Thing is, KoS'ers and Bandits commonly wear TTsKO. 9 times out of 10, if someone shot me on sight, bambi or not, they were wearing TTsKO with a Gas mask. I chose to wear other shit than TTsKO because of that reason. It says "Hey, I'm not friendly". Y'know?

Was the dickhead in the stairs logging out? And why the fuck were they all in there like that?

I'd imagine it's a hacker. In any encounter I've had with a sniper, I've never had it go down like this. So yeah, hacks probably OP. Or the game freaking out like usually.

I lost my shit when you ran back into the house and he was dead. That shit was hilarious. Did you ever find the other guys?

Don't go to Elektro. That's a clusterfuck of shit. Saving a freshie there will only get you killed. Head up to Kamyshovo. I've seen my fair share of Bambi killers when passing through there.

Shoot some rounds off. I did it when I was stuck and the zeds that aggro'd came and pushed me out.

My current shit. First Riders Jacket I ever got. I was in Kamyshovo outside the Police Station when I saw a freshie. No sooner I said hi, some dick shot me in the face. A big firefight later, I make it back and get my killer's gear. Put it to good use immediately. Gotten 3 kills with this Mosin so far. Had to change out a lot of the gear though, got ruined when my buddy shot him up. Kept the Jacket because it looks cool and I'm convinced it's lucky.

It's not human nature. I'm unsure why people keep calling this game a "social experiment" and that these actions are how you'd expect a real human to act in a similar scenario. First off, the entire game is no where near realistic. Is it fun? Yeah. Is it like reality? No. In reality, there'd be moral standards, human conscience, the real fear of dying. In Day Z, you spawn right back. No loss. You lose gear but so what? It takes an hour or less to gear right back up. This isn't how people would act in a survival situation. And I highly doubt all the 14 - 20 year olds survived the apocalypse but older people didn't. Sorry to rant. But this "Social Experiment" shit really bugs me. This isn't how most people would act. If you ever talked to someone who's killed a man or see a man die, they sure as hell never tell the story as "yea, m8 got pwned by sum freshie, lawl" Anyway, more on topic, people KoS because it's a game. Add whatever you want, you may down the numbers but people will always KoS. In DayZ, sometimes it's better to simply not trust people. Edit: Plus, would anyone really want EVERY encounter to be friendly? I like meeting new friends, but sometimes firefights spice shit up.

Alright, it's story time! So, me and my crew were in Elektro. Decked out. We had a few firefights and went down swinging. It was a good time. We respawned and our third member bailed on us. So it was just me and my friend, Steve. We ended up at the same spawn, in Svetlojarsk. Steve wanted to commit suicide for a more southern spawn but I talked him out of it. We were already together and might as well loot Svetlo and hit up NEAF. So, we head off. We start looting. Nothing good. The Server was high pop and pretty picked clean. I managed a Pipe wrench and a sweet black beanie. Steve had his Fresh Spawn clothing, a hard hat and an empty chest holster. We could barely survive against the Zeds. He had to get off soon so I suggested we hit up NEAF as soon as possible. We left the town and no sooner we left we got shot at. The place was pretty quiet and it was out of no where. Steve takes a round and starts bleeding. We start zig-zaging trying to find our assailant and during this I tell Steve "Fuck it, man, let's just let him kill us." Steve was pretty pissed. "Fuck that shit, let's find his ass!" So after we zig-zagged for a bit, Steve spots the kid. Fuckin' decked out. Clean M4, UK Vest, the works. He's mic spamming taunts and is running around this guy. He's shooting his M4 like he's being attacked by a fireaxe squad. Spamming that shit. He starts his reload animation while Steve is running all around. I come up behind him and pull out my wrench. I get 3 clean hits on his ass. Drops him. Steve keeps running because no sooner our first attacker is down, his buddy comes running in with a 1911, firing rounds as haphazardly as his now KO'd partner. I pull the M4 off his body while Steve keeps him distracted. I wasn't thinking and went back into his pack for a mag. I forgot he already had one locked in. I pull out in time to shoot this kid. He drops me and I KO him. Steve has enough time before passing out from blood loss to pull my M4 and finish them both off. All while mic-spamming insults. I respawn outside of Berezino Factory and head my way up. I couldn't find anything to bring Steve back so he just logs out and logs back in. Which killed him because he was passed out. While looting the bodies, I was pretty confused. These guys were really decked out. Tons of food, tons of ammo. Looked like they'd been alive for quite some time. They just opened fire on two Fresh Spawns and then got killed by them. I've never known that shit to happen to me when I had half their gear. So I'm not sure why they were such horrible shots. Anyway, it was definitely the most intense moment I've had in DayZ in a LONG ass time. I wish I had recorded it but I do have some screenshots of the aftermath.

Ugh, the fake ones. Anytime I go to Svetlojarsk, in the woods outside it, I hear TONS of Zed noises. I turn around and never see shit. Creepy as fuck, man.

So, basically anyone having a good time? Anyway, my ROE: Never shoot a Newspawn. Unless he gets hostile or starts acting sketchy. "Uh, yeah can you bandage me? *puts up dukes* "Watch armed players. 9 times out of 10 it's a KoSer. Sometimes it's a kid trying to survive with an empty M4.If they're wearing TTsKO shit or those payday masks. Engage ASAP.If anyone, Newspawn or no, cooperates when being held up, don't kill them and give them some gear. Sometimes going with the flow will keep your ass alive.If I'm a newspawn, never fuck with geared guys unless fucked with first. When they hold me up, I follow instructions.Anyone playing Country Music over their mic gets a free brewski.

Haha, I never noticed the misspelling. I guess that explains it. I figured they were 12 year old script kiddies and just spawned in the gear or something.

I rather like Canteens. They come handy for longer treks when you don't want to break into your soda supply.

First time I ever did anything like this. I never try and fuck with geared players as a freshie. I either stay away, let them kill me, or do what they tell me. But these guys shot first and I got the chance to fight back.

I usually try and leave notes on myself. At one time, I kept a sort of journal of where I'd been and hat was happening. Then another time I wrote down a story about Green Mountain and left a code on a note. Doubt anyone ever even looked at it though...

What constitutes a bandit to you? I looked at a lot of these posts and by my standards, a lot of these people were dressed the exact opposite. KoS happens to New Spawns. Does jeans and a T-Shirt look like a Bandit to you?

Solution: Roll in a group. Everyone rolls in groups. I'd rather be killed by a group than to glitches, man.

Alright, so I was geared and I drank from a fountain. I got frozen and had to log out. My buddy watched a guy knock me out and then he killed my buddy. So, I log back in and I'm on the coast. Here's where I get pissed. If I do anything like raise my hands or any gesture, I freeze in place and CANNOT move. If I bandage myself, I only end up handcuffing myself. I still stop blood but I'm physically handcuffed until I log out and log back in. I'm lagging like fuck but my ping is like 90 and my bandwidth is fine. Not even Desyncing bad. And my friends say I'm just a dead body rolling around but I can loot and interact with the world. I'm not sure what the hell is going on. It happens on any server I go to. Anybody know? :'(

Sure is! That's Green Mountain. the Tower is the broadcasting station. Back in the mod, that place was fucking creepy. Used to play shit over the Radio if I'm correct. Now it's not as bad and spawns some great loot.

I love Green Mountain. I visit there a lot in the Standalone. It's a great loot dropper and has a great view. But back in the mod I stayed clear the fuck away from it. It definitely was cursed back in the Mod. But in the SA it's yet to creep me out. Off topic, Number Stations are the shit, Mullraugh. That's something I have trouble listening to in the dark.
