OMFG!... I wanted harder Zombies but this takes the p*ss! Full health and reasonable gear to DEAD! in 4 hits!!! There is no skill or tactics in fighting them. Yes I've managed for 2 days with stealth but then a silent one just appeared and kicked the living sh*t out of me in 3 seconds!! FFS!.. from one extreme to another! Anyway, rant over :) (I feel like i've just been abused ;P so sorry to rant) -

As ambiguous as the possible release date may be, at least it looks like we'll all get to play it straight away and not have to wait for a golden ticket to be one of the first 50,000 or second 50,000, etc. -

I might have got the wrong end of the stick with your "Public hive only Chernarus" comment, if so sorry.... Public hives are available for all the maps as far as I know. Simply add "Vilayer" to your filter. This is a non official public hive. (Note: some may or may not say private hive and not be public)

Limited Zombie Spawns in City per player

I agree that when u clear the area of zombies more just spawn in and it's a pain as it seems endless. However... imagine the population of a small town.. 50,000 to 200,000. So to clear the town would take some ammo :) -
Hi, just like to add myself to the list of oldies. I'm 45 and been online gaming since quake (first online effort was duke nukem 3D over dial up) Neway, I hate how the hackers and shoot anyone players are turning the game so would would be gr8 to play with some like minded ppl. If there is a list about would be gr8 if it could b pm'd to me... cheers :)

Agree totally with the random tent respawn..... Firstly the whole game is about "Permadeath" therefore when you die in game you come back as a totally new person. You would have zero knowledge of your pre death life tent. However your tent would still exist after your death. So... the only way to keep things as real as poss, is to random move the tent as in fact it would still be there after your death but you would not know of it's location as a new survivor landing on the shore line..

Exactly... but why not add a safehouse option simply because it can be found? Tents can be found, so get rid of them? Just think how many villages and towns there are so how many possible safehouse locations there could be. Might be eaiser to keep hidden longer than you think. Also dont forget the safehouse is there only as long as your alive.

Tiercel has covered that point... cheers :) As for "Every door" in the game getting locked.... When the player who created the door dies then the door, alarm & LOOT! all vanish (even any loot stored by friends) This is because when you start again you would simply be a new player who never had the safehouse. I think this should also happen to Tents and all contents.

Because you can't enter a building through the windows in Dayz atm ;P TBH this might b more of an idea for the standalone as there will be more enterable buildings. However I just feel this would add another play option to the game and another reason to go scavenging & working as a team.

Possible way to make a safehouse... safe: 1. "Scrap metal" + "toolbox" = Option to make steel door (can only be opened by the person who made it) *Can be opened with "Crowbar" Timer when attempting to open door with crowbar so it take 1 to 5 mins (random) to open. 1 in 5 chance of "FAILED to open door try again" message after timer finishes 2. "Key pad lock" = allows door maker to fit lock with 4 figured code so he can pass code to friends and they can open. 3. "Alarm" + "car battery" = this can be fitted to door so that if someone tries to crowbar it instantly sets off a loud alarm that attracts loads of zeds. Basically one man on his own would not have time to crowbar the door and fight off the zeds but a squad might be able to get in. * You would not know if there was an Alarm fitted so you would think twice before even trying to crowbar the door if on your own.
