I like guns. Real, toy, in a video game. Guns are fun. I like to shoot things with guns. Shooting at real people in real life is bad. In video game is not. I like hunting things. Most things are not challenging. Humans are challenging to hunt. They think. They think a lot. They think intelligently a lot. I like to hunt things that can kill me back. I cannot do this in real life or I will get in trouble. The only game that allows me to hunt people on Kilos worth of open space is Dayz since Arma usually has scripted missions and less people play. Also when I kill people in games, the more mental stress and anguish I cause them the harder my boner gets. This happens a lot in dayz. If it is a game that has guns and allows me to make others miserable, I love it. I love Dayz. =)

If you server hop on chern hill with a sniper you could EASILY get 200 kills a day.

Rocket, Not sure of to post here. Some others have probably already noticed too but... am I correct we are getting two new maps. PCGAMER: Verdant Environments – Explore the two new summer-season terrains: Bystrica and Bukovina Will we be able to Dayz it up on these as well XD. Imagine exploring two near areas just as big as Chenarus TWICE!

Well I assume the only things he would have to switch are the 2 DAYZ files we download. I assume those are the ones that associate map specific triggers and locations. The other files are based around game mechanics and should be copy past to new map. I don't see how it wouldn't hurt to throw it on a couple new maps for fun. How is the alpha expensive? You could buy the new expansion AND the CO for 45, less than most new games at 60 these days. Who said newcomers had to play it anyways XD.

Last night i ran out of debug forest as i was stuck there then got to a town and managed to be attacked by the ENTIRE town by only agroing one hopper and they kept respawning and coming and coming, i spend almost 2 249 box mags killing them all... then relogged cuz they kept coming... came back in, agroed a walker from 100m and redid the whole process... im over 200 zeds from like 20

I had couple good ones just last night. Was me and a friend both were going by CHERN when we saw a tent in the open field to the north. This immediately did not look right as we saw dead zed bodies by the apartments. We scan the apartments and sure enough we see a sniper on top. What we didn't know was the hell about to wake when we shot that sniper. We move a little to the NW tree line, both of us line up our DMRs and utterly smash that guy. Not 5 seconds later bullets start whizzing past out head. We tactically retreat back into the trees and head east a little. We look out across the town and spot 3 guys, one on the grain silos, and two on the apartments. What ensued was a 20 minute sniper firefight. I switch to my Mk48 and start laying down some cover on the guys at the apartments while my friend keeps the guy on the grain silo pinned behind what looks like an air conditioning unit. One the guy on top is pinned, my friend turns and snipes one of the guys on the apartment while I keep the 2nd guy on the apartment down. The guy on the grain silo must have noticed because he starts sending rounds at my friend. I switch back to my DMR and repin him. This happens as I start taking shots from the apartment a little closer. It seems there was a 5th person at the apartments who is now peppering my location with direct automatic fire. I quick roll behind a rock call out the guy and my friend peaks behind a tree and ends him. I now look up at the silo and see the guy trying to move to a new spot on the silo. We repin him. We then turn back to the guy on the apartments and nail him too. We then get into a 5 minute peak-a-boo sniper fight with the guy on the grain silo hitting him once. Realizing that he was a little girl and no one could transfuse him up there he DCs. =) The other one, I'll do quick, but we pinned a couple guys under a bridge east of chern with my 240 then start taking sniper fire from that huge mountain near elektro. Crazy flanking from 3 teams happen and we kill everyone except a guy called Oogie who DCs. We tell his friends to tell oogie to come back on and die like a man or wed post video and screens of him cheating. He does, and we show him justice.

Personally I love killing players up North more. Destroying days of work of someone rocks. Like the guy who was probably making a stary run for some SD mags and i DMR HIM take his AS50 and his M4SD rangefinder NVG and he loses his ghilli LULZ

There was like 4 server resets in a row the other day on a server I was on and each time we spawned back near our saved vehicle. Each time we drove around the fields near Stary and NW and looted every helo we saw. We now have quite a bit of gear and are willing to trade some "extras". UP FOR TRADE: 2x M249 (4 boxes) 1x DMR (you find your own ammo) 1x FN FAL ANPVS4 (2 mags) 1x NVG 1x M14 AIM (you find your own ammo) 1x AS50 (5 mags) (we will trade this away only for an L85) 2x Silenced Bizon (3 mags, 64 rounds per mag) LOOKING FOR M4 SD's Rangefinder L85 AS50 MK48 Please private message me if you wish to trade. We will discuss through private message when and where to trade. We will both be on skype during the trade. Trade will work like this. First you must have a vehicle for this method, we will not trade any other way. We will both drive to an undisclosed location where we can both see each others vehicles. Everyone who will accompany you AND I will be provided the names of through skype. We will be playing on a name tag server. Anyone spotted not of the correct names WILL BE SHOT ON SIGHT. It will also be agreed upon that even though against the "rules" each party is OK with logging out immediately when fired upon. We will fill each vehicle with the gear we are willing to trade and ONLY that gear. At this point an unarmed man from each side will cross the field and at the same time enter the other teams vehicles. At this point the 2 teams will back off 150 m. Once that has been done and ONLY at this point will the drivers on both sides will drive past each other to the proper parties and gear for the trade will be collected. At this point if you want your vehicle back or we do, the vehicles will be driven back by the same unarmed persons and we will log immediately. Good Dealings. EDIT: Someone brought to my attention a flaw.... that finding a server where we have one of our stashed vehicles PLUS the other party having one is pretty hard..... SO we will use backpacks instead. Alice, Czech, Cyote, your CHOICE. The trade will now be done with backpack. The "mules" MUST be unarmed with their only weapons being in the backpacks.

