    20 words or less: Spawning without a weapon

    My only reservation about spawning without a weapon is that it does nothing to curb the bean wars that happen in the coast. Now, Zeds and loot spawns can be tweaked/fixed to make it less frustrating to get anywhere when you freshly spawn but people still shoot on sight. And now you're defenseless.

    I agree. Many people use Alpha now to suppress any criticism or suggestion for a fix. Even fewer actually offer any real opinions that are constructive, insightful, or even at the very least, polite. It is a failing of the community at large to accept change or to accept difference of opinion. However, this thread is exactly what we don't need in this community as well. Reactionary threads against individuals using abusive and confrontational language and vague threats do not sit well with me no matter how justified you feel they are. Closed.

    I'm not sure why some people think that they should be playing this game 24/7 and then complain when you run out of stuff to do. Well, go play something else. Or challenge yourself in-game. Relog-that's its own challenge right there. I don't like bringing up the Alpha argument on everything (I believe the community now uses it to suppress criticism just as much as to promote it) but this is indeed a very feature-lite game. If you were to take a week or 2 off, who would care? Some people need to realize that you are allowed to not always entertained by this mod. Because it's far from perfect but it's also very dynamic at this stage.

  10. Loosing gear in the water is not a glitch, it's supposed to be an Arma feature. Alright, I've been informed that recent patch notes might've made this an actual fix. I will take a look at them and see if this is legitimate. Continue discussion.

If you're someone who has been alive for the last few days and haven't had the experience of spawning with no weapon, you simply do not have the perspective to argue against the difficulty of first 45-60 mins of game. Provided you get that far. The beginning is rough. Worse, it doesn't negate the bean warrior attitude. If anything it amplifies it, since now bean hunters will ruthlessly kill fresh players knowing full well that they have nothing of value on them. They know they can't be opposed, there is no recourse for the fresh player; no way to defend him/herself I witnessed this first-hand. After being killed 3 times in succession by armed survivors who could plainly see I was not armed. They did it just because they could. I do not oppose this in principle. I oppose the idea that they could do this without any contest from me. EDIT: Threads merged.
