I admit that I haven't been playing nearly as much as I thought I would. The game is tough, you die a ton, and in my opinion most of the frustrations are just because the game needs to work better. Once some time goes along and everything runs smoothly I'll be playing more. Until then I'll play in bits and pieces so I don't ruin the game for me.

They certainly are an awesome group of people! It's the first time I've had some teamwork in the game, luckily I got a cool story out of it. I'll be helping any Medics I can when I'm playing. Helping people out is a good time.

What's with the dickhead reply? I was clearly zig zagging towards the end of the open field as I got shot at, and we still didn't know exactly where we were getting sniped from. Be a grump somewhere else, as for the others that enjoyed the video, glad you did.

I'm curious to know, EVERYONE that has graphic glitches, what graphic card are you using and how many gbs is it? After I switched to a new graphics card I haven't encountered artifacts, even before this update since I haven't played yet today. I also changed the maxdistance what have you setting to 1 for each of the lines. It didn't do anything for my fps but artifacts were gone afterwards. So either the gpu upgrade or line change is what got rid of it for me.

Would be nice to know. I have an octa core FX-8120 CPU and Radeon HD 7870 GPU. The game runs at the same fps pretty much no matter what settings I use. I'd like to know how to optimize it, or if perhaps threaded cpus need to be optimized themselves.

What is it with people always shouting "He HAS to be a troll" 1. If you think he is trolling, learn what trolling is. 2. If he IS trolling, HE needs to learn what trolling is. Nothing about him is trolling, the guy's just some self entitled douchebag.

Fired up a night server, was right outside of Cherno. Made my way into town into a tower like usual, looked around a bit and decided I'd head towards a drum can fire to cook the food I had on me. Guy runs up the stairs right as I'm heading down, scaring the hell out of me. I start unloading my AK towards the guy, missing terribly. He's blasting his 1911 all over the place. He gets a good shot on me and I get downed, broken leg and bleeding. As I'm laying there with an empty AK, the guy just looks at my body. Probably started looting thinking I was dead. Sucks for him that I wasn't. Switched to my Revolver and blew his brains out, took his food and some matches. Nearly bled to death, am currently with 200 blood and will need some saving. He was a bandit though, so that was cool.

Guys like this have been reported terrorizing people across servers!

You could be waiting for a nice little while, buddy. The mod is only in Alpha, it's no where near ready to be ported into stand alone. I'd say you have a possible 1year+ before any realistic expectations of seeing it done.

I'd love to join this, I have the 12th off from work and have yet to meet up with people to play! I can record a good 10 hours straight before my HD is filled, so we can get some good footage! I try to talk to people most times. I should stop doing this, I however don't want to turn into a shoot on sight kind of douche. I prefer to give someone a chance.

I had found my very first gun on one of my first times playing. I was streaming live (hence the terrible quality) and asked the chat on how to aim down sights. Moments later this guy runs into the room, I reacted somewhat hastily I'll admit, then again I did get shot in the face on a life earlier so it was only proper... Tell your stories of the first time you killed someone! On purpose or by accident... ;)

A big reason to why I don't climb things anymore, and am super careful of stairs. Luckily today while checking out a deer stand I fell off and just had some damage given. Now I just climb up a deer stand and stay on the ladder while I take whatever in there is worthwhile.

Oh, I did the maxframes thing too. Maybe that could've helped a bit? I did it to try and increase my FPS though it didn't seem to do much.

So I was playing for around an hour and a half, making my way towards Cherno from a long distance away. Eventually got near it and I noticed a fire sound playing non stop. I look towards this forest and the entire place has a fire graphic over it. I recorded that as I thought it was strange, you could only view it from certain angles. I made my way into Cherno and the entire place still sounded like it, and was lit up like it was on fire. Didn't record that though, just the same thing. I didn't get the glitch at all today myself while playing. I did however just switch over to a stronger graphics card with 2gbs instead of the 1 I had before...

Number 2 was a fucking classic! He zooms in on the guy and right as he does his mouth starts moving and he sings. Dear god if I ever saw this in game I would SHIT myself. In all honestly, 'hacks' like this are making the game great. I'd say they need to somehow integrate this into the game because this is terrifying...

Decided to get a game in, been alive for maybe 30-40 minutes running around Elektro for the first time. I find a crossbow, makarov, tons of hatchets and windows for some reason... Crossbow I need to use up right away, makarov soon follows to a group of zombies. Spend about 10 more minutes running around looking for more items and I walk into this really big building with a room that looks like it's been destroyed. The stairs leading up are blocked, I have only a hatchet on hand and am ready to swing it. I look around the room trying to see what's around me when out of NO WHERE some guy runs into the room with an svd. He must've been as startled as I was because we started running around in circles, not sure if I'd swing or he'd shoot. I quickly decided he'd have to die and start mad hacking at this guy. We erupt into a frantic with him firing all over the place, me hacking away hoping to connect. This goes on for a good 10 seconds or so before he gets downed, may have had a broken leg or was laying down for some reason. I see him still shooting at me so I run close to him, stay to his side and hack away until finally he goes limp. Despite that I keep hacking away, making sure he was dead. Couldn't believe what just happened, I went through his stuff as quickly as possibly but was quickly flanked by either a teammate or an onlooker that heard the firing. Died instantly, but not without a story to tell! If you read this, person that I just encountered, thank you. That was one of the most intense moments I've EVER encountered in a video game. I can still feel the adrenaline in my system.

So... you want them to make an entirely new map just for DayZ? Sure... You know, cuz if it was that quick/easy/cheap they'd be doing just that. Lmao.
