I like most of the little changes but... Inventory needs to be fixed or more polished. I dont mind it, takes awhile to get the hang of it, but I got friends who are not liking this at all. I can see how they dont like it. And I feel that it may put alot of people off this game. The sounds suck. Sometimes (when standing still) you hear wierd footsteps on metal sound, and no one else is around. Sometimes when running up a hill or backwards or something, your own footsteps sound like distant gunfire. Sounds are probably the most important in games like this. If you dont have accurate sounds, how can you depend on them. Best thing about the best games have been sound effects

Hey, I was just wondering how many guns there are in standalone. Are they only found at the airfields? Are there no more military tents in Berezino? I couldnt find any, does that mean there are none in Stary? That would suck if guns are only found in 3 places

If they add the stuff that was in the mod with the stuff they added on in SA, and optimize it a bit, Ill be happy with that. Oh yea, anti cheat. I was quite happy with the mod and thought it was perfect, but the cheaters kept me away.

What part of Canada do you live? Do you have any other options? I live in a rural area where a 6 or 7 years back the only options were 56k or satelite. My cousin had the Satelite connection and pinged about 200-300 ms pinging on speedtest to Seattle Now I moved here and they have some sort of long distance Wireless that you pick up with a certain type of antenna. I get crap download speeds but I get decent ping.

I been only playing the SA for 9 hours. Been on my first life the whole time. Seen 1 person. Kinda ran into him in Berezino in some random building. He pointed his gun but I only had a shovel and he didnt shoot. We both went our seperate ways -

This was where I found a tent on my first run in the mod. Found a coyote pack and an M4 among other things. Also found a truck an hour later. Man I was sooo nub that someone stole the truck when I got out at a gas station. I was tryin to figure out how to fuel up and someone just jumped in and took off hahaa memories :D -

Reminds me of BF3, just hurts the eyes. Also the sun is more south than it was in the mod. If it was up higher it wouldn't matter all that much. I wonder if there will be Always cloudy servers just like there is 24/7 daytime servers. Might just play on servers that are on night time -

meh, I usually figure this stuff out on my own, just really wanted to know how many guns there were. Dont judge me by my sig, I am very helpful. I can get you back to the coast with no problems EDIT: oh yea, when will tents be implemented? thats one big thing I love doing when im a lone wolf, looting tents :P EDIT2: Can you use compasses? I have one but I dont see a key bind for it, nvm I figuered it out

Nope, just like when I first tried the mod, I just jumped in knowing nothing ;p Thx for the reply. At the moment I have a .45 handgun so that should do for the moment.

I say restart the process with a recoded Arma 3 engine so there are less hackers. This looks like Dayz mod with a different (and uglier) inventory -

I always preferred Chenarus over any other map, played hundreds of hours and still never got bored. Only reason I dont play these days is because there is no protection against hackers. Also I dont like private hive custom 200+ vehicle spawn servers, I stick with main hive

I remember the first time I found a car. It was actually my first day. I found a ural at Balota warehouse. Then I drove it to the airfield, then I checked the gas station on my way to cherno. Thats when I heard it drive away lol.

I still play on Hive servers. Dont really like private hives, Sure I haven't seen a blatant teleporting hacker, but i cant take all the mods and custom bases, custom crap and 30000 vehicles in one server. It just doesnt have the feel original DayZ had. Just like I like Vanilla Counter Strike or any other game without 200+ mods on a server. I cant wait for the standalone, for one there will be less hackers. 2, there will be consistency

I dont see how or why this would want to be hacked. I loved when I could see my humanity. I was almost -700k. I could see it getting hacked to be a hero I guess for the skin, but I dont see how anyone would hack to be a bandit. I'm a bandit. That doesn't mean Im a negative person. I meet people and team up and stuff. Most of the times I kill someone is because I was shot at first. I also help unarmed people get a better spawn :P I'm a good bandit :D
