My second ever outing on DayZ & it was a Lee Enfield. Just picked up in the Cherno supermarket & then can you guess what happened next? Yep, head shot BOSH!! Fail.

If anything, this makes me want to find you & shoot you myself. Can you empathize?

I agree these putrid swine have been THE thorn in my side on DayZ however, as the standalone is a purchased game you'd like to think a lot of attention's given to ridding us of these twats. I was sitting in a bush collecting myself. I was in a heavily populated server just about to bandit hunt in Cherno. I just started moving when I heard in a whimpering little American voice. 'Friendly?' I swing around in a flash when another shreek came 'FRIENDLY'? This guy had just spawned by the look of it & decided to amble up to a guy in a gille suit & an AS50 in his mit!? I couldn't resist. 'Not really' I replied in my best English bad guy voice. 'As you're new here i'm going to give you 20 seconds'. The kid started to object 'Why would you do that, i'm unarmed, I don't have any loot'. He started talking about his five children & his sick wife LOL! For that I gave him 30 seconds :) I started counting. He ran zigg-zagging everywhere, calling me every name under the sun as he went. It was funny as hell. I never had any intention what so ever in shooting him, wasting my valued 50cal's on this little piss ant!? But I learned him, I learned him good.

Firstly your English is way better than most English, I know, I'm English & mine's terrible. My punctuation is terrible & grammatically i'm a moron :)Secondly, you're not alone. I've exactly that issue. Now, i've been bad, very bad (NOT hacking mind) I assumed I was being punished by a higher authority :) I can only guess that it's just a wee bug, my experience is that it it doesn't matter what skin you are, you'll get shot at no matter what. As soon as I spawn I RUN!! RUN TO THE HILLS.

Yeh, highly lightly it's been picked clean already. Crash sites are my targets, i'll travel miles & miles looking for them. Many others will do the same.

The 'New' world will be dreadful place to live. Zombies are a problem yes, but people, people are the main danger. The people that have survived have probably seen some truly dreadful things. Lost family, seen them torn to shreds, seen them come back hungry for a piece of their flesh, pick your zombie flick. That's got to blur reality a tad. I say never underestimate the impact of seeing loved ones ripped to pieces on a mans sanity. Also never underestimate the primeval instinct to survive. I know the answer to this question but 'Would you die for your wife/child etc'? 99% of people's immediate answer to that would be 'Fuck, yes'! But, but when it came down to it, that built in, that pre programmed instinct to survive, would that put you into some kind of autopilot? If it did then you'd have a serious internal conflict if you did turn & flee, a conflict I'm sure not many couldn't handle & therefor go totally mental. But so far I've been thinking from a loner's perspective. Those will be the ones to stay the fuck away from. As humans, we're very social creatures. Humans have got this knack of pulling together when the chips are down. As I'm English, WWII immediately springs to mind, we were bombed to fuck! But because all those poor people in the tube stations were in the same boat, strength was drawn from that, there was no longer class divide. So pick you post apocolyptic film time. People will naturally gravitate to other people, mostly. But the luck, is in the lap of the gods who you come across first. The firm but fair leader of man, every man has his purpose type or, the fucked up, I'm going to throw into a pit of zombified children & if you survive use you as a fuckpuppet type. My point to this ramble is. Up until the tipping point our 'civilized' society has taught us all it's idea of morality the moment you were born. But as soon as that order has been lost, when society takes the plunge & crumbles, the luxury of principles, morals? No, you gota do what you gota do. No time to hesitate. You got the shot? It's a big'ol question this & will take serious thought to answer it. For now I can tell you that I would of died a long time ago (mainly because i hate beans) I'm in fact one of the horde trying to eat your face :) Love the question & have my beans, i'll swop you for some pasta :)

They're cutting him a fat cheque, hence the stand alone.It's far easier to complain than to praise. You're right alot of games are NOT ready. The developers have been paid to bring a product to market, said production entity has given a deadline to market, screaming at them for updates & commanding impossible deadlines. What do you do, release on time & not ready? or if you know you've got something special, tell them 'No' it's not ready & hope there's someone at the other end with vision? It's awful situation to be in. I too played Stalker & Oblivion on first release but I got differnet memories to yours & those are huge positves rather than negitives. Acutally Stalker was pretty awful on release date :) As to your last comment. I love the mod very, very much. I have a huge respect to what has been done here & appreciate all the time, effort, blood, sweat & tears that has gone into this mod. I don't focus on the negitives with DayZ becasue for me, the experience on the whole out weighs them entirely.

For an adult you sure do moan like a kiddie ;) I've got a job, wife,kid, i find time to hug & kiss them all & still have time to play this mod.I use Six Launcher to run DayZ & have no trouble finding servers & as for updating it does it automatically as soon as the update is ok'd. Even ones that have largish pings seem to be ok'ish. I'm certainly not saying that it's not without issues, god knows, i've borne the brunt & seen many of them. But many should remember that this game, no, MOD was developed by ONE, yes ONE (maybe helped from a few others) off his/their own backs for NO PROFIT. They had the vision & saw it through to a playable state. From there it's turned into a monster so they're supporting the current free arma 2 mod & working on a stand alone. I think it's tight to say they have a problem with motivation wouldn't you? I don't claim to know much about developing but you mate, seem to know nothing. So relax, give them & yourself a break & wait for the stand alone.

Well I bought ARMA II..... Wait for it.....Yep, for ARMA II, because it's freakin awesome, the fact that DayZ popped up a while back was like an early Christmas present. Ask mummy & daddy for some extra pocket money :)
