as i know primary guns need 10 free spot in backpack to not disappear. + the ammos you got. when you try to put your primary gun into your backpack the ammo gets to put there automatically. with numbers. you have an AKM equipped with 5 AKM rounds for it. if you wan't to put your AKM into your backpack, you will need 15 free slots in total so none of the Gun nor any of the Clips disappear. hope it helps you.

looted. thats the problem with servers that Clans own for instance. they restart the server. and each member goes to a known Crash Site location and loot. there you go. free NVGs for your clan.

i personally use this most of the time. PS.: this won't work if you have a big agro. DON'T even listen to him... NEVER unarm yourself from your guns. you need to learn how to lose zeds without making too big noise and without other players noticing you. If you unarm yourself just to throw some axe swings... you are good as dead. If i were to meet you and see that you got an axe as your primary... let's just say my problems with finding supplies are no more ;) -A Proud Bandit :) PS.: Road flares? As decoys? really? why not just start yelling in direct chat as you run through Cherno that you want to get killed :)

you need to wait a few minutes so the Hive can save your items. OR you were on a server which had it's own Hive (god i hate those)...

and how bringing the starting weapon back would stop you from dropping your gun and go bare handed? why you even want a gun? you can just abuse the legal glitches and lose agro. you don't even need a gun or any sort of weapon, go HC and survive the pacifist way. DayZ's first rule. Trust no one. So why should i trust a guy who says trust me when i don't know him?

okey. i wish you luck :) just remember items dont respawn in DayZ only when server restarts. good spots are usually scavenged asap leaving others without anything. old Chars dominate atm.

Hello dear community. I just posted the same thing in a discussion, but i've felt new players won't see it there, so i made a separate topic for this information. Some of you will find this method cheap and unfair. Please understand the learning curve for this game is very big and not noob friendly without starting any weapon (not even a stick...) For new players with this system i can only give 1 tip... server hopping. run to Elektro/Cherno as you spawn, make your way into the store (zombies that chased you will buzz off in there. and loot everything ni the store. then leave the server, and join a new 1. you will be again in the store with new loots. rince and repeat this TILL YOU'VE FOUND A MAP. Chances are you will find one very soon. Life is much easier if you got a map. Most important thing. As a new player and without Bandit skins, only join servers with ZERO (0) ppl in it so you can loot the store safely. once you feel you got yourself enough ammunition/weapons/bandage/morphine/etc. you can go and live the big world of populated servers. Basically you guys need to follow 1 rule (damn i will get flamed for this), SHOOT ON SIGHT. Don't try to chit-chat with with other players. After you got your Map: Get going to THIS LOCATION: http://dayzdb.com/map#6.063.076 Aim for the little red dots there. Those are military tents which often have some good weapons. I won't deny it. I did some server leave/join new server to get enough ammo. Tents there often spawn Assault Rifles with Scopes (red dot or ACOG scope). Keep in mind YOU NEED TO HAVE enough food/drink for this journey cause its a long walk. I can't stress enough to get a MAP first so you can aim there directly. Most servers allow to use "pin-pointing" on maps. You can do this with "Shift+Left click" on the area you you wish to travel to. When you close the map you will see an indicator ingame which shows which way you need to head to and what distance it's at. You will probably see Big black Circle markings on the map saying "Meet here/any gibberish". NEVER go there. Those are created by other Players and it's mostly a TRAP. You can delete those from the map by hovering your mouse over them and PRES DELETE on your keyboard. "pinpoint" locations are NOT visible by other players, safe to use. Hope i helped a little to my fellow new players. i've just started 4 days ago and had a very hard to start out. Literally i died 21times in the first 3-4hour. Pls keep in mnid this topic is intended to help other new players. If you get the urge to start to flame and call others by names or call us low players. just count to 10 and relax. sadly that quite a bit of ppl is really bit. Met a few players already in Chernerus... last guy yelled "friendly" at me and shot me in the leg, luckily i got a fast HS on him and survived... but i didn't had any morphine left so i had to travel from NW Airfield to the nearest hospital in PRONE. Can you imagine how long it took for me to got to one?... Now i don't ask anything. Just shoot.

i'm curious and afraid to ask... how did he alt+f4? for me that weapon combination never worked. yes i did try to do it once. 3 days ago when i bought the game and i got butchered by zombies in under 2min :D PS.: no1 disconnected yet whoever i killed thus far.

what my guesses are.: A: they are server hopping so they can loot hundreds of ties the airfield per day. B: they either own a server and just make a server restart so everything spawns fresh. no matter what having that many NVGs and sniper rifles are not from legit gameplay.

that's your point of view, and i respect it. i'm glad we don't need to argue whos right, since there's no zombie apocalypse on us :) let's just play the game as it feels right for you. i personally not kill for fun (though i do admit i play CoD on my 360), instead i kill for survival. Usually i try to evade other players. if i see them i either wait till they are gone, or i i give some warning shots to scare them away. IF i'm in a building looting and i bump into some1... well that's bad luck for him. i have a good reaction time. To sum it up: i only kill if i can't evade other players by no mean... but then i pull the trigger without hesitation. not caring what he's yelling.

if this were happen in real life... the first time you would try to help a random stranger your wife would get raped, you kids would get butchered, and after you suffered you would be killed too. you are way too optimistic here my friend. humans are not lived through the history by being smart. Humans live cause they are the most brutal killers on the planet. you really think if zombie infection would happen... the few survivors would go hand by hand building a bright new future? PS.: sorry if i was too harsh or "rape" word usage is not allowed. I'm new around the forums. :) PS.: i had a guy once who was unarmed without anything in his hands yelling friendly. when i turned away he equipped his AK and blow my head off. Now i just shoot on sight any1. Hunt or get Hunted... i prefer to Hunt. :)

as i've literally started playing DayU 3 days ago, after this change, i have to say getting the first weapon is damn hard- My little story of my first day. First spawn: Middle of nowhere without anything... aight i just go to a small town and get myself soe fireaxe at least... died before i even found an entryable building. Second/Third/Fourth/Tenth span was the same. Eleventh was different... i finally got an Axe... i had to run through 3 small towns for it, and like 50 zombies were following me. died right after i got my axe. 12th: got my axe in Elektro (which now i know was elektro), yet i died to a survivor. i possibly could have survived or at least defend myself with a small pistol... since he only had a Makarov too. For me it was very discouraging to even bother anymore with the game. since i'm that type of person who never gives up, i continue till i got the hang of it. Now i'm pretty well geard. What i'm trying to get to Dear Rocket. the game has a very hard and long learning curve which will discourage a lot of players. for instance my friends. i understand there are hardcore players who worship this gamechange. why not make both sides happy? when you create your Char, give us the option to start wiith or without a handicap (pistol) or stleast an Axe... really, the few survivors in a zombie apocalypse don't even have a stick to defend themselves?

exciting? i just kill every1 i meet with. i'm not gonna risk my life just so i can know their motivation. removing the bandit skin was a bad idea. now groupping is less and mass killing is frequent.
