I'm Ron, 26 years old from London UK, Been playing DayZ for about a week now and i have fallen in love with it. I have only grouped up with one person before and i really did enjoy it. Not really looking for a Clan of such but maybe 1-2 people who take the game seriously and at the same time know how to have fun, should be around 20+ I'm online every day and a bit of a night owl so i am away from 3pm GMT ish till 10-11am GMT (I know my sleep patten is kinda messed up hehe) I don't really like the idea of shooting people on sight (depending what mood I'm in xD) i only engage if i get fired upon and i really like helping people. I know how you feel, i have tried looking for people to play with for a number of days now. I even have two topics looking for people but all the ones that have added me so far have not been what i have been looking for maybe people don't like to read? I have no idea so for now i think ill just give up.

Out of all the reply's i have only played with 2 people, one raged quit when he died, another one managed to get on skype yet quit because his mic screwed up and others just don't accept skype requests. A lot of people say its true but i have never had a pair drop. I might just be unlucky :P

This morning i encountered a bug that meant i needed to die so i was running to some place i would be able to get my gear back and then it just hit me like a bus (not falling from the sky xD), Why am i even wanting to get my items back? We have all at least once been a victim of a script kiddie and over the last 8 days i have had this Mod i have been killed 6 times by one and that got me thinking why don't i just run around Cherno like a madman with a AKM and not even care about surviving. Until the standalone comes out the game is just like unreal tournament just with bad graphics, I still love the game but i don't even care about dying or trying to stay alive for a week or two. Since nothing can be done about the hackers until the standalone comes out i don't think ill be playing much only if i get bored now and then. Its a real shame because i fell in love with this Mod but it kept me happy for 8 days and i feel like i have got my moneys worth from Arma 2, can't wait for the Standalone :D

So when i log in to any server for some reason i get knocked out and i have a hourglass counting down then i stand up like nothing had happened. Anyone know whats going on ?

Thank you for the very informative post A+ for you. It has nothing to do with "server hopping" because i logged out had a shower and a cup of tea came back 40 mins later logged in and i was knocked out again.
