Before I start, something I noticed yesterday is that when you place a marker on the map (double-click, the (X) icon), it shows up to everyone, or at least people near you. Is this statement accurate and intended or a bug? It'd be nice to have persistent map markers you can place, like thumb tacks of different colors that only show up on your map and go across servers (stored locally). I'd really like to be able to stick a thumbtack or mark on places of interest, like towers to get a vantage point, or wrecks, or water sources, etc. It'd also be nice to otherwise have an updated map with the additional things like the actual positions of wells/pumps that have been added onto the map, and the ability to remove the black (X) marks. Maybe do this in the form of a much rarer digital map? Something that shows up only in military installations?

This. I found the scroll wheel pretty convenient. On the subject of the carebear thing, so the fuck what? You're all adults, you shouldn't need to grow up. Would you rather have the interaction between you and Rocket handled by some sterile calculating support team like those bastards at EA and Ubisoft? You've got human interaction you twits. Why are you complaining about a good thing? This is transparency, and it's where game development is heading.

I like that. We've already got pumpkins in a lot of places. Could also use them as impromptu water cans. Fun fact: if you hit someone with a tin can your humanity goes down :)

No. Don't pull aggro. Players that are loud and stupid deserve the horde.

How common is wood? Is there an axe item we can pick up to cut trees?

Was walking W along the coast through Balota, and decided that it wasn't worth attempting to hit the horde on the dock. I decided to swim under the dock (first mistake) and found the wonderful swim bug. I went over the top of the dock back to where I started swimming to see if the items had dropped (second mistake), but as I was walking past a survivor was laying down on the dock and started shooting at me with is Makarov. It was just some stupid case of an idiot with a gun not knowing what to do, so he started unloading at me (bad shot) and I walked over and shot him in the head. He had me down to 4k health so I was hurting bad, and I started heading W again towards Cherno (nothing left to lose). I ran into Zero and Porto on the way there and tagged along for some food. Zombieland friends :D

Am I in a city? No, let him pull some aggro. I'm not gonna shoot anything in the city. I'd stay away from the guy and if he wants to tag along I'd shoot his legs out once we're outside of the city. No need pulling a liability. Am I outside a city? Avoid. No need pulling a liability. In either case, I'd be extremely wary. Does he have a pack? is it 12+ slots? He could be hiding a gun in his pack. Even a small pack can hold a sidearm.

I actually don't mind nighttime servers. Once the moon comes up it's reasonable, but before then I'll find somewhere else to play :/

Odd, I thought it was crap. Now that I look at it, it really does take all sorts of ammo... PDW mags, M9, MP5, and G17 :0 Might have to find another...

Guess you could play on one of the veteran servers?

I've got an AKM with 8 mags (ugh), a glock I'm looking to ditch, and a m24 in my pack. The AKM has so much ammo. 240 rounds? I can make that last months. The glock is a piece of trash so far (never had a chance to use it since I've only got the one mag). I did have a 1911 with 7 mags but the server forgot :( As it stands I use my AKM for everything. I like that the sights can be adjusted, it doesn't seem to make all that much noise, and I've got so much ammo I can afford to waste it on zeds. The glock is currently a rainy day weapon, but I'd rather have a revolver or a 1911 for general use. The m24 I've yet to find a use for, but I've only got 1 mag for it so I'm not going to use it yet.

Here's two from two days ago: Me and a friend were heading west along the coast past Balota. We're armed with an AK and a M1014. We see a guy on the docks of whatever town is directly west of Balota. Noob-looking, has a makarov, not much else. We'd been playing non-hostile, so we let the guy know to back off or we'd shoot him. He sees us and tosses a flare along the beach, runs to pick it up, then sprints towards us. He gets within 200m and we open fire. He actually made it pretty close since he started zig-zagging at the end. We ate his beans and moved on. Same day with the same partner: Guy walks up behind us outside of the SW airfield while we're checking our maps. We'd just raided the place and both had AKMs, so we turn and stare the guy down. We tell him to back off and he takes off and we let him go, but as we got up the hill he started firing at us with his makarov. Actually managed to land a hit and break my partner's leg, but then runs off. We find him a few minutes later running along a field, and we drop him at 250m. We ate his beans and moved on.

Got one of those as well. Gonna drink it tomorrow before some idiot kills me and doesn't realize what they have.

Was in the NW airfield in the control tower. It was night, and I saw a guy go into the firehouse I'd been in a few minutes prior. He came out and headed for the control tower, so I waited around with my AKM to get him. He came up the stairs and I lit him up, but as he fell to the ground he started firing and managed a lucky hit to my face. We both died instantly. Luckily, he was stupid and I got back to the tower first.
