  1. Definitely not hyperbole. Sure, other games are 'hacked' or 'exploited' or whatever term you want to use -- the difference in Arma 2 / DayZ is the amount of power given to those who exploit.

Fix all of these things first!

Actually, no. Traditionally, alpha testing is aimed at weeding out bugs and refining the product for maximum stability, not extending/ creating functionality. Software design and development is usually pre-alpha.
  3. It's particularly strange when you realize exploiting in this game brings 0 profit. It's not an MMO and there is no RL item value, so people basically rebuy only to ruin others' gaming experiences -- odd.

A one in a million encounter...

"Friendly" is pretty relative here.. he certainly wasn't friendly to the people he helped these guys kill. There are no friendly hackers. Someone's experience always winds up tarnished. Lame is lame.

    Hackers is taking over DayZ

It's much more an Arma2 /BE flaw than a DayZ flaw. Pray the standalone (if that happens?) doesn't suffer the same issues.
  6. The "pics or it didn't happen" comments are amusing. Some people are clearly ignorant to the power of executing Arma2 scripts. Yes, hackers can force both you and servers to execute scripts. In this case, Arma2's extensibility and moddability is a bit of an Achilles' Heel.
