    Mh ok last Off topic for me about 3rd person, just a quick question for 3rd person users here : Would you agree with the 3rd person camera being modified in such a way that it is closer to your character a la resident evil 4, and somehow "locked" a bit more to get rid of the "peeking around corners and above walls" advantage? I think this simple solution is a good compromise but I wonder what you guys are thinking EDIT : Resident evil 4 is just an example of those games where the camera is a bit off center and closer to your character to give you both immersion and sense of awareness in the environment. Dead space would be another good example.

    Once again, got the feeling something should be done about this 3rd person camera. It feels too "magical" and remote and a closer 3rd person would give a ton more immersion. More of "I'm a lone survivor and I play carefully because death could be around every corner" and less of "I'm in world of warcraft running around admiring my fine new outfit while easily spotting potential threats 10 kms away"

    There is a reason rocket stated several times in the video that it's an early pre alpha version of the game. You can expect everything to change in the coming months/years. And you should be excited about it. And first rule : you don't say bad things on BI. Ever. They are the greatest of all, and the UI is... I would say post modern. A nice mix between eurotruck simulator and windows 95. Not that bad at all !

    think I've got a pretty simple solution : Put the camera closer to the character a la resident evil 4, and lock it a lot more so that you don't have advantages over 1st person. Problem solved.

    Same here, Ive played both in 1st and 3rd person, and at the condition controls are made smoother and more natural, I wouldn't mind if 3rd person was totally disabled. I'll use 3rd person as long as I am able to, because of how you can spot enemies so far away with it, even if you could say it's cheating, in my case it's cool because I avoid most firefights and wouldn't use it to grief or kill other players. However it's totally frightening to know how easily a bandit can spot you and kill you without any chance to spot him.

    yep I like this :) It should be possible now that objects have attachments, they could have a "wet/dry value". It could also be applied for other objects like weapons, ammo, and even electrical items like NVGs, flashlights etc... Such items could have functioning issues if wet.

    I like this idea. Would be interesting if you could open a bit the door to have a quick look at what's going on outside, and some closets could have a small "window" to look through. (sorry for approximative english lol)

    EDIT : Location : Guba pass. at least not on the south coast because you don't want fresh spawn to access all the amazing loot in it. Loot : amazing! PVP : YES lots PVZ : YES zombified crew! Lots of different entrance points possible, so you can sneak in and out if you're lone wolfing.

    Really when I want to make sure I haven't miss anything about dev status, I check rocket's reddit overview, rocket's twitter, and rocket's overview on these forums. If there's nothing new from these 3 sources, then there's nothing new at all.

    It's all about roleplay here. It's not important but it gives you another degree of immersion in the game. Ideally I'd like to see hair and beard growing as you survive, and having to cut your hair/shave with tools looted in the world.

    I think a mohawk hairstyle would fit the game pretty well... not too crazy to my taste. As far as there's no emo/kawai haircuts available it's fine by me! Again I don't think different haircuts are possible for now, as the face models look like one "block" without possibility to change specific parts. I guess in the beginning just give us a lot of faces with lots of variation in hair/beards would be enough. And I mean, yeah it takes time and if at release there's only one face to choose from I wouldn't really mind. More content will be added on the long term.

    Yes three races and new faces will be made later on. I suspect the models/faces will be borrowed from ArmA 3 which worries me a little, I'd like to have characters that look less military, with different haircuts and facial hair.

    Now we're all looking forward to see the new zeds in action, the new inventory system, and well, most everything that havent been shown yet. (melee, new items/weapon models, nightime gameplay) I think there's enough stuff left to tease us for a couple more months, not sure if it's a good or a bad thing honestly :)

    No it's been requested on the suggestion forums, but rocket never mentioned itbeing an actual feature. I don't even think it would be possible in terms of performance, and would require so much extra texture the game data might become 40gb or something...

    Like... a white T-shirt and dark/black underwear? I mean just anything but that flashy blue... it hurts my eyes. I don't think clothing should have such colors, I mean it's a survival apocalypse, Id like a more dark tone like the road... Maybe its just details for most people, but I like to feel immersed in a world where I have the feeling every object belong there. EDIT : And where is the teddy bear backpack?!! this other game is so much superior when it comes to teddy bear backpacks

    the animations don't look really good for now, but commands look far more reactive on the other hand. Movements inside buildings look less clunky, so all in all it's a nice improvement. I hate the blue underwear, the models look too... futuristic I guess? I think it comes straight from arma 3, and I don't know it just doesn't fit the setting in my opinion. But the hoodie and tactical vest are cool! and rocket mentioned hundreds of clothing items :) just ... wow!

    The game is so much more beautiful when you turn off post processing IMO. This motion blur looks terrible and the game is unplayable in those conditions for me at least. But : everything else is fine. I especially like the new models of wrecks and the interiors (that bloody piano ! amazing!). There's still some work needed here and there but looks like I could already have fun playing this :)
