Thank you for the amazing work. Keep it up! Edit: Maybe post it in general discussion - it will get more attention there.

Well, if the key was stolen because of issues in security of e.g. ARMA, it's BI fault, that they screwed up their software, and not fault of customer.

Snipers are fine...

I'd say that both are good, considering it being a laptop video card. I personally will go with nvidia, but that is just me.

How to best destroy an enemy camp
Sinoby replied to Zambeezee's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
We take everything of a value out from tents, save them, then run them over. On next server restart tents are back but w/o the stuff we took away. -
Depends on what do you call veteran. I'va been playing for quite some time and I'm not bored. Main thing for me - not to "over-play" the game. I don't login everyday as I used to three months ago, but I still play the game, and I do have fun. Graphical bug is fixable for half of the players, yesterday we raided nwaf and everybody were able too see Fine without artifacts. And, sadly, hacker problem can not be fixed that easily. So I decided for myself that some 13-15 y.o will not ruin my fun. I want this game to develop into something big and I'm willing to help.

Something that nobody understands about DayZ
Sinoby replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I used to play sneaky and lived for long enough. But as others have stated - it takes considerably more time to sneak around everywhere. The time efficiency of this method is not high, you get the loot slower, you meet less players etc. Now we just drive into a town, loot everything and leave the town asap with zeds trailing us. Looks epic and much more fun. In such playstyle I've found considerably more gear and met more players, found more heli crashes. And my current character is alive for quite some time now. -
Poll: Should Barbed wire be removed?
Sinoby replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'd say it should be fixed so you can't put it thru walls and it should take more then 1 inventory space. I mean 1 crossbow bolt takes 1 inventory space and the wire takes 1 - it doesn't make any sense. -
OK, another example about saddening other players. In sports people are playing against each other, the winning team celebrates victory and the losing team is really sad about their lost. So are you saying that winning team should just stop and don't win the next time? So the other team will not feel bad? The result will be - the ex-winners will loose while the other team will celebrate their victory. Now the ex-winners are feeling bad since they lost. I think that comparing a video game to a real-life crime is wrong. You are not taking candy from a baby. You are winning, and the other side is losing. That is called a game because it is a competition.

I would go with L85 - it has thermal/nightvision, it has that laser pointer, and it is decent for up to 250-300m. It is great for scouting.

I do understand what OP is saying, my decisions do affect other players. But the thing is - this game is cruel, if you get attached to your character. I mean if a person rages after dying in fire-fight, then probably perma-death sandbox games are not for him. And actually, my thoughts about dayz that the destination doesn't matter, it's all about the journey. There is no such thing as "I've bit the game". It's not like you are close to completion of the game and get shot. You collect your gear to survive - against the zeds and players. Once you die - you lost the game, try again. But you can't win the game, you can't be close to winning at all. I don't get why people keep saying "I have invested given amount of time into this character, and I got killed." That person has invested the time into playing the game, as an outcome he had a geared character, but the he died. That life is over for him, the game is not. You start over and play better this time. Again, it's bout the actual gameplay and enjoyment you get while it, not about some mythical goal. Enjoy the gameplay.

A Sad Story from A Sad Panda + Questions
Sinoby replied to The Sad Panda's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
At our server rental provider servers are like $1 per slot. Which results in $40 per 40 slot. If you feel like joining a low-pop server - I'll gladly meet you at DE 81 :) Great read btw, thanks for sharing -
Im playing on pretty low populated server lately (12-20ppl), but we constantly bump into other players. Just today I was running on the hill in the treeline when I saw a wookie running towards me. I f*nig panicked and popped several shots into him. I think he D/C'ed because I haven't found his body. So yeah, it's all about luck (or unluck :) ).

Nice one man! To the topic - stay away of the coast. Try to arm yourself in barns and run north. Get to e.g. Zelenogorsk, it has a lot of loot spots to gear you up. Alternatively try to group up with someone via Survivor camp sub-forum here. Life is much easier when you play together.

HOw i feel about the way the survival is in this game.
Sinoby replied to dustyfellow's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, the ga,e changed comparing to several month back when. I still like it, I've just changed my playstyle. I would love to see the game developing back to more survival though. -
Stupidest Ways to Die in DayZ
Sinoby replied to RainboWarrior's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Trying to go prone under a bush and then trying to stand up... broke my legs and got shocked. Then, once the shock was over, my char tried to stand up again automatically, which resulted in death. Yesterday I tried to drive a Tractor, which blew up shortly after Hitting a small branch. I did survive that because battle eye kicked me with #55 error. Thanks BE I guess. -
DayZ has "high" amount of upload - how can I decrease that
Sinoby replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This game is really client-side heavy. Lot's of information is handled by the client and then transfered to server e.g. zombies. Zeds "belong" to one client, and then they are transfered to server and after that to other clients nearby. Same goes for loot and some other stuff. Nothing can be done about that. -
Will try to raid it in the evening ;)

Do you guys think there is a magical button, which Rocket, as developer of the mod, can press and it will make hackers go away? It can't be done in two weeks, heck, Arma is struggling with hackers for years now. It is a major flaw in the Arma engine which allows clients to do stuff, they should not be doing. It can not be fixed on the mod level. If you want to flood forums - go to ARMA forums and post there. You'va bought ARMA and not DayZ after all. If you have any proofs of people hacking - report it in Cheat Reporting branch of forums.
-
I think I can justify the most painful death for the guy. Shooting him in the head is not enough by any stretch of imagination!
-
There are forum rules. If you feel like posting new thread, use search button first. Believe me, it's not first thread on this topic. It is just flooding forums with useless threads.
-
As others have said - the sandbox and permadeath. And I enjoy seeing the game growing and I generally like testing games at early stages. DayZ delivers an unmatched experience of immersion for me.
-
This, I think people on the forums are not aware of hackers. We need more such threads!

Congratulations Community, You have become scum.
Sinoby replied to bloodjackal77's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yeah, hackers are not new in arma, in fact they were here before DayZ. The problem here is the mod being very popular lately which attracts script kids all over the world. -
Why did I spend $30 for this?
Sinoby replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Kinda got me there. I was ready to write something cliche, but no Im lauging :)
