Who is to say this isn't a Westernised area of Russia or area close to Russia? e.g. Hong Kong is very westernised. This is a fictional game after all

(on Aus servers) people are a lot friendlier when the zombies are a significant threat

I remember these days. I spent about 1 hour prone crawling into stary sobor at night in pitch black while my friend guided me from a distance with his night vision goggles (:

1. Persistent Objects / Tents 2. More zombies 3. A chopper 4. Cars / Boats 5. Bigger Map? OR Hero skin (achieved by killing 200x more zombies than people, minimum 200 zombies).

There needs to be 1 huey on the map somewhere, it completes the game

end game is when I finally fully fix a chopper and start flying it around 24/7

Hoards of fast, hardy zombies is the obvious option here

I'd say yes it ruins the fun of the game but no, nothing can be done about it. You have to play carefully and not run around in the open if you don't want to get shot

Day Z isn't supposed to be fair in this way - it's a hardcore game where if you fall asleep in the woods and somebody is stalking you then you're going to die.

Playing hero is fun because you can build up a gang and kill the scum. It's easy to gain trust by helping people out - add them on steam or TS etc. You just have to be careful you don't get ambushed. Extra fun when a couple of your squad mates go rogue or gang vs. gang politics/fights start coming into play. e.g. I built up this squad by being a hero

you're parking your car irl and want to go 3rd person (happened to me after playing the mod too much)

The SA can be fun if you meet some other people and go exploring but if you're all about PVP then this isn't the game for you. May as well just go play counter strike or Arma 3 until they add more features because there's no mid-game or end game at this stage.

I'm not complaining. Just curious to know when do you think they'll implement these things? I'm looking forward to more players per server (perhaps 60-70?) and more zombies / faster respawn of zombies. This will allow for gangs of people to form and more heroes/medics/bandits. I guess they are not testing vehicles or tents yet due to resets but I think the game will become a lot more exciting like the early days of the mod when they add this. Finally I would love to see a super rare huey in the game (1 per server) because the helicopter is obviously the end game and something to go hunting for days for :P

Maybe it is too much but I was thinking it could work with a tonne more zombies and lots of people spread out up North. I guess the tendancy is for people to clusterf*ck around cherno and elektro.

I got in a car chase last night (with 3 other guys in the car) and it would have been even more epic if we had the ability to shoot guns and throw grenades out of the car window GTA style.

this is true, however after about 200 hours of play the novelty of the original game wears off

yeah I have been under topolka dam and while I havent been a swamp monster myself I have come across 1 guy that was doing that. And he killed 1 of our guys too Also, of course there is a kill count - open up the debug under game options and you can see your frickin murders, bandit kills, humanity etc.

trust me mate, I have done it all. I haven't even included all the funny things that have happened. Try to think of something you can do in Day z and I have done it

If you are looking for a post with hugs and love hearts this is not it. I have had enough of this game. I quit. This game is simply not fun anymore. The reasons why I am leaving this game are: 1. Hackers 2. AS50s 3. Admin Abuse 4. Have spawned in Kamenka 100 times 5. None of my friends play anymore 6. Not including the hackers, about 50% of the playerbase are complete douche bags. (this was pointed out by OP). 7. I have done everything that can be described as 'fun' in this game (yes, I have been flying the chopper and shooting people with it, I helped make massive bases with 15 other guys, I have worked with squads, I have used 95% of the guns in the game, I have been in boats, cars, trucks, motorbikes, bicycles and ATVs, I have survived for 13 days straight, I have played as a hero and as a bandit, I have discovered all the secret bases including the ones that are off the top right corner of the map, I have got into squad vs. squad firefights and come out victorious, I have set up bases in random barns on the coast and helped out whoever came by, I have played at night with a squad without nightvision and survived for days, I have sniped people at 900m away, I have found the secret bases under the lake at Tapolka Dam, I have played on private hives, I have gotten 699 zombie kills, I have done EVERYTHING) I have had enough of this game.

I'm with OP on this. I've come across AS50 TWS and don't take them. That gun is for the original game or the armoury. Anybody who takes pride in using a hacked weapon is a fucking moron.
