I actually was mid game with a friend when I got randomly booted from a server. I reconnected and the message said "Unable to load character data. Your character has been reset. Please reconnect to continue". Logged back in and everything was gone. There was no reason for it to happen, and this is a character I have over 20 hours playing on (If you don't count the fact I died once running down steps but managed to retrieve the gear). I was fully geared to the point that there was no other item I would ever need unless something worthwhile was released! Also had loads of ammo and some of my own blood bagged up by a friend. The annoying thing about it is that my friend was on the same server and he didn't get an issue, so it wasn't a server crash. I hope this can be resolved! Time to grind for gear again :(

Hi guys, I am looking for another UK gamer who wants to team up and play some DayZ, with future intentions of trying out for the survivor games! We would practice only on weekends, but can also meet up during the week. I have played DayZ since July last year, and have minimal experience playing as a group. But playing with a buddy has always been my ideal gaming style. If you are interested, please let me know with a reply below or a PM. Must be over 18 with skype and a working mic, and be able to practice atleast 10 hours per week (not set times, for example agree 2 hours one night, then 4 hours saturday then 4 hours sunday). I am not a hardcore gamer, so although I want to use solid tactics and approach situations in a mature way, I am really easy going and always up for a laugh! Not my worst, but one of my most satisfying...saw another player who had a hatchet, and I also only had a hatchet. We stopped as we both got eye contact, and at this point new it was ON. Charged for him, both got a hit on each other. Swung again, his legs broke...i ended up dying and respawning back on the coast. He was alive...with broken legs...in the middle of nowhere. Boom.
