Banditry: The Underappreciated Service to the DayZ Community...ATM
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to kayakinack's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
ahh yes cowards hiding behind the veil of the internet greifing people using whatever excuse they can think of to warp it into a good thing yes that is a service literally less then 30 minutes ago my team had our base raided north of the map, blew up our bus, car and ATV filled with medical supplies. i alone had over 10K humanity, they all died, im still at work so havent logged in yet. dam near lost all interest in the game due to the assholes and hackers, but hey you reflect the mass population of assholes and reinforce my opinion on humanity in general why did you do it ?, so you could feel better about yourself after your daddy beats you ? -
BattleEye BANNED for no reason
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to quegler's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I find it amusing that people that dont know WTF they are talking about come in here and say Battleeye doesnt false ban. If you did your research you would find how easy it is to change or fake the info resulting in battleeye banning the wrong person. Idiots actually thinking hackers will use their legit ID's when they hack -
I saw your PM, but dont know if you saw my reply, I was not hacking vehicles, we found the ATV, was rolling around and got to a bridge, when got to the bridge the ATV flipped on the bridge, we tried ti right it back up by doing the reverse with wheel turned, it worked minutes earlier when i took a hill to fast, aparently doing it on a bridge might have been what crashed the server. I went to log back in and Battle eye kicked me for something related to a vehicle. It was because i was still ON the vehicle when the server crashed, tried it twice, and when i logged back in i was under the bridge swimming in the water, my friend ended up loosing his ammo because of it. Had to go to a diffrent server to log in again and get out without loosing everything. When i came back to your server the ATV was sitting next to a building, so we got back on and took it back to where we hid it. I was not hacking your server, the Risk of Banning is not worth a quick jaunt on a vehicle, if i want to play with the vehicles i can just load up the ARMA 2 Armory

"fixed graphical glitches" MY ASS
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to austendude's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
you do know that BI made him Lead Producer, or Developer or something ( head Mofo in charge ) of the standalone and he does indeed have a team. its not just him there is a small team for the mod, but that ATM is an afterthought to the Standalone. its not just him, the standalone will make him money, he makes Squat on the mod, its safe to say that he doesnt care about the Mod at this point, he said in an interview he cant fix a majority of the problems with the DayZ Mod -
How to gain and lose a vehicle in minutes || Epic loot || DayZ
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to CCTMxJacko's topic in New Player Discussion
i disliked it due to the massive amounts of rotation and zoom in a video, were you the captain of the Costa Concordia you dont need so much special effects, it detracts and makes it hard to see what is actually in the video. im guessing you got a truck from the still picture, couldnt tell from the screen going every which way rotating and zooming. -
I get kicked every day to know response from BattleEye, have to manually redownload and install battleeye daily, sometimes multiple times a day to get it ti work, Battleeye is a oile of Crap

Can the Arma 2 engine support large metropolitan areas?
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to miscology (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
decent sized cities would be awesome. just the cities, could have roaming bands going street by street and even take control of whole sections of the city. -
Global Bans for legit players?
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to unhap's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
How about you do a google search for Arma2 hacks and STFU. I found the information in less then 5 minutes. And i call BS on you " id be fired from work " crap. The link to the proof already in the forums, but the mods deleted the topic as soon as it was created -
Global Bans for legit players?
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to unhap's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Found out why legit players are being banned. The bans are based on GUID, this is both to the Hive, and BE Bans. And a scripter can easially change their GUID, resulting in 2 options, play as the spoofed player and take their stuff and offload it to another player / kill them. Or run scripts on said GUID, and if banned, the Spoofed User will be banned, they can easially do it again with another GUID. Just face it, this games from a security standpoint is screwed due to flawed security tat was never meant for the public, but for the military. I seriously doubt the standalone will be any better as Rocket has already said it will use Arma3 as the standalone in his last Stream with machinima, and Arma 3 is the same crap -
Screw the hacking! Finally dogs!
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Novalis's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The point of Alpha is to fix major issues and bugs, If he find that boring then to hell with the game, the stand alone wont be any better acording to that mentality -
Why nobody will be buying Day Z standalone
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Revilo's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I do like DayZ to a degree, but considering the competition is free, wondering what Bohemia is planning on doing to make it worth a $60 game. ( im assuming it will be $60 as thats the going price for commercial games, yes i know Minecraft is diffrent, but there is a diffrence between indie studio pricing their stuff and a major studio such as BI, BI has a higher overhead, where a small indie doesnt have as much ) ( edit - and why would somebody stop playing the free version of the current DayZ and pay, and before everybody flames, remember when everybody complains about DayZ, everybody jumps on the " its Alpha you didnt pay for DayZ " crap ) -
Mega Camp Location -- US 1555
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Moonchild's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Ahh, i got it, the AltF4 thing I cant even get that to work when i get teleported 200m into the air, or put in thunderdome. Died multiple times to hackers because Alt+F4 just brings up a ingame squad command menu, lol -

Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Moonchild's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
What is Combat Logging, and why banned for it ? Wouldnt it bee a good idea to find out who fired what and who didnt die from multiple hits. In theory it would make it easy to see whos invulnerability hacking Or am i guessing wrong on what Combat Logging actually is -
whos to say thew weapon was hacked in, i know when looting i will put whatever i didnt want into whatever has the wep i want, the person might have wanted a assult rifle instead of the AS50 and put it in the same loot pile

