    Euphoria is cool because of the death anims/procedural ragdoll thing in it, but it's a pain in the ass to have correct basic animations with. It also creates lots of funny bugs, and is very ressource consuming, and a pain in the ass to code the anims ingame (it took rockstar years to release GTAIV mostly because of the euphoria). An even bigger problem is that It looks very cartoony, just look at Nikos walking animations, it's terrible... However I'm sure we can expect better and smoother animation in SA, but it's a lot of work and clever art+coding, which means it takes time and ressources to have a good result.

    Hope they can find the issue and repack the stuff today. But if it's not then it's not. developing a game is no easy task, and shit happens all the time. Rocket should just put a huge PREALPHA sign in the middle of the screen, in case weird bugs appear during the vid :)

    Honestly, I don't think valve has anything to teach the guys at bohemia interactive in terms of programming. (EDIT : they have the guy behind the original OFP code in charge of DayZ) But in the end, you're kinda right everyone has its own and different expertise. Keep in mind L4D is just a basic shooter in very small corridors, which allow them to have nice zombies and gore because there's really not much happening behind the scenes. DayZ is just the opposite.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I've read somewhere the clouds IRL move in one direction because the wind doesnt change at those altitude.

    True, the window thing is not possible for now, it would require to make every window "openable" (is it even a word??). placing triggers at each window and making sure the height to access each one is the same. Or use some sort of contextual anims depending on the height of each window. Well anyway it would require a massive amount of work, but escaping a house full of zeds by jumping out a window would be such a thrill :)

    Id like to see zeds being able to break doors or even climb up windows to get to you.I'm not sure if it can be made it terms of performance given the large scale of the game, but I hope it is something rocket and the dev team are looking into.

    Well one can dream, but it won't happen in DayZ, so you'd better go play dead island if you want yet another RPG with such features. DayZ is all about using your imagination to find your own objectives in a free open world. The devs provides the rules and tools but eventually it belongs to the players to set their goals and play the way they want. Adding quests to this concept, no matter non invasive they are, would in no way make the game design better EDIT : The same can be said about levelling. No matter how you put it, I don't see it work. And it's been made in so many games, we now have the occasion to try new stuff and experiment things, why always come up with the same features that we've seen in a thousand other games before??

    I think it actually the new Balota camp. So it's not really a new military place, more like a remake of the old one. I feel like you concerning military weapons, even when it comes to food and loot in general, I'd like everything to be really scarce and not stumble across cans of food in every house... would be stupid.

    Immersion. It was really strange not to see any female infected in the game. It's just my opinion, maybe you never even thought of it, but it will make the experience better for me personnaly.

    What if we removed the crosshair?

    Remove crosshair, it doesn't fit AT ALL in the game design (if you're still going for an authentic/realistic experience that is)

    Don't worry he won't get rid of it, but expect to see changes to 3rd person in standalone to prevent players from having unfair advantages on others. My guess would be put the camera closer to the player a la RE 4, and disable it in certain conditions (for instance disable it when prone).
