So I was in Cherno looting and was sniped, I decided to change to a less populated server and when I joined I had all my gear. I was so excited, but a little while later I changed servers again and spawned like 50 from the beach in the water. I changed servers again thinking there was a glitch with that server and had to choose my gender. What the hell happened?

So I've seen the idea of microphones using a proximity sort of feature, where if you yell then people farther will hear you. And if you're quiet then people close will hear you. Now how will this be work? I don't know an exact way to explain it but lets think of it like this we have are Microphones measured between 0-100 units. So when the sound level increases to lets say 60, people 60 meters can hear me, and so forth. Now I'm sure this isn't accurate but just a basic representation of how the audio being projected would work. I'm sure you could then add smoothing so it was just a hard change. So when you talk at 59 Units it'll be heard quieter then 60 Units but could still be heard, this would also allow us to find peoples direction based on where they're located.

That helps with bodies not disappearing when killed, but doesn't help when I shoot someone and then they ALT+F4/Abort.

I played DayZ years ago when I was younger back when it was good, but I think that idea is better anyways also.

Yea I understand what you mean, but I think at least stopping ALT+F4 will give us more time.

Oh yea, I guess that is plausible. But instead of ALT+F4 being non-operable, force killing the process DayZ.exe. But if the process becomes non-responding then it could be closed through that.

When I play with my group of friends, and any of us are not sure if another player is us or not we call "Sync" and then the players use Q and E to either roll or wiggle back and forth and when they do that they also call out "Sync". So we know who is who and don't shoot them in ass. Also for customization, the William W. Face Model has Blue/White paint. I think we should be able to change this, might not be much but a color of someones face is some sort of change to determine groups. -
I know what you mean, but for me it's anxiety. It runs in my family so I'm actually getting meds prescribed for it.

The NPC isn't ran off the Users PC, it's ran off the Server. I don't know how the logs are displayed exactly but here's an example: 3:16:05; Player1 shot Player2 3:16:09; Player2 has disconnected 3:16:14; Player2 load x12 y06 z15 Basically since all the players information is saved in the Hive including the position, if a player disconnects in X amount of damage being caused it can load the player model in the same position with the same gear.

The first method would still counteract Ending the Process.

Fog/Smoke is the same clip, every time the shot changes change the fog/smoke to a different file or different part.

Players used to spawn with Makarov, I think you should have a hatchet or crowbar. So you don't have a gun at least, but it's fine as it.

I am a huge dog fan, I have two pet chihuahuas upstairs sleeping. I just love dogs so much that I don't want them implemented, same reason I didn't get pet wolves in Minecraft I'd just get to attached. I wouldn't want my or anyone elses dog getting killed. -

So I'm trying to connect to a server, but it's greyed out. I assume it's due to me having the wrong Arma 2 version. I went through like the most recent 15 Arma Versions and none of them work? What could be causing this issue? 1.62.95312 -CLOSED- -
So the majority of people assume the Zombies will be fixed so they can run in buildings and not be forced to walk. I too assume this will happen but there's a big issue with it. When Zombies currently sprint they're like a black basketball player on steroids, they can run several hundred meters in seconds. Zombies are currently way to fast and I think that effects it's path finding. Now if you're gonna say "Zombies sprinting in buildings already suggested use search fag", I clearly know this but Zombies should run about the same speed as the player. So players can still run around objects and buildings to get further ahead then the zombies. Saying this, I believe Zombies should also be able to hit the player 1/3 while they're right next to the player during sprint. This will make them not have to stop then hit then run super fast again, but they won't hit you like 70 times right next to you and instant kill you. Also second or so delay in between the 1/3 hits. (Also I don't care if you qualify them as Zombies or "Infected", I'm not getting into a debate deal with me saying Zombie.)

You can prone in shallowish water, mostly on the incline before the middle part of the lake floor flattens out. You can prone and roll with Q and E to get into position also.
