Looking for CZ50,Rangefinder and a ghillie

Rare stuff, especially military-grade silenced weapons. I myself have been searching for an M4A1 CCO SD for so long now. Along with that NVGs are always in high-demand, along with GPSs and things like ghillie suits. Oh yeah, and collectors will do anything to get their hands on a Mtn. Dew. So basically silenced weapons, rare, high-powered military weapons, ghillie suits, stuff like that.

    Solo Survivor Bored

Hehehe I remember doing this a bit different of a way... there was this really unorganized group that I saw when I was heading down south by Cherno. I just decided to start following them for fun. Then, two of the players ran back into the city alone. I know that I wasn't in big trouble because I could hear them talking through direct chat, so they wouldn't be able to communicate where or how they were killed to the others. So I positioned myself and sniped the two while they were looting the hospital (I believe they were getting a blood bag for their friend). The other guys heard the shots of my DMR so ran over. They were all freaking out in chat when I shot another one of them. At this point they were basically running away and I got one last chance to laugh in direct as they fucked everything and ran. It was quite funny because, even though they actually had excellent gear, they were extremely disorganized and were more freaking the fuck out than anything else. Luckily I'm not too much of a dick anymore ;)

Is there any age limit for DayZ??

It's all about what your parents believe you should be playing (which is unfortunate since many parents are so ignorant of ratings that, unless it contains any thing sex-related, they couldn't give less of a fuck). In my personal opinion DayZ it self isn't too violent; there's no dismemberment or ridiculously large puddles of blood, just when you get hit a small spurt of blood comes out and your face gets scrambled up when you die. However since it's online play it's likely you'll come across excessive swearing, possible racism/sexism, and overall immature assholes. In my opinion you shouldn't play this game because squeakers annoy the hell out of me and your parents will probably not approve of stuff said online.

Why don't you go for a DMR instead of a CZ? It has a 20 bullet mag, works with NVGs, is semiautomatic, and has (in my opinion) an awesome scope. Also, the 5 M24 mags you have can be turned into DMR mags. But you are asking way too much... the M24 isn't that rare, not worth a ghillie suit and rangefinders. And everyone and their grandma can find a CZ in a barn or deer stand.

    Rules of Engagment

I will never go out of my way to kill someone, as I already have all the gear I need and trying to hunt somebody down generally results in my own death more than my original victim's. However, if there is a completely open opportunity to kill an armed player, than I usually go for it, as it's one less thorn in my side I have to deal with later on (I just make sure I move out of the area ASAP, as revenge hungry guys who got lucky and found that AK early on generally head straight to where their bodies were before with intentions to get their gear back and kill anyone in sight).Ignore unarmed players.

Sick of being KOS'd, need to becone survivor

Over time, you will slowly gain back humanity (as long as you don't murder anymore people of course :P ). The fastest way is generally through bandaging, blood bagging, and giving morphine to other survivors, although this will, of course, be exceptionally hard since pretty much no one but your closest friends trust you. I'm not sure, but killing zombies should also give you some humanity, albeit not much. What level is it at right now?
  7. The Stoned Wolf

What the hell do I do now?

Wow, even on a public hive it seems you were downright unlucky. In over 6 months of playing dayz, I've only ever encountered hackers thrice. But as others have said, private servers are a lot better atm anyway.
  8. The Stoned Wolf

    Connor's Caravan!

Seems interesting, might join. I'll be sending you a message on Steam, you can find me under the name Mickusey. EDIT: After searching both of your names I cannot find a single match? Except for "bullseye vaughn" in which some dutch guy comes up.
  9. The Stoned Wolf

"Zombie Life Cycle" How it would work?

It would be an excellent idea but as you said it just wouldn't be possible with how the current code and everything works. Then again you probably shouldn't listen to me since I'm a complete amateur at this stuff, but still =3

We need some assholes on US46

What? Murder you and steal all your gear? Oh, stop! You're too kind! ^_^
  11. The Stoned Wolf

    US 911 - Private Hive - Forts

Sounds interesting, in fact I think I'll log on right now! ;) EDIT: It appears that even after turning all filters off on DayZ Commander it still refuses to show me anything?
  12. Oh, when I made the poor decision to buy this game it took 4 hours. And for me it took 6 shots, but whatever :P. Also I have some emotional loathing against them due to a personal experience with mod abuse from them as well, so yes, I am a bit biased.

