Hmmm... I must not have zipped to the right folder, F12 is only giving me the backup options. Can anyone help? I've unzipped to the location in my above quote

Hey Quick questions. I own Arma 2 CO and don't seem to have a separate OA folder, so I've just unzipped the ARMA II.rar into C/Program Files (x86)/Bohemia Interactive/Arma 2/ Do you think that'll suffice? Under DayZ Commander's settings, it lists my ARMA2 and OA directories as being the same location (as stated above). Thanks

Hi, I searched around the forum but couldn't really find an answer for this. I've managed to find quite a few helicopter crash sites, but on the whole the loot has been disappointing. I've grabbed a FAL or Bison a couple of times, but I guess they've already been looted because there are never any NVGs, AS50s or guille suits etc. I've only ever found those things in tents or on bodies. Anyways, my question is - once a crash site spawns does it only spawn the loot once. SO, if someone takes the AS50 (if there is one) then they're won't be any more there? And follow up question - when do the crash sites tend to respawn, is it after server restarts or is it time dependant? Thanks for any help you guys can give

Hey - wonder if you guys can help me. I normally play with a friend and we communicate via Steam voice chat. I use the ALT key for push to talk. Both our mics work great for this. However when I try and talk in-game with CAPS key, my mic doesn't seem to work. I've tried the DC comms channel (and all the others). The little microphone icon appears when I push CAPS as does my name - although I've not noticed my name appearing when using Direct comms - just the other two. My friend is able to use CAPS to speak in game and I can hear him - so it can't be the Steam chat causing the problem. I've checked my audio settings in ARMA2 and have the microphone volume set to max. Anyone have any suggestions?

DayZ commander is saying that UK206 is "Unofficial - This server is not connected to the hive, or it is missing the required anti-cheat protection". What does that mean?

Yes - although if you can make it so that: they can stop zombies it's not such a pain in the ass to remove with a toolbox (it can be a right chore to find the sweet spot to remove it) then by all means keep them in. -
Hey - I'm often on server UK210 and will help you if I see you. I try not to shoot on sight. Try the DayZ wiki for gathering tips on survival - it's pretty great. Basically, stay away from the two big cities (Cherno & Elecktro) until you know what you're doing. You're likely to run into bandits. If you're struggling with zombies, the trick is to crawl on the ground when you're near them. Until you have a gun, try to avoid going into towns. There are often barns on the outskirts of towns that can have food, drink and shotguns / Lee Enfields.

Yep - this is correct. On some servers you can see yourself on a map as a blue dot. That means if your character sees someone else, they'll also be blue on the map. Yellow is definitely zeds. -

Do we know if it's fixed the crazy pistol & shotgun nerfing from the latest Arma2 patch? Is Rocket intending to revert back or is it here to stay?

I've had the same 3-4 shots from the M1911 and two from the Remington. Also - I fired a load of shotgun rounds pointblank into a sniper and he still didn't die (he had time to Alt+F4 out whilst unconscious). I'm assuming therefore that the damage from certain weapons has decreased, rather than an increase in Zed health. Apparently the Winchester is still a one-shot Zed kill. -
Yeah- I've had the same problem with the Remington and the M1911. Do we know if it's a deliberate change or if the beta patch has messed with damage. I managed to creep upon a fully kitted out sniper on the hill overlooking Elektro. I aimed my Remington at him from close range. I put four or five rounds into him and he still wasn't dead (although he was unconscious and bleeding heavily) - he was able to ALT+F4 out of the game.

Hey, I may have missed an update notice - but is it right that the hatchet now takes the place of the primary weapon? I like the idea of it being used for melee, but mostly I'd be using it for chopping wood. So - is it correct that it's no longer stored alongside the map, gps & watch etc, but instead either takes up 10 slots in my bag or is in the primary slot?

I love the idea of the direct comms - and I understand that once it's up and running global chat will be scrapped. Maybe I'm wrong on that. I think that global chat is a good idea. It adds tension because you can communicate with others, but there is always fear of giving away your position to others (bandits). Scattering ham radios around which enable global chat would be great because it would increase the realism and also the tension. Is it a friendly stranger on the other end wanting to team up, or a trap?
