The same thing happened to me and my brother... we lost all our guns and ammo, food etc. But kept maps, gps, knife etc... Why do moron hackers do this? Seems so pointless...

Sarcasm83: sorry I was getting my threads mixed up... the spawning near coast that i was talking to relates to this thread (http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3600-157-keep-spawning-at-the-coast/) and is all to do with the latest patch and potentially the spawning near coast is a result of switching servers. Its happened to me even though I only swap servers for geniuine reasons and thats what I was asking about

Thanks Sarcasm83... re-replaced files and now running through Steam. Connecting to updated servers and connects pretty quick. Is it now advisable to stick to one server then? I tended to just pick a server from a selection of 'favourites' before but dont want to keep being teleported back to coast if its going to happen...

Hmm just noticed that when I run Six Updater andd choose to verify it replaces the files in my DayZ folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons). I can only assume that the new 1.7.2.5 files I've manually placed there are being overwritten with 1.7.2.4 again by SU. Can anyone help?

I've downloaded and replaced the files, then also ran the arma2 beta launcher as suggested. However Six updater still shows as 1.7.2.4 and dont seem to be able to connect to updated servers... are people who have successfully updated seeing the version as 1.7.2.5 in six updater? (i.e. on the left where you can switch between games/mods)

I've not applied any patch as of yet and this has happened to me whilst not wearing a ghillie suit. I was running across a field when I suddenly went down with a broken leg and about 30 player models appeared around me all facing in different directions?? I don't know what the hell happened but it was as if it had crashed. When I tried to reconnect it sat at 'loading' for ages so i gave up and I've not been able to connect to that server (along with others) since. I eventually connected to another server only to find myself teleported near the coast... its very frustrating as I just have a feeling I'm going to be killed now after spending hours trying to keep away from trouble.

Well what can i say... i only discovered this group a few hours ago and within a few minutes of my post Snortan was on the case. He waited patiently while I had fun connecting to a server and then finally pinpointed my location before patching me up! Thanks again man, legend! It's awesome what you guys are doing and its encouraging to know that there are other survivors in DayZ willing to cooperate (everyone else I've met so far in game has killed me). Keep up the sterling work! Thanks also Joe Shaw for the msg and offer for help.

What a great idea! Just been caught out by a zombie and currently lying on road north out of Kamenka (with 1000 blood). I have no blood bags but ddo have an AKM/Revolver to happily hand over. Just like the idea of being helped by a medic :) my steam account name is trail182. Thanks in advance.
