What do you mean Dr Wasteland? Got some news?

I was thinking about this earlier, about where they could go with the medical system in the future. When base building is possible I'd like to see something like this. A broken leg will leave you only able to crawl. Splinting will allow you to stand/crouch and walk. Painkillers at regular intervals will let you move faster but not run full speed. Morphine will let you run at full speed, but is temporary. To fix the leg you either need to wait for it to heal while splinted, which takes x amount of time, or seek medical help and get surgery. Surgery would require the appropriate base set up, IV fluids, anaesthetic, sterile surgical tools, sutures, sterile dressings. All can be looted from hospitals. Something like that.

I accidentally killed a patient by bumping into him. He had 30 blood. I saw someone else mention getting to 23 blood.

Actually we're just not so cynical. No one has fired at me. No one has stolen from me. Why would they, if they need something they can ask me for it. I'm well geared and they have plenty of opportunities to get good loot by murdering me, but they don't, because they're not arseholes. They probably shoot anyone else on sight because they've grown used to running into people like you but they know they can trust us. I like to think we're showing that not every person in the wasteland will murder you on sight, and hoping that people will be a bit less cynical when they learn this. Not everyone's a dick. I'd like to see the old trend return where we would talk to everyone you see, instead of shooting everyone you see. We aren't taking away their learning. If they go to NWAF and get set upon and we come and help them they've still learned that NWAF is a dangerous place to be. They've just not had to lose their character to learn this lesson. They get to play on and hopefully they will pay it forward and help others in need. Hunt the medics if you wish. Being that much of an arsehole might just inspire the other good players to form vigilante groups to stand up to the chaotic pricks. Keep in mind though, my MK48 and my AS50 love tearing holes in skulls when they have to, I'm sure the other medics feel the same.

Tried to help 3 people tonight. The first had a helper already by the time I got there. The 2nd still hasn't replied or accepted me on steam. The 3rd was found by bandits and murdered before I could get there. Not so productive :P At least I got a good run. My lady will be very fit.

I'm at grishino waiting to hear from another patient so I can probably come help you at NWAF after if no one else does. Make sure you get it fully repaired before refuelling it, and I mean fully. They seem to leak fuel if even the glass is damaged (not sure if true :P ). GL HF with the chopper.

You're just near vybor? I'm logged off in a barn between vybor and NWAF so I'm probably very close to you. I don't have antibiotics, but I do have morph, bandages, blood, painkillers. Are you infected or just in pain?

Hey ajracerex. Welcome to the game. You can't use blood packs on yourself, you need to get another player to use a blood back on you. This is done by having a blood pack in your inventory, looking at the wounded player and scrolling the mousewheel to 'give blood transfusion'. The only ways you can regenerate blood on your own is to eat canned food, which I think gives 200, or eat cooked meat which I think gives 800 blood. Probably fair enough that you can't cannulate yourself for a transfusion. Though I have cannulated myself before IRL. Don't be scared to ask for a friendly person to come give you some blood.
