My brain imploded from all of the choices available, however taking into account the stuff that the devs have already confirmed for SA (dog companions, crafting, vehicle customization, etc.) I just went for what I have been craving for. A) Persistent scars. This just sounds amazing, and really brings into light the concept of a "battle scar." Scars could look different depending on the weapon used, and they could also function as a trophy or sign that you have won a battle before.(e.g. I took a revolver to the head and lived, and I've got this big ass hole in my skull to prove it! ;) ) B ) Vomiting, coughing, etc. as physical signs of sickness sounds awesome as well. Maybe you could add in slowly paling skin or popping of veins as well? Something akin to "Amy" (disregarding how bad of a game that was of course :P). C) Character customization for obvious reasons. I thought this should include clan or group signs as well since that is a part of your clothing and therefore should be included with this. D) The ability to post notes or bounties for other players. One of the only features in the WarZ that actually sounded cool when I first read about it. Just make it less of a failure, please? E) The ability to tame and take care of wild horses as a form of transportation. They could also have some kind of bond with the player that means that if some other player finds a horse that's been with someone else for a couple of months, it will be very hard to tame.

So. I had met someone friendly in game the other day. We teamed up for a bit and got a bambi to come along with us. Unfortunately the newb shot my friend in the back about 5 minutes after we picked him up and nearly killed me. I was able to recover but my friend had needed to gear up. So anyway, after having extreme hassles trying to get him re-equipped, he finally was ready. Then it took us another day to find eachother because of constant deaths and confusions. Which led to more re-gearing problems. Long story short, it was a complete and utter pain in the ass. But, to the point; After finally finding each other, I ended up repeatedly getting kicked from what must've been 5 different servers. I tried to persist yet again after an hour and successfully spawned in! Or so it seems. I spawned on the coast with starter gear and my stats reset. Thinking it was a bug with DayZ commander and I accidentally chose a private server, I tried another. And another. And it was still the same! This isn't a rage thread (whatever the title may imply), however I'm just confused as to how this could happen. My combat indicator was never activated and thus the game thinking I force quit with it on couldn't have happened. I definitely was never actually killed in game. I mean, something like this has happened before, but I still had the same skin, a completely empty inventory, and the same stats. But just outright restarting from scratch, as if it was an entirely new character? Just plain weird. Especially considering all that had happened was that I was kicked a few times.

My in-game name is not Excision, so no it was not me. But are you implying that you are a hacker?

Basically what the title says. I've been looking for NVGs a while now and have had no luck in finding them, so if someone who wants a badass LMG w/ ammo would like to give me my cheap, extremely common household toy, that would be great =3

Hmm... hackers... teleportation... respawn... I was probably killed by a hacker or something as soon as I logged on but didn't notice ( I was talking to a friend in Steam). At least, this is the only valid explanation I can possibly come up with.

No, I had been on this character for 2 months and was able to switch between main hive servers easily. But another odd thing was that the first server that I went on that spawned me on the coast had something called a "Monky Monitor", which was basically just a mock debug. I remember spawning in this server before. The last time, I still had all my shit, it just teleported me half-way across the map. So maybe it's something up with that specific server?

To be fair they take bullets like a pro. I mean a cow took 4 revolver shots to the head to go down, not exactly feeble little farm animals if you ask me >.> OT: Um... what use would a cat have? I mean really? Other than leaving a dead rat or something for you to eat it seems like all they'd do is shit and run like hell whenever they're in danger. I suppose you could use their incredible cuteness to distract bandits =P

If you wanted to kill them, why didn't you just say "friendly," take the chance to get close to them, and then shoot 'em all at once when they're right in front of you? Simply being quiet immediately causes them to think your hostile and thus it's harder to kill them than if you were to claim friendly, get right next to them, and then shoot them.

Technically they are infected humans, not real, undead zombies, but I see where you're going. The only problem is that, like others have said, it'd be ridiculously easy to outrun them. However I guess if they came from literally everywhere (including the woods) and they could kill you in 4-5 hits it'd be very, very interesting.

For some reason I have found that certain private hives are marked as official servers (I found a DayZ Taviana private server that was listed even when I unchecked show unofficial servers). But yeah, make sure that you aren't going from private hives to the main hive or vice versa.

I was with somebody for nearly a month. We became good friends over Skype and shared weapons and supplies. We had eventually had tons of vehicles and a kickass camp with tons of top-tier gear. Anyway, we were going to Devil's Castle to raid an enemy camp, and I always knew I could count on him to save me if I were to get shot. Guess not. Apparently he decided to join the enemy, because right when we entered the castle he said, "Sorry, dude!", shot me in the head, and deleted me off Skype (kind of similar to Gooner's story). And this was after we became good friends, fixed up vehicles together, and shared our gear. Later on I checked our camp and all the tents were destroyed and the vehicles were gone. Just goes to show you; you can never trust anyone.

So... you have a dead hanging guy fetish?
