Lone wolves would exist and they would also be fucked in the head. Like people who move into the woods to get away from society and usually aren't the same. I should know, because I think about moving into the woods a lot. It'd be neat to see a character who was acting funny, all rugged and tore up. It'd be neat for role playing too. Surgery and crew fired weapons would be sick as tits too, man. I agree with you but if there's any part of the community restricting the development of the game, it isn't lone wolves. Me and the boys hopped on an RP server. Me, Bob Hopper, and Colonel. Had a real bad string of luck. Kept running into the same group of assholes. First time was in Berezino. He was a freshie and kept chasing us yelling "Berezino Police" and punching us. We eventually killed him. It's a lot harder than you'd think to kill someone who's just running around you and you don't have a weapon. Well, we kill him and move onto Svet. Asshole was there too. I slapped my axe in his back and he jolted off. We moved on to Novo. We get held up by a group of four. They were pretty decked out. Lead guy sounds super familiar. We only had a crossbow and a double barrel between the 3 of us. Main guy does the aim-up-gun-and-lower trick and pretends to be an accident. Pops Bob then for some reason, they all run off. Server resets during the chase. I log in and get wrecked by a hail of SKS, Colonel gets bit in the ass but lives long enough only to get killed by zombies. I was ready to give up but persevered. Well, we meet up in Kamishovo after a bit. Colonel gets an Elektro spawn. I ran into an Orange Coat fellow looking for a Red Helmet girl. Couldn't help him so he thanked me and left. Then Bob meets up with me and we hear a fucking load of fire being exchanged by the rocks. He sees the Orange Coat guy, on a hunch I tell him that's the guy I seen and he's alright. The presumably good guys win and we put our hands up, walking toward the winners. We exchange jokes, you'd have to be there for it to be funny. Orange leaves and we all move into Elektro. Once there, we get a little geared, not much, and meet a couple decent guys. AJ and Hunter. AJ all of a sudden gets dropped and we all jumped into the mini mart, the one with the busted garage door and red doors. We didn't know what it was, then Hunter types in chat he's lagging. We're all hidden behind some shelves. Then a player types "IM NOT" in response. His name was Ghibfest. Next thing I see is a round smack the garage door and some cunt starts leaning around, real slow like. Decked out, Mosin, milsurp gear. (I was using the TPP cheat, I know, dick move) He was blaring the "Purdge" announcement over his mic. As soon as he reaches the corner of the door, I assume I'm out of his peripheral vision, jolt to the door, swing it open and smack him in the temple with a sledge hammer. Hit him twice then he jolts. Next thing I know, we have a train of people chasing after him. Screaming hilarity at him. Just barely dressed men chasing a geared guy across Elektro with hammers and axes. He'd turn around, take a shot, get smacked, and jolt off again. We kept chase until he passed out from blood loss. I could be wrong but I swear he said "Good shit" with his last breath. Then after picking our loot, we move back in to check on Hunter. Bob heads off and finds him dead. Me and Colonel run into a a guy. Wearing AJ's old shit and a shotgun on his back. I checked his name because he wasn't talking. Ghibfest. I slam my new Fireaxe in mouth and kill him. Looted him and moved on. Found AJ again, had some laughs. Eventually found Hunter and his new buddies. We all left together to hunt, then the server shat out. Best time in DayZ I've had in a long time. This disgusting wall of text does it no justice.

It's not broke. You need to find a Jerry can, fill it up at a Gas Station, then find matches. Put the jerry can in your hands, it'll give you the option to douse yourself in fire. Once you do that, set yourself on fire. After a few minutes, you'll be back to a healthy 98.6 F body temp.

A server reset caused my character to get wiped. I spawned where I was wiped, in Svet. I found literally everything I lost in Svet again. Down to the same jacket and boots. So, gearing isn't all that hard. Then again, I rarely rock the Military shit. Anyway, I don't think much has changed since those days. M4 or Repeater, a shot to the head is a shot to the head.

If he combat logged on me, yeah, I'll kill him. If I'm a fresh spawn looting a town and he's logged in some random building, yeah I'll kill him. If he's a new spawn and logged somewhere stupid, I'll kill him. In fact, I think I've killed everyone I've seen logging. I voted situational because I've let it go but really, the only way to see someone who logged is if they combat logged or logged out somewhere there is loot. Like Flint said, I've logged out in trees away from towns since the get go and never been killed while logging.