How to Make A Proper Transaction With Bandits

That kid at the end sounded like he was on the verge of crying.... This was awesome! Lol, happy new year :)
  14. The Stoned Wolf

    Horses for Transport

We also need cowboy outfits and lasso's! Oh, and the ability to fire from horseback. Then I can turn into the 1800s style cowboy zombie slayer I've always dreamed of :D
  15. The Stoned Wolf

    Food Question

Yeah, only should really worry about it is if you have no food/drink at all and it's approaching red. As long as your screen isn't black and white and the hunger/thirst meters aren't blinking, you're good. The debug display was only an early version functionality. A lot of people disliked it because it was kind of distracting and was also a bit unrealistic. It has since been removed, so there's your answer :P
  16. The Stoned Wolf

    Bandit --> Survial???

Someone who gets a substantially large amount of humanity by helping others and is rewarded with a special skin. I am fairly sure it makes lower caliber bullets ineffective against them as well as having several other benefits, such as a faster running speed. It's exceptionally rare to find a person in one though, since there's so few willing to even be helped out in the first place for fear of possible bandits :P

    DayZ Standalone Discussion

I would just like to reiterate, especially with what's been going on with the whole depression ordeal and everything else; I don't care if I wait 3 months for a game. I don't care if I wait 3 years for a game. All I care about is quality, and the dev team deserves all the time they need. Especially since the WarZ turned out to be a total and utter scam, it is likely no longer even competition for them and I have no doubts that this game, no matter its flaws, will be amazing, just like the mod was. I wish Rocket the absolute best of luck and I want him to know that everyone supports him to the fullest. Now get back to making a great game, and have an awesome new year! ;)
  18. The Stoned Wolf

    Food Question

Your hunger meter can be found in the bottom right. It's the icon with the fork and knife. In addition to regaining health, food must also be used to satisfy this hunger meter that slowly goes down. If you have both full blood and full hunger, than the food will just be wasted, yes. EDIT: Also, what color is your blood meter at? (it looks like a drop in the bottom right)
  19. So many things, man... it looks and runs absolutely horrible, it has some of the worst animations of any game I have played in the last 5 years, there are so many bugs in this game it makes Skyrim look like the most bug/glitch free game ever created. You can die by literally stepping down a hill. Hackers? Imagine DayZ multiplied by 10 (so much for Sirgay's hack-proof anti-cheat engine). There is extremely little to do; no vehicles, only one map that's tiny, it takes at least 6-10 shots with a hammer to the head to kill just one zombie... God, I could go on and on. The thing is, even if this game was amazing and awesome, I still wouldn't get it because the devs are lying, censoring assholes that couldn't care less about their community and game. I mean, micro-transactions? What the fuck is the point of a survival game when you could just head to the store and buy a bunch of food, water, and medical supplies? Not to mention they make you wait 4 hours to play on a character again and the skills/money system is completely useless now anyway so there's no point in keeping a character, except for when you hit the cap on how many you can make. Just a godawful game with asshole devs. Pathetic excuse for a cash-in.
  20. The Stoned Wolf

    Hatchet as a secondary?

I agree, this would make the most sense and would also be the least annoying (in my opinion). Still, I personally find no real use for melee weapons except for getting fire wood and silently breaking hospital glass >.<
  21. The Stoned Wolf

    Doubt!!

Are you asking if they come together? If so, then yes. Combined Operations includes both ArmA II and Operation Arrowhead.
  22. The Stoned Wolf

    How long have you survived?

Longest I've ever survived is 60 days. But it was excruciatingly boring as the only effective way to survive for more than 1 month is generally avoiding other players as much as possible and staying hidden in the woods. Although it was interesting the first time around playing it like this :P
  23. WarZ turned out to just be a cash-in on DayZ so expect pretty much the same content just much, much more rich and realistic, and with multiple much larger maps. And with a good, dedicated dev. The game does get boring after you spend a few months playing it, at least imo, simply because at this point the content is very limited because of its alpha stage and mod restrictions. However there is a good amount of objectives you can make for yourself, such as fix up a car, set up a camp, hunt for survivors/bandits, hunt animals, get to this specific place and loot it, even make a group or clan and conduct raids on other bands of players. Not much from a pure number of things to do standpoint, but the experiences you get doing these things are what makes it so amazing.
  24. The Stoned Wolf

    Can somebody explain this?

Pretty much what has been said before, lag, glitches, desync, the fact that the hatchet is a pretty horribly inaccurate weapon. All that jazz. Although it almost appeared that he was a hacker... sort of. I mean, he seemed kind of relaxed with everything. Even after you hit him 3 times and he was gushing out blood, he was still pretty calmly just running back and forth, attempting to aim at you. It was pretty comical to be honest :P.

    Helping Out Players

Sounds like a cool thing to do, when I last played I believe there was something like this going on but it never really took off. I wish you the best of luck in teaching those newbies, though! They have no idea what we "vets" went through in the olden days ;)
