So, I was in Kabanino when my friends said that they were being shot at from sniper hill in Stary, so I decided that I should head down there and help them out, I approached sniper hill from the north and saw 3 clowns bunched up next to each other with snipers aiming down, I literally went 2 feet behind them and they still didn't hear me, I even had enough time to put my CZ in my bag and pull out my AKM, I then proceeded to shoot the first man in the head, then the second man, and as I turned to shoot the third, BAM! Skin change, freezes my character and pulls out my pistol (Why would it pull out my pistol? Why?), which gives the guy enough time to turn around and spam an M14 in my chest. What a fucking joke. Anyways, after having this experience I thought I would suggest something to Rocket and the development team; There should be at least a one minute delay before your character switches skins after killing people.

If I got my hands on a .50 cal sniper in a zombie apocalypse I would most definitely do that.

So, I found a speed boat which was awesome and used it to get over to this island that I had never seen before, turns out it's called skalisty island and I was just wondering if there's anything of value that I should look for there before leaving. Thanks :)

I know this thread might as well not exist but you guys have to admit, BE is astonishingly bad. They claim to have banned 11k hackers globally but then reverse it a day later because they found out 50% (Don't know the real percentage, I may be exaggerating) of the bans were innocent players, and then they make a soppy fucking apology that just looks so unprofessional.

So, I updated to the latest DayZ patch and now DayZ doesn't work. I'm not sure if I'm mentally retarded or it's a problem with the patch. Can anyone help me out here?

So, you know how I made that thread earlier about me getting to the airfield, logging out, logging back in and being in an empty field and then logging back out and in and finding myself back at the shore? Well I made my second journey to the airfield when I decided to log out and update my game so that the artifacts were fixed. Logged back in, back at shore with no backpack and a shemagh scarf around my head. /slitwrists back to the airfield again I suppose.

Okay, so I had another brain fart and realized I was attempting to join outdated servers (1.7.2.4 etc.).

I think I celebrated a little too soon, still can't get past the loading screen on any servers. I'm running 1.7.2.5 and the 95883 OA beta patch.

Forgot to install the latest OA beta patch. I think I should go to the "special" hospital to get checked.

Well, you know how when you load up DayZ through the Six updater or the OA beta patch you get the big DayZ logo loading screen instead of the tank loading screen, well I'm getting the tank loading screen and I can't get past the loading screen on any server. Sorry if I'm not doing something very obvious.

So, after spending over 3 hours running from Elektro to the NW airfield and looting the hangars and air control tower, I got tired and decided to log off and loot the barracks the next day. Today was supposed to be that day but I logged in and I was on the you are dead screen, so I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to see if it was just a bug but now I'm just in the middle of nowhere, like no trees, grass, plants, houses, zombies or anything visible (I tried running for like 10 minutes but still nothing visible -.-). What is going on?

Yep, got put back on the coast, time to run back to the NW airfield again!

So, I was in Cherno in a DE server (can't remember which) looting the fire station when I heard a shot come through the window, I ran downstairs in a hurry and laid prone aiming at the small door entrance with my AKS-74U (The guy had barricaded off the three big entrances with barbed wire, and I assume he was just purposely hunting the fire station (5 other dead bodies)). After a 2 minute wait I saw his head lean in so I put 3 bullets into it, I looted his body to find he had NVG's a rangefinder, an M107 with plenty of ammo, an L85A2-AWS with plenty of ammo, a ghillie, a coyote backpack, a bunch of food, drink and medical supplies, this was an amazing find since I had only spawned like 20 minutes ago. I was pretty happy with this find until the same guy with the exact same gear magically teleported 5 meters away from me and shot me. *sigh* Ah well, I knew I wasn't gonna get away with finding that crazy stuff so soon after spawning ^^

Okay so I got a global ban yesterday for no apparent reason but I was chilled out about it because I was confident that BE would fix it, and surely enough, they did, I got my ban lifted as there was no evidence of me using scripts of hacks or anything like that. So I'm playing happily today running through Elektro on my way to Cherno to get to my buddy and BANG! Global ban again. dafuq is going on? Edit: This isn't a ban appeal or anything, I'm just really confused and wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

But what if they ban me again for using fraps lol, because you know that's "totally illegal and destroys the game and is hacking and shit" - BE

I just decided to buy the game again seeing as I don't think that BE will be responding anytime soon... If I get banned again I'll let you guys know.

I am seriously starting to believe that BE is trolling me, I logged in half an hour ago to see if the ban was still there... Nope, I was free to play DayZ again, but then 25 minutes later BE banned me again...

Am I a bad person for maxing my gamma and brightness in the night?
