You probably won't get a Ghillie suit for it, although you could probably haggle just an ALICE pack from someone if you get lucky. I personally don't like the Bizon SD, and the no mags is a killer for me.

I think it's great girls play games. Last time I checked, a law wasn't past forbidding any and all females that they couldn't sit down and relax with a good old video game every once in a while. Hell, they are usually pretty good at playing games too. Thing is, it kind of annoys me when they try to make it so pronounced. I am not trying to insult you at all, but the main reason I see for this thread is for you to proclaim that, "I'M A WOMAN AND I PLAY DAYZ Z0MG!11!" *EDIT* Don't get me wrong, I can see someone being genuinely curious about this stuff, and I am not saying that proclaiming the fact that your a woman playing games is the reason behind this, it just seems like it would be :P

Like the others said, the engine they will be using they basically created, so it will be extremely quick and fast with little issues. Plus, Geoverse doesn't seem to be the best choice. At all. What have we seen? One video of a km squared map that has zero animation or even movement, just a bunch of copy-pasta models of trees and statues. Once we see a game that successfully uses it, then I will be all for it. But until then, it's not going to happen.

I recently looted an MK48 Mod 0 Camo from a dead guy in Cherno. It came with no ammo and I really don't feel like I need a massive LMG to mow people down. But then I realized I could probably trade it for a good deal on the forums, so I stuffed it in my pack and now I'm here. Just make suggestions, I am aiming for a Ghillie suit/NVGs, or an M4A1 CCO SD (preferably with ammo) as I had that gun on a previous life and loved it. Thanks! :)

Unfortunately, after finding a magazine of ammo for the MK and trying it out, it turns out it was actually hacked in as it caused me to remove my backpack. *sigh* If only I could find a good weapon that wasn't hacked into the game :P.

I've survived 100% solo for 2 months on a character. Stole a bus and had some of the best loot in the game. Sadly, it is also very boring, as the only good way to survive this long is to hide out in the woods hunting.

Pretty much what US Elite said. There is zero experience/skills/ANYTHING in this game, and you can forget that anything close to it will ever be implemented. Never get attached to good gear, you are going to eventually die. When being chased by a horde in a city, run indoors (since Zeds can only walk in buildings) and then run back out a different entrance. You should be able to lose their line of sight pretty easily. Crouch run in big cities so you still move fast without being too loud. Always watch possible sniper perches, chances are someone is camping there for guys like you to go looting. As you learn how to play, backpacks will become extremely useful, with the bigger ones being able to hold an extra primary weapon. To activate items such as food, drink, bandages, etc., go to inventory, right click, and the option should come up. Upon spawn, loot up in big cities and then get out ASAP, once you have a water canteen, a hatchet (doesn't have to take up primary weapon slot, goes to toolbet), hunting knife, and box of matches, you can become completely independent in the woods by hunting animals and refilling water from ponds, lakes, and water pumps. Always loot as fast as you can. Any questions? *EDIT* Should also bring up medical supplies. You have several different effects in this game. Most common is bleeding, has a good chance of happening when falling, getting shot, or getting hit by a zed. Can be stopped with bandages, which are extremely common. Have a small chance of breaking legs when getting hit by a zed, and are guaranteed to get one when getting shot in the leg with a decent weapon and falling from great heights. Can be fixed with slightly rarer morphine, which can be most commonly found in hospitals, medical tents, and military areas such as fire houses. Always make sure you have at least one morphine on you, as getting a broken leg is basically suicide. Can go into shock when falling or being attacked by a player. Basically, it's a repellent for people to Alt+F4 during battle, as all it does is cause you to fall unconscious when logging back in. Wears off on its own after 3-5 minutes. Falling unconscious, as mentioned above, happens on relogging with the shock effect. It can also happen if a zed hits you and you have 9,000 blood or below, and you can also randomly fall unconscious with less than 3,000 blood. If another player is with you, he/she can use an epi-pen to jerk you awake. Experiencing pain can happen any time you fall, get shot, or are hit by a zed. Causes extreme shakiness in first-person, can be fixed with fairly common painkillers. When low on blood, another player can administer you a blood transfusion with a moderately rare blood bag. This restores you to full health after being applied. Health can also be gained by eating food; 200 blood for canned food, 800 blood for cooked steaks. Sickness also happens when players get too cold. Below 33C (or something like that) will give you a cold, which will cause shakiness similar to being in pain. Can be fixed by running in daylight, staying by a fire, or staying indoors/in a vehicle. A more dangerous infection (has a very small chance of happening at 36C or below I believe) will cause you to cough and splutter and lose 3 blood per second until you reach 6000 blood. This can only be fixed by antibiotics, by far the rarest medical item in the game and of which can only be found in hospitals. It currently takes a very long time to actually get sick from cold weather, hopefully it goes faster in the future.

Maybe I could still get something or another from it still? I mean, it is a camouflaged machine gun, not something you see every day :P

I would do it solely for the sake of having something to do (pretty bored right now :P), although I'm guessing you're not taking more experienced players just for the hell of it lol

Processor and RAM should be fine, but that graphics adapter probably won't cut it. I at least recommend getting one of the newer 7000 series AMD cards or 600 series nVidia ones, even basic models will be able to run it better than the Intel chip.

I have decided that, after playing for 3 months, it is going to finally pay off to do a straight-up run all the way to NWAF. This is my first run ever; The most far North I've ever gone (not counting spawns along the coast) is Stary Sobor. Yes, I am a newb :P. Anway, just wanted some tips from you guys. I will probably play on a medium-pop server (high enough so most are too scared to go to NWAF, but low enough so there are few courageous enough to do so). I just wanted to ask: How much food and drink do I really need? Any important stops along the way? I am going to ignore Stary; I just want to get to and from NWAF as fast as possible. Should I full-on sprint, crouch-run, etc. etc. Also, how long do you guesstimate it to take to get there? Any help is much appreciated :).

Again, I was spawned back on the coast with zero loot. I am going to do a quick Cherno/Elektro loot run and then do the incredibly boring run yet again back to Rogovo *sigh*

I personally hate when people use 3rd person to peek around walls and stuff, it's just that the first person view seems to make me nauseous for some reason. I will switch to first person in combat, and 3rd person when just running places so I don't constantly feel sick and so I can have a wider FoV.

Oh, yes. Wonderful. Make it to Rogovo and I end up teleporting yet fucking again to the coast with absolutely zero loot when the server restarted. This has happened to me twice in two days. Ridiculous, this is starting to get old >.>

Alright guys... I've already passed Northern Berezino, heading in a direction just North of Zeleno now. So far, so good. Food and Water meters are currently orangeish.

Oh, fine ;). Alright, sounds like I'm good to go. Will be forgetting about visiting Zeleno and will just be straight-up running NW until I reach the aforementioned road. From there... We'll see! I'll give you guys updates as I go along.

Well I already have all the hunting/meat cooking supplies, and I also have a map. But, I am missing a compass- is this that important? I know the southern half of the map very well, so will this be a major thing if I don't have one?
