    Freshly Spawned Kill Suggestion

This game is just as much about the human interaction (good or bad) as it is about the zombies. To remove one or the other makes the game not "DayZ" anymore but none of your other generic shooters on the market.. Instead of changing the game for your play-style or "Lack of skill" try changing your play-style for the game or "get better".
  2. Well, if there's going to be Steak and Potatoes, count me in.
  3. Ah yes, more loadout-giving and hand-holding. Less DayZ.
  4. Actually, despite OP's sillyness. I think challenging one another to duels to settle forum-disputes would be hilarious.
  5. It's not whether or not a game has hackers so much as it's about how they deal with them. At the very least, it will take significantly more effort to cheat in Standalone than it currently does in the mod. I'm sure the forums will be flooded with complaints about how we should start with a weapon, nvgs, a vehicle, a map, etcetera within the first week of Standalone's release
  6. Wait a minute... How does "remove high-powered rifles" regulate hacking and duping?
  7. On the note of the (wrongfully) imprisoned devs. Rocket does not own/run BI (whom the two in question work for), he does not decide who to hire and who to fire. The two men who were imprisoned were imprisoned basically because Arma 3 features Greece. It would have been bad form for their employers to part ways with them when it was ultimately their relationship with their employers that got them into their situation. Also, games in which dev-teams change mid-development tend to have the marks of two different minds approaching a topic. Furthermore, the game can be released next year and would still have a development time shorter than some triple-A titles.

    Permanent injuries

Greetings, organic meat-bags. I was watching the Mad Max trilogy a couple of days ago when something occurred to me: After getting his leg run over in the first movie, Max had a limp through all the movies from that point on (Though admittedly it didn't seem as pronounced in Thunderdome) This got me thinking: How is a little morphine and maybe a splint going to completely fix my leg? Instead of a lengthy leg healing process, after breaking their leg the player should walk with a limp. For the rest of their life. Initially (For the first fifteen minutes after repairing the break or so) it will be outright debilitating, plodding along and dragging your busted up leg behind you. Though after that timeframe is up your character will always have a slight hit to their movement speed (Maybe 6-5%), take a bit longer to get from prone to standing, and generally just have a bum-leg. Broken arms (If they're to be integrated) would be a bit harder. Initially it would just be shaky-as-hell aim with two-handed weapons. Then after some time a slight (But predictable) lean towards the previously injured side when aiming.

    Hero and bandit leveling.

IT's been a stated intention for a while. That said, the way that clothing works in SA. The "bandit/hero-skin" thing would be pointless.

    DayZ Standalone PVP realism suggestion

A "real" survivalist experience varies. For example, there are some who would be willing to kill only out of self-defense, and there are others who would kill pre-emptively because there's a chance that someone might prove to be a threat. Also, hunting other people makes perfect sense in an apocalyptic setting. They will almost invariably be carrying supplies and as stated above could potentially pose a threat to you and your own. Sure, plenty of people do it for the sake of "death-matching" but they're ultimately taking a risk in doing so (they can lose all of their equipment if the person they shoot at has back-up or is a better shot)

    Hero and bandit leveling.

It's funny, because that's pretty much what has been suggested for Standalone.

    Permanent injuries

Purely aesthetic or completely fixable injuries defeat the purpose of the idea. Yeah, people might suicide to avoid it. But they could/would do so with a broken leg currently, so that's not really changing much.
  13. Possibly make it so you can only fire your sidearm or SMG's out of car-windows. Just to give them further utility.
  14. You can hit plenty. It'll just take more bullets than most.

    [SA] Infected Melee Weapons

It would be interesting to see a military infected using it's AK-whosa-whatsit as a club

How do you fight players in CQC?

I bleed at them, violently. Hoping to pass some blood-born illnesses.

    Permanent injuries

I may be wrong, but scars might get a bit resource intensive given that they have to render the scars for every player.

    Permanent injuries

Unforgiving, anti-game, hard-as-fuck. These are the things DayZ should be made out of It should be everything in the game (zombies, other players, the environment) that pisses you off. Not just one of the three.

Give a reason to play on night servers?

There's already been talk about having NVG's have batteries. And since they'll apparently be damageable people are going to be less inclined to wear them into a gun-fight.

    Permanent injuries

Also, this is an idea for SA, where presumably leg-breaks would be less common.

    character development as incentive [long]

Any system like this is of course open to exploits. And ultimately boils down to "Bandage X amount of times to make your bandaging skill Y"

    SA should have Sanity!

Wat. Doing things in a group is already ridiculously easy. You have extra sets of eyes covering you, extra guns for when things go bad, and someone to transfuse blood into you when things go really bad. Also, there's no reason this will encourage people not to kill strangers on sight as most people who play this game have a group that they run with already. So they'll run with their group for a bit of extra sanity, then cap some random in the face the next day. Lone-wolf playing isn't in any way "easy" in comparison to running with a group. Without the rules set up by society, we see time and time again that people are a lot more "vicious" than we give each other credit for. Look at most good zombie movies: Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (original), -something else with Dead in the name- they all involve groups or individuals pitted against each other in the midst of the apocalypse. Why? Because some people get real nasty when they realize there aren't consequences for their actions. To sum up "IT AIN'T HOW IT WAS BEFORE, R- ZOE!"

    Morale

I'd think killing someone (especially if you intended to) would be a boost in morale. In turn, you could make their corpse a morale-dropping effigy to ward off other players (and evil spirits)
