dont get me wrong. i do kill every1 on sight. IF he's not in a starting area. If the guy (even freshly spawn) wonders up north and i see him... i don't hesitate for a minute. That guy just saved some time for me to go into a town and scavenge food and water. but i do avoid Cherno and Elektro since (for me atleast) thats a starting area. Now dont start hating on me (booo he kills fresh spawns up north). If you left the starting area and headed to North it means you feel prepared and that you can defend yourself.

I get around 50-60fps in small/medium towns and 20-30 in big cities like Cherno/Elektro on High/Very High settings. I suggest you visit this topic in the forums: http://dayzmod.com/f...phics-properly/ and tune your settings (that topic really helped me, i was suffering from FPS too at first). Your PC should be viable to run the game on a pretty good graphics (obviously not maxed out). 9800 GT is a good card, even if it's old. It fits perfectly with an 1680*1050 resolution. Sure there could be better VGAs for that resolution. But... and thats a BIG BUT. It doesnt worth to upgrade his VGA unless he gets a new monitor andnew rig so he wont get capped. With a slightly better VGA he wouldnt reach that big of an FPS increase. waste of money.

that reminds me of one of my affairs :D i was looting in Cherno as a fresh spawn the military tents and only had an axe... I noticed a guy in Camo cloths with an A4, obviously he tried to shoto me, i ran into his face and kept running around him , turned on direct communication, and kept yelling IM DANCIN LOOK IM DANCIN while i was smashing his head with my axe and finally killed me. i bet he was pissed.

why people never mention their monitor?... i mean... your GPU could be just fine for DayZ to run if you don't have an 1920*1080 resolution. seeing ppl give advice "yeah upgrade it, its old!" seem to forget no matter what GPU and CPU he has if he plays on for example 1024*768.

really? with my clanmate we met 5 hackers in 2 days. Killed a guy who had a ghilie suit an AS50 NVG/GPS/technically everything. we want into the forest for several clicks away from that location. The same guy appeared with AGAIn in a ghillie suit and having AGAIN everything he had before. yep he humiliated us so we lost our hard earned items. next server, we get some stuffs finally for all of us, same scenario. we invade Stary Sobor, a guy spawns (with Ghillie...) in 1 of the military tents while my mate is there he gets killed, i get to kill the guy... so i hide on high ground so i can guard my friends corpse till he gets back to get his stuffs back. Yet the guy which i just killed happens to be back at stary sobor under 2 minutes with AGAIN A GHILLIE with some thermo scoped M4 which is even silenced and almost kills me. Lucky me, he was a terrible shot and i could kill him. Right after that my clanmate told me to disconnect and just forget his items. Yes, i disconnected. i dont want to get teleported into the air and die. on another server we got teleported around, another guy spawned in vehicles... 1 guy was even some karate moves which killed any1 who was aiming at (?!?!?!?!?!) Hacker problem do exist and battleye is NOT enough to handle it. the Scripting needs to be removed as a whole from DayZ. It's not a fix... but a good start.

i only spawn killed once my with DMR. i was low on Blood, bleeding (aggressive bushes FML) and without any bandage. I did notice a fresh spawn player on the road... and well, just look at my signature. he had to die. i wasn't proud of it, but if anything, this wasn't an unnecessary kill.

Hello. I would be interested, although possibly i'm out of gear currently. My char which had a DMR with 5 mags, an M4A1 CCO SD with 5mags and around 80kills and 100+ robbery (yes i'm not necessarily killing my victims if they comply). NVG and Rangefinder etc etc... I was invading Cherno last night to resupply at the local hospital so i climbed the tower at the fire station to have an overview about possible hostiles. Due to when i was climbing (trying) down the ladder my Char fell down and broke its leg and gone in stun state while bleeding. there was still like 20-25sec till i can move again and hopefully live through as i was out of bandage. Server restarted at that time... So keep in mind that theres a chance that i'm out of gear currently. Little BIO about me.: I live in Hungary and 26years old, which means i live in GMT+1/+2 timezone, but i do play all time of the day mostly on max 10 player servers since hackers are much less frequent there. If you feel like i would be your man, please hit me up in PM :) PS.: I'm used to using voice-com although my english can be very accentish :) Cheers PPS.: I would be interested in the heavy gunner position. i've already sniped my ass off. that is true. on the other hand. hacking can be greatly reduced. i mean... by just disabling scripting would be a start. wouldn't it?

no he isn't. if ppl really died that fast in big numbers you had all right to assume it was a hacker (which is not rare). on a side note, when disconnect exploit is fixed. man up and take your cover in the store. you won't feel anything ;P

just as calling someone a kid. it's been already an outdated offensive word when i really was a kid. if you can't understand the hint in my sentence and you did find it "tough guy talk" i pity you. glad we had a chat. it was refreshing.

that's what i was thinking about too. but it can take ages too, so i understand that OP tries to trade too.

you can play it alone without a problem. tough you need to know the common routes bandits/survivors use when going alone or in groups so you can predict situations. personally i usually play as a solo bandit. i take out groups of 3-4 ppl without any problem. all you need is a steady hand and good aiming then you're good to go.

being a medic doesn't mean your stupid. my group who i play witht these days has its own medics. their rule? move in a squad of 3 ppl. 1 heading to help the injured. 2 on high ground giving cover for the injured+medic. usually a few warning shots right next to them will scare them off.

not true. i played already on several LA located servers which had GMT+2 timezone settings.

Firstly, welcome. Now to be on topic. Sadly very few PC games have good controller support. DayZ isn't one of them. If you plan on gaming with your PC, you need to adapt to our style of gameplay (keyboard+mouse), just as i did when i bought my xbox not so long ago (damn it was hard in the first weeks to get used to sticks).

nice story :) i prefer AK over AKM. sure AKM has more firepower, but it gets paired with very high shooting sounds. i dont like that :P
