All I have to say is, without people endlessly bitching about the game, how would the developers know what to fix? Yeah, it's Alpha. Fucking exactly. It's in a modifiable state in which the devs can fix what we don't like.

Good story, OP. People are usually lying assholes. Ran into a couple guys who were willing to run with me and my buddy. But when I tried adding them on Skype, one of them shot at my friend. Ended up missing and hitting his own buddy, but still. "I'm friendly" means jackshit anymore.

Me and my friend are in Elektro. (Yes, classic start to a QQ thread.) But it was really low pop. Like 6 people. Me and my friend are in the Police Dept. and all of a sudden he yells "I just got hit! Shit, I'm dead!". I freak out and lay low. I'm at the top. He's dead and I start hearing Mosin shots being fired. I head downstairs and the doors are still closed, like he left them, and I wait. I hear some more Mosin shots. Definitely right outside and he's firing at Zeds. I run out at see him. I smack him with the axe and he says "Your friend died from the Zeds! I didn't kill him!" At the time, with adrenaline pumpin', I believed him. I follow him into the School house and I tell him over direct chat "I'm not in the mood for this bullshit, man. I'm trusting you right now!" All while he bandages and I watch him with my axe ready. He stands up and I hear the classic cling of ammo going into a rifle. I smack him again and kill him. I loot his shit and call it a day. Idk how he'd know if my friend had died. But I'm unsure whether I should have killed him or not. I have a creed of killing and he didn't exactly fit it. Should I feel like a dick?

Yeah, but the Day Z community isn't all Fathers and Ex-Military. It's kids trying to get on other kids' nerves. Know what I mean? I personally feel like it's not that big of a deal. If there is something obvious about you, people will poke at it. Online it's always your voice. People know it's a low blow so they take it. But it's whatever. What's with all the ethnic issue posts lately? People have been racist towards each other since forever. Especially on the internet. It's an easy and quick way to annoy someone. By making fun of their nationality or the way they sound. I catch shit all the time for my accent. "Look here, it's a fucking white trash hick, no one loves their sister like you do, huh, hillbilly?" It's not that they're racists, it's that it's an easy way to get to people.

My buddy was 90% sure it was a Sporter. After I killed the kid, he had a Sporter. So who knows. But it was sketchy how he knew of my friend's death. The way he said it. Y'know? Yeah, shit wasn't right. But he did hesitate after loading his rifle. I just didn't want to take the chance of him shooting me. I swung and got him. I just felt a little shitty because maybe he was telling the truth. He ended up having a lot of nice shit on him.

Definitely. I just got killed by a fully decked out guy in Elektro. I had literally nothing. Now, he'd have thought twice about even being there, let alone shooting off some rounds, if the cities were dangerous. But no, he maybe had one Zed aggro on him. I completely agree with you. And the dead freshie bodies you see around Berezino would no longer be there. As soon as someone spawned away from Elektro, it'd be "Fuck yeah, I'm away from that hellhole." instead of "Shit, better suicide to get back in the action."

I think the developers need to make big cities really hazardous. That alone would fix a whole lot of problems. Elektro deathmatch would stop and people would be forced to go inland. I'd like to see a firefight outside of one of the coastal cities. Instead of being shot on sight as a freshspawn.

You actually got held up? I've never been held up. I always just get executed, cold blood. I've had friends get held up when the Bandits weren't aware I was around. But never actually gotten held up myself. Anyway, a bandit is someone who will rob you or hurt you. Break your legs, handcuff you, take your shit. Or hold you at gunpoint and make you drop your stuff. It takes some skill. But someone who will kill you without thinking twice is a murderer.

Haha, oh shit! That had me laughing. I think this game will always be a grief fest as long as people have the ability to do as they please. No matter what they do. Thing is, that's what's immersive about it. Surviving. Yeah, you have to maintain to stay alive but anything that adds some spice to the game is fine with me. Right now, I don't even go inland. It's fucking boring. Nobody there. And once I'm "healthy", there's almost no point in living. So I look for trouble. I die. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I highly doubt it was ethnic. They probably decided to shoot you long before he asked you where you was from. I got executed the other day for not knowing the capitol of Idaho. People just want to fuck with other people. It wasn't because you're Romanian. It was because you were a human playing DayZ.

It is dire. You said it yourself, man. Most of the community is on the coast. Freshspawns too. So where will Bandits go? The coast. You don't find hostile people up north anymore. Unless you go to an Airfield or something.

Ever looked at a tiles on a bathroom floor? The ones with weird designs? Or anything on something that has a sporadic design? Like spackled ceilings or walls? It's easy to pick out little pictures that look like something. Same thing as looking at clouds. If you look hard enough, you're bound to find a picture within it.