IMFlaiR - I can ask my guys, though most of them have chosen not to wear camos since the spawn in ocean bugged popped up. XD LtChicken - that was the plan. if this works out then sweet! if not, well it's welcome to dayz. We lose more gear to game bugs.... nothing lasts, might as well try fun stuff =) Blasty - Won't life, the AS50 is awesome, but the 20 rounds for DMR as well as the abundance of ammo makes up for the lack of zeroing advantage the AS50 provides. Plus if you play night, NVG's used in conjunction with DMR might get you a kill on an AS50 guy (our guy trading his AS50 got it off DMRing a guy in ghilli with it at night)

We can trade our NVG's for the AS50. We don't really play night often.

Sometimes they do. What I found is that when the server resets the helos only have a few spots to spawn. They may interchange between the spots but they will always usually be in a select certain spots. Between my friends and I we have 1500ish hours on dayz and have spent some time mapping out every possible helo spawn. Also what we found is on the same server after a server reset the helo will usually spawn in the same places for that server... though yesterday we did find that they moved, THOUGH the spots for one server usually are always true for that server. Once we do a little more data collecting I will probably write a post on how to find helos and which servers have them ect... Bizon is an AMAZING zed killer gun 6 64 round mags=your set =) We'd trade an M4 CCO or any normal mil spawn for it.

All I have to say is this. NEVER punish a player. Rather, reward some and provide lack of reward for others. What I mean by this is for example if Rocket were to implement any of the suggestions based around towns or anything that required 5-10 players or more to do that rewarded all the players involved, you would have more team work without it being coded in. Lone players could try but it would be harder. Punishment makes people hate things. Lack of reward doesn't really have much effect. Think of it as raising children. Do you spank your child each time he curses or do you order pizza when he gets an A on his test?

heh.... are AT4's and Satchel Charges even on the loot list?

First off everytime i have got NVG's .11 spawn, off a player not found. As for scoped weapons, did you check the barracks in NW? and did you loot cycle or just walk through and get leftovers? Also did you even try stary? BTW i am not sure why i complain, AKM or CZ is all you need, anything past that is just convenience and prettys and may give you a 5-10% advantage in a fight.

I am fine with it for one reason that is simple. It simulates hiding stuff in an open desert in real life. Imagine stashing shit in the Sahara where you CAN walk for days without finding anything. The risk of dehydration and hunger are the same in this as in that. There wouldn't be zeds there in RL and not here either. Is it unfair?.... well in real life hiding your trucks out in a desert is that UNFAIR? Unfair imo is doing things that break the game and are not part of the system. Duping items outa thin air, hacking in shit outa thin air, or whatever else hackers do. Simply walking in one direction for a long time in a barren wasteland is not hacking in my opinion. Yes it is basically only used for as a bank or a hidy place to log out, but in real life don't criminal and terrorist organizations hide shit in the middle of nowhere? is that hacking? nope.

killing a guy and lotting uber gear off him then logging off server after loot to wait for my friends to arive (don't think its exploit as i finishd the engagement before logging off) then when friends were close logged on to go to top of firehouse in NW to guide allies in. (there is a lip on top so in 3rd person NO ONE can shoot you but you can see all.) On the way up the ladder i get sniped..... seems that guy had an ally who stayed quite until he could find me. Lost Ghilli, DMR, M4 SD, NVG, CYOTE 24 sloter..... I now check everywhere, after each kill. And before going in open, AND everytime someone logs on just incase its near me.

then you server hop 10 times at 5 minutes per hop that 20% chance in 50 minutes. Some people do this for hours each night and with multiple clan people. Also there is tent farming which doesn't even require server hopping and is totally legal. You just have a group of 4 or 5 and you place alot of tents hidden by a good loot spot. LOOT EVERYTHING regardless of whether you want it and throw it in tents (ignore overflow) then you run out like 100m wait for a while run back in and everything is respawned, repeat process.
