Just a quick one dude. This game is very CPU & GPU intensive. Within the game video option (stay out of advanced for now) I'd start at the bottom default settings & work your way up. Make small incremental changes in advanced if you feel up to it. My suspicion is you wont be able to run this badboy of game past medium with no or very little AA with your current rig. Even at default medium settings with a decent screen res it should run & look ok. I hope this has helped.

Spot on Abi, have my beans. @ OOdles This indiscriminate, senseless killing has been going on for, well, since the beginning really. The figures show no sign of slowing down & of course we all know of the stand alone coming very soon. Doesn't sound like death to me dude.I've hill sniped before. I wanted hone my skills, that meant range, elevation, angle, speed of quarry etc. the only way i could do that is to sit on a hill & practice & I wouldn't say it's not a challenge or rewarding. I'm deadly accurate with A DMR & as for a AS50... forget about it. I won't kid ya though, I had a blast doing it :)

I think the first idea is cool dude, I think these kind of ideas could evolve the game, to the kind of game (IMO) Stalker should've been (Still great game though) Your second idea could work for CQB's but long range engagement, maybe not :) & that's what the guy that started this post in banging on about.

Tips are always good dude. Crashed choppers are my main source of weapons, I agree with Fraggle, A smoke is always good, unless you have some excess AK ammo :) The last thing I want to do is run the gauntlet in the big towns/cities.

PS. Oh, I don't sit in cherno shooting noobs. I'm a roamer. I've learnt the hard way, that most people can't be trusted. Most will shoot you on sight or shoot you when your back is turned. So I stay away from other players. But again if I have an oppertunity, I have the upper hand, i'll take it, I wont hesitate for a second & won't lose any sleep. I guess my experiences have made me play the way I do. It's a rare thing to find in a game these days.

You're missing the point dude, it's not supposed to be fair, it's up to you to get the upper hand in any way you can. You want to go to the big cities where some juicy loot is? Ok then, get shot or get lucky. Or you could learn. Go to a server a 'regular' server with only a few in. This gives you a better chance of getting gear & general experience. Don't go to the big cities, head directly inland, north. You shouldn't have a problem finding a bit of food to keep you going. Your main goal should to be able to live off the land. This means you won't need to rely on cities or towns so much. A can of beans will give you 200 units of blood, a cooked steak will give 800! If you want to get tooled then start looking for crashed choppers these always spawn the very best weapons in the game or med supplies. If some guy has a laugh shooting noobs, then so be it, i've been on both sides. This game takes patience, sounds like you need a little more, but hey, you play how you want. If you want to do the same thing you've been doing... I'll be waiting for you & I wont hesitate :)

Rape animation & squealing?

Aything that makes this game even more realistic, grittier, has my vote.

How many times have I been tracking someone & lost em? Many. Some may say I'm a shit tracker, I guess they'll be right, I have plenty to learn but... What if there was a tracking dart gun, you can tag you quarry with, or a vehicle? What say you? Apologies if this subject has been touched on already.

But why does being good have to be rewarded? The thing I like about this game is, that it treats you like a grown up. Dude?! That's a silly, silly comment. 'roleplaying' is playing any role you damn well choose. If I want to play the role of a lunitic with a gun that loves to shoot at random any player I wish, I will & I do. Of course i'm not going to warn these people I'm going to kill, before I pull the trigger?! That's just stupid, I want to kill them?! Unless they're unarmed, I could then give them a sporting chance :)RPG's, most are not truely 'roleplaying' as they only have set, limited options. This is more of a true 'roleplaying' game as you have the freedom to be anything you want. You can't be a mage though dude, You may need to stick with WOW matey, off you pop :)

No I agree I really do, but doing it the 'old fashioned' is an art in it's own right, but you're tracking pysical things left from your quarry, in DayZ you don't get any. I'm not saying make these dart guns as common as hatchets, i'm saying make them extremely rare. If you had a toolbox you could strip someone of a tracking dart for example?Still not sellin it?

I have the AS50 TWS & It's damn good. I'm no hacker, I found it in a tent & as to previous comment saying the scopes not that acurate, I've fired 3 shots in anger with 3 kills to it's name. Oh by the way it's name is Sarah Jane :) 'Hacked in?', ignorance IS bliss.

I can confirm the AS50 TWS is in my hands. I came across a tent with the AS50 TWS & the 'Soldiers Uniform'. On one hand I'm feelin shite for having killed people with it but on the other, it's freakin funny! I've had it since 1.7.2.4 & very reluctant to get rid of it. It'll be happy to meet some of you people real soon ;)
