You guys (and gals) sure derailed this thread right-quick. Here's what I'm going to do, I'm going to lock this thread and go through and warn people as I deem appropriate based on the reactions I've seen. Then I'm going to give the OP a moment to reflect on her hypocritical and inciting words and maybe remake a thread that doesn't spawn so much hate and division on an already super-sensitive forum. Oh, and good job to the person who brought religion into this. I'm sure if I let it go much longer we could've have good ol' Godwin law join in. Closed.

Loot spawn rates after 1.7.2 patch

Raided a hospital last night. Bandages did spawn but seemed in lower supply that I seem to remember. That's just my subjective take on the situation though. -

I've been doing it, mainly because I feel it's pretty balanced; leaving you ridiculously exposed as you go about moving gear/loot from place to place. It requires focus, patience, and like I said, the willingness to expose yourself in frequently trafficked areas. If rocket says it's an exploit, fine. But we'll need an alternative or fix for the current system. -

Ignore him. He's just a troll. I've always wanted a system where I could have some identification on friends or people I've met recently. People recognize facial features and body-types in real life but this is limited in Arma2/DayZ. An arbitrary (but elegant) system for player identification would allow us to differentiate between the countless survivor clone models and be able to form better relationships with people in game. Also, reduce friendly-fire incidents.

This mod is rough for new players. It is arguably the roughest it's ever been for new players and also equally arguable that it might be too much for the average new player. But part of what this game is about is learning from the stupid mistakes you make and learning to persevere through the mistakes that aren't yours. Every death, aside from hackers, glitches, or obscene bad luck, should be a learning experience in its truest form: "I did this once and got killed, I should rethink how I approach that in the future." Don't be afraid to go through a lot of trial-and-error for this game. That's part of the appeal. The sensation that you're learning and improving. That every attempt makes you stronger, smarter, and hardier.

Why would you do that? How was he able to drive up next to you unless you were being perfectly visible? People can be assholes in this game but it looks like this was your fault. I mean you had a lot of good gear, why did you risk it so cavalierly on the hope of meeting a friendly? -

I wanted it to happen insofar that if people needed to vent, without necessarily being constructive (hopefully you'll still try), they could do so here without creating an entirely new thread for it. That still falls under expressing an opinion (as you've succinctly put in your title) and as long as you guys and gals report abuse as normal, it should all be fine. I will, however, remove the 'Tears and Fears' line because it risks the posters of thinking the OP is trying to incite. That was my own personal flavor and I will adjust it to keep it true to the original intent and good-will. -
