    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Thing is, I am going to waste a good amount of time going to Zeleno. I'm in the forest just north of Cherno; should I just head NW till I hit the road in my original plan, and then follow it? Seeing as my only reason for stopping in Zeleno is the market for supplies, of which I already have an ample amount.

So, going from the East would be better than the West like I have set? I have another alt route that involves me going to Novy and then Grishino, at which point I can easily enter NWAF from the East.

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Alright, thank you all for your helpful posts, has some beanz ;). Anyway, suppose I should start the long journey! Will probably be at least 45 minutes long, but I hope it's worth it :D. Wish me luck.

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Will probably be so full of adrenaline once I'm at the airfield will probably do an all-out bambi once there lol. On the way will be a mix of both though :P

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

I'll be going from North Cherno to Zeleno, at which point I will be resupplying at the market there and then stealthily following the road North in the nearby woods until I get near NWAF, at which point I'll maneuver myself to the West of the airfield for maximum strategic position (hehe, that's fun to say :P).

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Alright, check. I already have 6 cooked meats with me + a water canteen, 5 or 6 sodas, and some additional canned food. I should be good on these, right? Atm I also have an AKM and an M1911, but chances are I will be going completely prone near zombies, partly so I don't get annoyed, and partly so players can't see that there's probably a guy seeing as there's a huge horde.

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

Alright, I think I've calculated a good route. Will be going to Zelenogorsk and follow the road all the way North, until I get near the airfield. Then, I'll go around and approach from the West as you said. Chose this route so I don't get lost easily + I can get all the food/drink I need from the Zeleno market, seeing as the city is still a good km or so up North and it can serve as a good checkpoint. *EDIT* Also, in spirit of trying to get in and out as soon as possible, should I just ignore the fire station seeing as there's already a ton down South? Or should I might as well do it since I'm already looting everything else?

    First Run to NWAF; Tips?

I know it sounds odd, but I'm just really nervous about food and water. I mean, I went like 2 kms to Kozlovka and already went through 2 servings of food and drink. Granted, I sprinted a lot, but still...

    Warship In Cherno?

I have no idea why I didn't take a pic, but upon leaving the grocery store in Cherno I came upon the sight of a huge warship glitching through a bunch of buildings. Clearly there were hackers, so I immediately left and forgot take photos. However, the server name was US 3283, and it's pretty empty, so if someone wants to go sightseeing in Cherno...

    Warship In Cherno?

Eh, I don't really "report" anymore... I was really just sharing my experiences. When I rejoined the thing had mysteriously disappeared. It was probably just some spawned-in prop anyway.

DayZ Whilst Being Drunk : A Brilliant Idea!

One time I back flipped with an ATV and ended up landing on my friend upside down, killing both of us. This was when we first found out about the mod, and it was friggin awesome :D
  12. I'll team up. One question, though, where do you live? Don't want to have to scrounge a living playing on servers with 200 ping :P

    How did you find DayZ?

Owned ArmA II CO for about a year before DayZ was released and have been following some other mods, however I never was familiar with DayZ until I watched CHKilroy's (a regular player of ArmA and one that I watch a lot) videos. From then on, I was hooked ;).

This Is A Sad, Sad Day.

So, I had nearly reached my 60th day of survival in DayZ. Was on Day 59 and I had some of the best loot in the game (Ghillie, NVGs, Rangefinders, Coyote Backpack, M14 AIM, M4A1 CCO SD, tons of cooked meat and medical supplies, you get the gist.) Today, during a glitch, I was killed on spawn in because I had to serverhop when I got stuck on infinite loading. Usually this happens all the time and I teleport to the coast, but with all my stats and gear in-tact. This time, though, that didn't happen. I get spawned on Cap Galova with absolutely nothing. Not my old gear, not even starter gear. 100% empty inventory. However, for some odd reason, I at least retained my Ghillie skin, which is going to be awesomely useful. The thing that weirds me out, though, is that I didn't really care. In fact, I was almost happy. For a full month I basically ran around in circles through the forest, living off of cows and ponds and avoiding players as much as possible (for the people calling this a cowardly way of playing, yes, it is. However, this game is about survival, not about who has the most zombie kills or who pwns the most survivors). Needless to say, this got tirelessly boring and I was not going to resort to camping noobs along the coast for "fun." I had already stolen a bus from some place else and so ended up being on the same server for a week, although I hate being tied up to one area and so never set up a camp, and I think starting anew was good for me. Anyway, just wanted to share my experiences.

This Is A Sad, Sad Day.

Oh, I know. What I'm doing is trying all different play styles, just on separate characters, to see how long I can survive on each. So far, this one has been the most successful. It has also been the most boring :P. On the new char I already have all the stuff needed for getting and cooking meat, and I also have an AKM, M1911, and an ALICE pack, so I think I'm going to head up north and possibly hit Stary or NWAF for some really good loot. After that, I think I'll try a more PVP approach this time, but I'm still going to befriend people with no weapons. At least, as long as they stay with no weapons lol.

You do realize I'm not actually reporting a bug... right? I'm just sharing what happened and my experiences, as you can see if you read the last sentence.
  19. Axe-murderfication. The sincerest form of DEATH. MUAHAHAHAHA. But seriously, nice video :P
  20. Actually, now that I think about it, most private hives do seem to be what you are wanting to go after. Just try out a few random ones, if you die or something, no biggie (since they each have their own separate hives). People are also generally much nicer. In one instance, I've had a guy give me and my friend a free bus and some loot he got from NWAF. With the bus, we passed by another car and instead of trying to kill each other like we would have done in the main hive, we instead traded items and talked. Afterwards, they gave us extra gas as a farewell gift. Overall much more of a community, if a small one. The only problem is that if you are using it as your main character, there isn't really any other server to go to and private servers usually have low populations. Also, what map are you looking for? Chernarus or Lingor or...?

    Charachter development

Not to be rude at all... but please, for the love of god, learn how to spell "character."
  22. Having a server with no hackers all the time is simply impossible. A civil community is also hit-or-miss, along with most other variables. Most private hives have global chat, and I found US 999 to be a pretty nice server, but again, there are none in existence that can match your criteria.

    Status Indicators Not Working

Debug Menu = For Debug purposes... note "Debug." You can still turn it on through options, but it freezes your meters. Don't worry, it will soon be removed altogether! :).

    Dayz Blood Transfusions

Has been suggested already a ton of times before, try the search function.

This Is A Sad, Sad Day.

Oh, great. As it turns out, I still had the same stats and was still on Day 59, but right when I realized it I got hit by a zombie, and, with the lack of a bandage due to having zero loot, I quickly died and respawned with a bandit suit despite having only 1 player kill on the old char right when I started! Wonderful :P.