What's the point in shooting every person you meet? Don't get me wrong, I love PvPing and so does every other player. But if you want to shoot at everyone you see, why play DayZ? I realize the rush is why most people do it but that doesn't mean you have to kill everyone in sight. Everyone has ran into a billion clowns that, no matter how stacked the odds are, try to kill you. But it's the handful of people that don't is what makes it fun. I'm not saying you shouldn't kill or you should play hero, but KoSing everyone you see or meet isn't all that fun.

Me and the clan hopped in an RP server today. I didn't have much faith in people actually following the rules, especially since it wasn't a whitelist server. But it ended up being pretty funny. We all RP'd as different characters but were all apart of a band we called "The Soggy Biscuit Boys". It was funny as shit. Here's the character I ended up giving his own look too.

I agree too. Especially with the latency thing. Anytime I'm in a firefight where timing is crucial, that shit happens. Then my buddies who are still alive report back with "Yeah, you got him." It gets frustrating. Worse than that, I hate the gunplay in this game. I can't describe it well but the gunplay is so... wonky, I suppose. It's not like other shooters.

Me and my clan were holding a trading post at Svet the other night. Buddy decided to try it out once we figured out what F11 lead to. We had no idea you could actually kill yourself with it. Absolutely brutal to watch, though. Dear God. And one where you have empty hands.

I can't watch this. It makes me physically hurt to see people melee fight in third person.

I just wear anything dark green or black. If it matches and distorts my human outline, it's good.

He got wiped by some server glitch or another. Gotten plenty geared since this but I liked the way he looked. Eventually traded the Pilotka for a Cowboy hat.

My incident with it happened well after 8PM last night. So it's probably a problem with the new patch.

ftfy Anyway, I'm fine with them taking the LRS from the Mosin. I doubt they'd remove it, that's dumb. And if I remember correctly, the Lee Enfield was pretty decent. So a scopeless Mosin is okay with me. Not like it matters once the Model 70 comes in. It'll basically be the same thing. What upsets me is the CR527 and it's barely acquirable ammo. I really wanted to try it out but without a magazine, what's the point? It'd be the perfect mid range residential rifle. But with the SKS' common spawning and the ability to use it without a magazine, the Cr527 is basically trash.

Same thing happened to me last night. Killed a boar with a Mosin and when I tried gutting it with a pristine Machete, it would show the animation but give me nothing. I'm not sure, but I heard where the DDoS attack happened, they had to use back up servers or something. I guess they were bugged because it was also nighttime on every server I tried too.

I hate having to get my clothes back, too. Food, meds, and weapons are easy to get. But getting your look right can take a bit. At the same time, though, it's fun to get a different look going again.

I played the mod but my first memory of DayZ SA was back in the dark ages. Every server was night time. I remember finding a body that, back then, seemed decked out. Not sure how he died. Had a raincoat, a holster, good pants and boots. I was amazed. I took all of his shit. Found a nice wood axe. Ran into some kid. I'm no bandit but I had to kill him. Chased him around with that axe in some dark town. Finally killed him. It was my first kill in DayZ SA. I took a screenshot of the poor bastard's corpse too. This is the best advice for any new player. Gear is REALLY easy to acquire. Always try to get used to the Residential weapons, too. Try them out and see what one you prefer. Because you're way more likely to run across a Blaze or Repeater than an M4 or an AKM.

Me and buddy were in Novo Clock Tower. Trying to find him a rifle. I'm packing a Mosin + Long Range. "You on the top floor?" "Yeah" Run up to him and run past a different player. Retreat to top floor, let my friend do the talking. "You guys friendly?" "Yeah, man. We're coming up, that okay?" "Sure, bud, c'mon up" I hadn't played in a good while. And my past few lives this week were poor. I'd get geared and get killed in very embarrassing ways. I was pretty jumpy. There were 3 of them. First guy just walks into the room with his gun out. I didn't realize it was lowered. I just dropped him. Forgot that DayZ gets your blood pumping. "You guys are NOT friendly!" He yells out. Buddy starts running around and yelling it wasn't him. Guy in the stairwell and a girl in the elevator to the roof. I lean around to get a shot, fire and miss. Hits the fucking door frame. "Can we PLEASE stop shooting eachother?!" the girl in the group yells. All I can muster is "I'm sorry" and drop her. Last guy in the stair well. I run around the elevator to get a shot. He slowly leans out. I pop him in the neck, he drops me with a shotgun. Felt sorta good to finally do some damage. My buddy loots them. Turned out none of them had ammo accept the last guy. Felt awful about it. Got my Mosin back, though. If the people I killed see this, I'm sorry.

No one is friendly. Only trust the team you roll with. Word of advice, though, if they sound 16 or younger, there's a good chance you'll have to put them down.

I rarely die from stairs or ladders. I don't know how I've avoided it.