Hackers - What you need to know.
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to DarkRaven123's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Close minded people ? So getting angry about hackers / exploiters and being told nothing will be done ( and by saying nothing can be done, is same as nothing will be done ) your fully accepting of that ? Have you given rockers your bank account information yet ? As it sounds like no mater what your just going to throw everything you own at him once he starts taking payments. And as far as bans, they are hacking the game, its safe to say they no longer, or never did have a Legit purchase of the game, so banning a CDKey isnt going to do squat due to a visit with a KeyGen if they even use that. With the Always trust of the client what does the client even use to authenticate, is it something easially editable that a person can easially change. As it stands now the Hackers are going nowhere, was said in first post nothing can be done, i have heard forum people say he was going with his own engine, yet i havent seen a rockers post about it. Andyour fine with it They have names for people like that,, they are called Zealot FanBoys, Apple has alot of them ( edit - yes i inow diffrence between script kiddie and actuall " hacker " but if the people couldnt write the program, the script kiddies couldnt use the utility in the first place , ) -
Hackers - What you need to know.
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to DarkRaven123's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I dont care its alpha, " its Alpha " is a punk excuse when you cant think of anything else I dont care that its free, mainly because i shure as hell wouldnt pay to be hacked on a daily basis, and i know i wouldnt trust any kind of payment info anywhere tied to it If we are suposed to test this game, then fine lets test security features. Suposedly acording to the thread the scripting has a white list or black list or whatever. Did anybody think to only add the scripts nessisary for dayz to run to that list ? Or remove teleporting all together ? For a script to run it has to authenticate commands if im understanding correctly, so then hard code those commands out, is Rocket still with BI he has access to the code itself. bI shurely isnt making anymore money off Arma2 other then through DayZ. I read yesterday that the military is going with their own engine now. Literally there is no reason to continue to play with the amount of hacks goong around, and the " we cant do anything about it " is BS. I literally just learned of TheWarZ a couple hours ago, if the hacking continues in DayZ its gatenteed ill be throwing my money at WarZ and not DayZ. I adjusted to unrealistic night, i adjusted to no weps, i adjust to every other change. I will not adjust to being teleported into a Thunderdome, or teleported 100m in the air, or any of the other exploits. I think there has been enough testing of the Respawn,Death from teleport " bug " Now i understand this is rockets game and he can do whatever and ban whoever for whatever reason, its his game, i hold the same opinion of Bioware, Blizzard, and every other developer. But the longer this goes on, the lower chance Rocket will make any money off it. Unless he wants to do the game for charity -

Id have to say it was easy to misunderstand when the link said " what midnights should be like" linking to a to dark night, and you just saying " nuff said" Maby should have been more then "nuff said " How you misunderstood me when i said " diffrent and visable " maby visable means something diffrent in sweeden, or translated wrong -

I was arguing that the game is to dark, you arguing aganst me basically saying the same stupid thing. So why are you arguing aganst me again? He game is to dark, there i made my argument simpler for you. And i do do it, im a smoker dont smoke inside, and stay up untill 3am every night. I am outside at night constantly and can make out if i need to cut my lawn the next day, from a back deck that sits on the second story of house ( guess about 15+feet high. Yet ingame i cant see the gun im holding And the closest city is 80 miles away, on the other side of 2 mountian ridges -

Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to daish's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Go outside at night, you will find it verry diffrent, and visable And dont just walk outside from inside, stay out there for about 20-30 min. Your eyes will adjust, just like you adjust while running and your vision doesnt look like a camera attached to a bobblehead Edit - the only way you have dark like it is ingame is if there is no light source, like a blackout room. Unfortunatly the sky prevents that, unless its cloudy. The stars will provide enough light to see Its aparent who lives in the city and who lives in the country away from the city lights affected by Light Polution -

personally i dont like the change to spawning with no weapon, i wouldn't mind it if the spawns were literally anywhere on the map instead of a small area of the coast. imo the people promoting the item spawns are more then likely the same people with assault and sniper rifles giddy with joy they have less chance of dying and almost nil from the person that they just killed. but hey whatever if i dont like it, i dont have to play it ( and for the record i have not played CoD style games since 2007, and dont like CoD in general, so dont bother telling me to go back to CoD since i never came from it to begin with, it blows ) -
Any easy way to tell which houses are enterable?

I leave the coast and head to Stary with starter gear, along the route I end up refilling canteen at watering hole due to running the entire time. With starter gear. -
Average run time Cherno - Stary Sobor
Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Sheldon (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Surprisingly I've never seen other people there, I have seen it cleared a lot though, might be the server I usually play as I've left a fully stocked tent by the tents other side of the broken truck and it still stocked over a day later. But knowing since I've spoken up about that fact, I'll get capped when I log back in and do another run. -

Hell-In-A-Handbasket replied to Sheldon (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
If you have a map/compas it's flat out quick. As i have gotten turned around a number of times and ended up back at the coast somehow. With no map and compas it's longer, but easiest way to get there is head away from Electro/Cherno till you hit the main lines, then follow them all the way, you'll hit a town leading into secondary power lines, follow them till they enter wooded area flanked either side by deer stands, they go between Stary and Novoy. Takes about 35-40 min -
I just played my first game last night, ended up playing for over 4 hours before a player killed me at the airfield ( was looking for better weapons, should have just kept the crossbow and 6 bolts ) But almost every server had over 20 people, and even more were full
