Tried it, got the same result as always.. really frustrating, i haven't been able to play the game for a couple of days now. Even if i manage to somehow join a server i get disconnected in about 5 seconds.

34 mbs connection. Works perfectly fine until i try to enter a server, then it just crashes. Doesn't happen with anything else other than DayZ.

Most servers i attempt to connect to result in a disconnect either immediately or after a brief period of time. However that wouldn't really be such a problem for me if it didn't take my internet connection along with it. This is happening way too often, and my internet is gone for a couple of minutes after the disconnect which means the game itself is crashing my internet which causes me to disconnect. I have windows 8.1 gtx 570 intel i7 2600k 8GB ddr3 I was playing on the lowest settings and in the config file in documents i set the max gpu rendering distance to 1. So the preformance isn't the problem, it's keeping my goddamn internet alive. I don't have these kinds of disruptions until i run DayZ. Firewalls and antiviruses all disabled. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: Oh, and i have looked around for similar issues, and the only thing i could find was a post from 2012 on the old DayZ where a person had the same problem as i, solved it by running the game in windowed mode, so i tried that with no success.

And that tells you nothing? Cause and effect. I think there should be more god damn posts about this until every page is flooded.

Then ban their Arma II key and steam account. I don't understand the leniency towards hackers. If they hacked they should be forever removed from the game without any chance of redemption.

Yeah screw this. Either i get teleported into a field and get shot or i get thrown into the ocean. My advice for what should be done with hackers: IP ban them for life, transfer the bans to the standalone.

I was running around Elektro trying to find people to murder when all of a sudden my character started gliding or swimming through the air but i couldn't control him. Moments later i appeared in a open field filled with players, i alt+f4'd quickly to avoid getting murdered by everyone. I don't know if what i did was wrong or if it was a bug in the system but when i logged back in on another server i was stuck in this open field with no grass or trees.. thankfully i had a map and made my way to the woods... i was all the way accross the map, as far north as possible i think. Funny thing though, while going down the woods i found a working truck with loot in it. Some poor sod probably thought no one was going to pass there. Anyway, what the hell happened? I'm sorry if i wasn't supposed to alt+f4 i know people don't like it when others use it but i was damn confused as to what was going on.

Hi, i am kinda new to this game but i've managed to survive for quite a while a now (couple of dayz) and know how most of the stuff works, which end of the gun makes the loud noise etc. So if the experience thing isn't too important, i can follow orders very well. Oh, and is it a problem that i'm 17.. month away from 18 though. First clan application i've made (Or will make when i write the mail) because i like the sound of murdering people.. to a worrying degree actually.

On the second loading screen, the one with the bar loads very quickly..

This one time, i actually logged into a server and played the game! No, i'm not joking! I really did. In all seriousness i've been trying to enter ANY server for an hour now and i'm stuck at "Loading", i am updated to the second to last beta version. If anyone can help me reduce the loading times, that'd be great. Oh and if they are dependent on computer specs: GTX570 I7 2600k 3.4ghz 8gb ram And a 16mbit net connection.

So i've finally managed to stay alive for more than an hour, much to the misfortune of a couple of people, and now i'm recklessly putting myself in danger with all my good loot. Why? Because i can't stand the stupid color filter you get when you lose blood. I don't understand it, it's not needed as an indicator since we have a blood icon on our HUD, it doesn't hinder us too much if that was the intention. It's just god damn annoying and there should be a way to toggle it. Now if you drop below 5000 or something, then some screen effects would be alright. Also, did the zombie plague destroy our bone marrow or something? How come we cannot naturally regenerate blood, instead we have to either eat enough beans for us to fart our way to the moon, or we have to find a blood bag and get another human to help us. Now i don't know about you, but every single human i've seen has tried to kill me, except for the unarmed who want to rob me. In conclusion, i want to be a vampire . (But seriously, please look at the blood thing)... Wait, should this be in suggestions? .. nah. (P.S. If there is a way to toggle it... i am sorry for not being very observant and adding a usless topic on the forums, if you could just point out what i have to press i'll just go away..)

I am completely new to this game, but i've seen some videos. Didn't stop me from being eaten by zombies in mere seconds in my first couple of tries though. Anyway, i got spawned somewhere on the coast. I could see a lighthouse, so i walked to it. Below i saw a village with a big empty barn that was probably full of loot... or cans. So i made my way down there and suddenly i heard gunshots. I hid behind a truck and saw a guy hit the ground with blood gushing everywhere and someone else trying to loot him. I thought since i was new i might aswell pick the bones clean for stuff that someone as well geared as the killer wouldn't need. So i crawled to the corpse (i was unarmed by the way) and before i could reach it the killer pulled out a silenced pistol and started firing at me.. He was a horrible shot and wasted a lot of bullets on someone who was 10 feet away from him. So i decided to take him with me. I got up and started running at the zombies trying to pull as many as i could... got only 6-7 of them behind me though but it was enough to make the guy run out of the barn.. I started chasing him with my zombie army and when he turned around to make a stand i got behind him and stole all his ammo for his fancy military gun that i couldn't identify... looked cool though and there were about 5 mags, got those and ran for the hills where i passed out and died from blood loss.. with the ammo. Now i murder everyone including the unarmed. Especially after that foreign guy who was screaming at me in some incomprehensible language with loud music and a ghillie suit shot me in the head while he was being chased by zombies.. Though i did try to save one unarmed guy from a legion of zombies with nothing but a crowbar and a bicycle.. I love this game.
