    What part you dont understand about difference of passwording and locking? Once again, server has autolock feature and everyone who wants WILL get into the server. They just need to wait max 15 minutes when server is automatically unlocked.

  7. Come on, are you accusing here DayZ Dev about admin abuse? As far as I know SE3 is owned by Dev. Every single server restart is not admin abuse, ok ?

    Get your facts right. FI1 server has NEVER been passworded. Server has autolock feature which will lock AND unlock server automatically. We are testing this autolock feature because there is so many disconnecting noobs. We dont like to ban them. So if you wait less than 15 minutes, you will always get in to the server. I just wonder when server admins will get tired of these trolls and stop hosting, what will you do then when you wont get into any server?

    Our servers restarts only every 6 hours. There is even admin message on every hour which will announce time of next restart. On FI1 there IS NOT any strange restarts as there is only few unplanned restarts. Last one was few days ago to lower down playercount 70 -> 55. As you clearly seem to know about these "starnge" restarts, can you please give me date and times for them. I bet you cant find any.

    Then I'm just waiting for blacklisting. Because I wont accept using exploits in games, not in my servers. It will give wrong signal to people about cheating and I will flag for fair play.
  12. We have been leasing servers where leaser has only access to difficulty settings and logfiles. Servers have been working great. If they have need some changes to motd etc, they have just opened an ticket. I see no point for more access than that. If they are asking for it, they are propably gonna use server for cheating imo.

    I just wanna support admins who are banning Disconnecting noobs. We are banning every single DC noob also. Read this: ITS AN EXPLOIT If you use exploits, you will get banned. As simply as that. I'd rather stop running the server than let exploiters to have party in there :)

    Server locked 12 hours a day

    Almost every single person in FI1 was using disconnect to avoid death. This is game breaking thing and counted as exploit. What we are testing is auto locking & unlocking feature which has decrested disconnects a lot as they could have 15min penalty by doing it. So basically admins are NOT locking server to prevent people to get in. Its done automatically by script and locking time is max 15minutes. So every single player will get in if they want. I understand that exploiters wont like this feature at all :)

    if you abort to lobby and log back into the game, your time is set backwards. its been like that forever, no id if they get it fixed.

Lets share info about cheaters, experience of server settings and help eachothers to provide best arma2 servers as possible. If you have not used irc, its an old realtime chat developed in Finland. You can choose your irc clients, and if you are using linux host, you can have irc session open 24/7 and re-join into that session when ever you like. You can also use windows or browser clients too. When you use 24/7 client, you can throw up question and if you are busy, you can check for answer days after (backlog). You are all welcome :) //Soppa
