon

If I were you, I'd drop it. First of all, it ruins the game to just get a weapon for no reason. Second, you could be considered a hacker and banned. Personally, I would advise you not to take it.

    Can't pick up backpack?

Is there any gear under or near the back pack? If so, pick any gear up and try to move it away, it should be available to pick up again.

    Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection

Okay, after total shredding of both the Six Launcher and @DayZ folder and then reinstalling Six Launcher and letting it install DayZ, it has seemed to decide to work now. But, as I predicted, battlEye is being a bitch again, so help with that is appreciated as well. Thanks.

    Bad Version, Server Rejected Connection

Same results with the reinstall. Please someone help, this is extremely annoying and aggravating and I haven't been able to play with my friends.
