Good ole Nick. I killed you twice yesterday with the M107. I was looting your shit in the middle of the field near Balota when the server reset so what I got didn't end up in my inventory upon next login if that makes you feel any better.

Cover the whole map multiple times. Establish your own hidden camp multiple times with vehicles. Fly around the whole map a bunch and see all other camps. There is no good place that can't be found.

Look for player camps on v1.7.2.4 moderated servers. Vehicles in the current build are a fucking joke as they respawn every server restart. Fuck some servers tents aren't even there.

Dupe it 8 million times like everyone else so everyone has one to level the playing. I was on a server last night that had one in every tent.

My group of 6 is tempted. Not sure though mods always monopolize the chopper which I find annoying.

30 day alive run. Try to crawl through tree stand fallen down fence at Balota airfield last night only to get stuck on a rock. Only option mousewheel gives me is climb down ladder. Do that although on my screen I am already on the ground. BROKEN LEG, Knocked out, etc. 4k blood and bleeding! Come out of that press G for bandage, but am still under tree stand. Sit up due to G. YOU ARE DEAD! Sigh. At least all my gear was a short run away. The game continues....

Ok, I log out last night in Ghillie, NVG, L85, GPS etc. Have everything in camp with buddies. Try to log in this morning...first two tries... CD Key in Use. Third try I make it to server only to be in a different place with different gear. Female toon with M1A4 CCO SD, 5 clips, cooked food, cokes, NVG, Range, GPS, no compass, Alice Pack with DMR, some chem lights, DMR 4 clips. If my CD got hacked this seems like funny hacker gear (maybe?). Anyone have this happen? At first glance I want to shove a Win 7 disc in my PC and reinstall as I feel hacked. I ran virus software, all is fine. Secondly I'm thinking just buy another CD key, but really is this just a user ID mismatch or something? Anyone have this happen? Any help would be appreciated.

Exactley what Bloomquist said here is what sums up this thread and putting it back on topic. Although I am going to continue playing here and there.

Just as soon as that server gets restarted all your work for fixing/keeping vehicles will be gone. In v1.7.2.5 all cars are reset to respawn on server restarts. Tents remain if saved, but bye bye vehicles. No reason to get upset about it. Me and my friends do it every night and it is the experience with friends that make this game fun even if a hacker comes along. Whatever we laugh and then help whoever died. A buddy of mine runs a server and they have tents with all heli repair parts, so when he restarts his server (every 8 hours) they fix the chopper and keep it. Kinda lame tbqh.

v1.7.2.5 alll vehicles reset to respawn on server restarts. Most admin controlled servers have tents with all heli parts near heli spawns so they monopolize the bird. Fucking pretty lame imo. Do not expect to own a vehicle for any portion of time other then the night you have it.

Only reason to take the motorbike is if you play with friends. Otherwise the bike is fine solo. Nice a quiet.

v1.7.2.5 server restarts - tents will remain as long as you save them. Vehicles go back to respawn. I am currently experienceing my tent city gone, but it will appear eventually. Happened last week.

I found Mt. Dew yesterday. Drank it. Ran towards woods to get to my quad and all of a sudden had a UH-H1 hovering directly above me. No good weapon on me to shoot it, so I wait, it flies off. Hop on quad and promptly blow up and die. CCO SD, NVG, GPS, Ghillie........in Berizino........inc long ass run......again......

Similar thing happened to me when I first started playing at the NWAF with a hacker giving me gear. AKM turned into an AS50 + everything else minus some things. Then just yesterday I log onto a new server as our old one doesn't operate anymore. My group was losing two vehicles, dirtbike, a lot of gear ghillies etc all found legitimately. The new server I was checking out has zero players on it from first glance. And our camp is in the north, and it is where I log on, so I decide to check the NWAF. Hit the E Barracks, then Firehouse, then into the Hangers. I get to the last hanger and there is a tent in it. I find NVGs, GPS, and a M240. I was holding a CCO with AS50 in my pack, ghillie, NVG, Range, GPS, everything basically. I turn to exit and notice a tractor flying down the run way, but quickly escaping my view. I only have time to shoot with the CCO and go through a clip on it. It veers around the other side of the Hangers. I slink quickly into the woods. Check P and see one other guy is on. Seconds later he spawns on me and kills me. Oh well back to the coast. This clearly isn't our new server =(

Look up other Arma maps and you can find what it looks like. My honest opinion is what happens off the map stays off the map.....
