Dude. Mad respect for lasting 100+ days, but DayZ is a video game. Video Games are made to be fun, after a long day of work or whatever you do you sit back with your friends and play to relax, sit back, and have some fun. No player interaction? You're essentially taking all the spontaneous fun, nervousness, anxiety, and basically everything else that makes me want to come back.

I like when I see the post on every one of these threads, you're almost as bad as him.

That's like poetry man... but I know exactly what you mean it's like taking all there memories and experience and putting your own twist on the gears future.

I wouldn't dare play at night alone >.< I get so anxious playing during the day with a friend.

I am seriously watching S01E16 of "How I met your mother":

So for my group of friends I was gonna have a Website made where it was just the DayZ map sort of like (http://dayzdb.com/map) but like the "Satellite" view from Google Maps. And I'd be able to make markers and lines drawing to where my friends should post up in real time. It'd look sort of like this (http://imgur.com/a/ImMEL#1) except it'd be all of Chernarus, and essentially you could make one of those super large images from the birdseye views of Chernarus like 90000x90000 (Not literally but you get the gist.) and using the Google Maps website software it'd allow you to zoom in multiple times and move around. Anyone know if one of these "Satellite" Maps of DayZ already exist or how you would go about making one.

How do you use that?

Yea, a lot of work. I'd have to divide the map into X amount of parts then go into Arma 2 Map Editor and align the shots then edit them and so forth. I'll look into this more, if anyone is interested in helping or has any ideas let me know.

I've personally never used the Arma 2 Map editor I understand how you control it though, anyways I don't know how people make the huge pictures you can zoom in on. I mean like can you take an image that big with a standard computer rig or?

Like DayZ map quest? xD A lot of things would be possible you just need one person to make the birdseye view map part. They'd have to like have a new map or turn off loot/car/misc/tents/etc. So only the map is shown and nothing differs.

http://gyazo.com/c80....png?1346278586 So my friend and I hopped on DayZ since we died last night and haven't played in awhile, we were both in Electro and we saw someone in the Store. I was approaching from the back with no weapon when my friend was killed from the side. I wound up re-joining a little later and finding my way to the Fire Station, I met three guys I believed two were named "Dylan" and "Remix". I told them I wouldn't kill them as I had no weapon and they wouldn't kill me. I wound up picking up an MSR from one of the dead bodies on the ground when we began getting sniped from the side and I tried to kill the guys for equipment. Obviously out matched and several shots to the head none of them died but myself. I ran back a little later to get the sniper and some guy was hiding there bodies and we agreed on friendly, he proceeded to shoot me in the face. I then joined a new server and ran to the Fire Station to rejoin the old server to try to see what this guy was up too, I cleared the place and there was no activity but shots in the distance, I did find a hacked medical supply box on the ground and got those things out of there. I don't like the feeling of hacked items but I think the best guns I've had so far are Lee Enfield, Shotguns, and maybe one of the Mini-Uzi looking guns. (Hacked Medical Box had like 5 of every weapon, 100 of every ammo, 5 of all food and drinks, 5 of all tools, etc.)

I'll buy DayZ of course. But *Buys Arma 2 Combined Operations* *Day later Standalone confirmed* Are you kidding me xD

Same, I literally tried a good several hundred servers for on/off my current versions. I always get stuck on Loading and Waiting for Host, I noticed older game versions work better for connecting.

I would like to inform everyone this is the story of how one small boy with a Lee Enfield embarked on a journey to conquer all of Chernarus! And fighting through what is friends refer to as (Terminal Cancer) it's refereed to as this as you lose 3 blood per second and you constantly cough and wheeze. Heat packs will help you none, and none of us have actually ever found Anti-Biotics. I embarked on a journey to meet a fellow comrade, we spoke of traveling far distances. But as I was passing Komarovo I passed an old abandoned Light House with a small childs bike in the front. I decided to take this little fellow to where ever my heart desires. My comrades DayZ kept freezing with loading issues so he decided to quit since he's going on Vacation tomorrow, I decided to take on the world and make my treacherous way to the North West Airfield. I immediately headed West to the border of no mans land and came across a hidden car in the trees, fully operable and all! I decided I did not need a vehicle where I was heading though. I decided to try and make the day of any fresh spawns by leaving the car at the coast. (Was gonna drive it in water but was afraid of dieing) I headed North to find this told of Mysterious North West Airfield where many men embark but few come out alive! I was riding up a hill while in the distance I see something, something I've only heard of in camp fire stories. I tried to get a picture but my textures started to glitch out! After several minutes I reached a closer and safe distance from this so called "Green Mountain". After much more exploring I reached a point of no return where the terrain begins to fade into something menacing, after a long ride I reached what I'd like to call Mt. Zombimanjaro. I decided to check my map at this point as I knew no man would even think of traveling any further, Ironically I had to head South East to reach the North West Airfield. After riding down Mt. Zombimanjaro and breaking the land speed record of 119SPD in DayZ I noticed an odd occurrence. Another player named Diesel? This can't be! I've never even found anyone when searching through friends with the name Diesel on DayZ Commander! After many more hills and forest I finally reached my destination of the North West Airfield!

Well I have an idea or two, and I'd like to know if you guys would want a story in the game DayZ so it's based around the Zombie Apocalypse and such. Or around a player who's playing the game DayZ so I can talk about outer world events (this would be better if you wanted a creepy story)

Well after typing this I was actually of writing sort of a "Fan Art" story, do you think anyone would be interested in reading it?

Nothing really I just hid my bike and logged off to type this up, I wanted to try to add a story instead of just going like "Hey guys I found a car N' stuffz!"

The ship itself is of course not supposed to be creepy, but I really wish DayZ as it can have that creepy feeling would add a creepy side story. Like involving Green Mountain, the Ship, the radios (fake or not) it's just all these games are made but a lot of people such as myself love reading into them.

(Happened like a week ago) So this one of the first few days of owned/played DayZ, After dozens of deaths from zombies and learning the basics, I decided to go loot at Electro. I got my hatchet, raided for several minutes and run into a guy. Instead of hitting him in the head with a hatchet I figured out how to use Direct Communication and we couldn't really understand each other. He spoke French but we understood I'd protect him and we'd go loot. After a building or two of looting we run across this big open field and he leads me into this building where he has a friend with a gun who shot me as soon as I came in the door.
