You CAN choose a date with M/D/Y but it's HIGHLY suggested that you put it to a present date and or future date. Because it messes up the server if you put a date that is in the past. :P (BTW This is if your a server owner/head admin) -

Sometimes though killing it causes you to die next time you login in, and it can "log out" by itself sometimes. And I'm sure OP isn't a kid, he just obviously doesn't know of this because he doesn't dupe his own body for teh lootz and or doesn't look more thoroughly in the forums.

Mega Vest was never in DayZ before. It also never went away in this experimental update. There is no mega vest in stable.

But you have to remember they end up waiting to fix bugs until the next patch unless it's a super emergency. -
I said moved "completely" over to a new engine made from scratch...you should take your time when reading posts. Also, just because the game looks and acts somewhat the same doesn't mean it's not changed. Making a entire engine by scratch takes alot of time, so I am sure they are using alot of placeholders.
