  1. I know this isnt considered evidence by Dayz Staff because its only on while he's doing it but heres his current stream as well (DayZ Hacking) http://www.twitch.tv/evansaidhi/b/325491131 he uses multiple PCs and keeps getting new CD keys. I think the evidence in this thread alone tho is justification for anyone to ban him lol. Strongly encourage other servers to keep an eye out.
  2. Indeed. That said i do my best to keep this sort off our servers. i'll be only too happy to provide his info to dayz devs for a global ban :)
  3. Many of the most popular servers are now becoming targets for all the script hackers. im refering to mainly- - Teleportation of other players (havent seen this myself in a while) - Kill scripts that insta kill players out of no where - Server wide kill scripts that kill everyone on the server - Spawning of vehicles that do not occur in DayZ (But exist in arma and remain in the CFGs) - Spawning of weapons and gear not present in DayZ to gain supernatural advantage (See weapons with thermal sights) - Various other hacks (Ie poping you out of your body and into something else) Now on normal vanilla servers Admins can deal with this, But DayZ has tied our hands so tightly to protect a few people being wrongfully kicked? This is ruining the game on a far wider scale then a few abusive admins ever will. Some things are easy to prove... a clever script hack is not. Placing the burden of proving such hacks on the admin delays appropriate bans and allows these hackers to ruin servers and ruin individuals enjoyment of this mod (which aside from its bugs is the best thing i've ever played!) I'm not saying there should be a free-for-all for every kid with cash to rent a server so he can power trip, But you must either aggressively work to stop this hacking ASAP or loosen restrictions on admins. In the latter case, Allow at least Bans local to that server for suspicion of hacking. Even better would be to allow Admins to run server side detection scripts that can auto kick/ban. While we uphold the highest standards of evidence for Bans on our servers this influx of Hacks is causing a situation where many many offenders wreck people hard earned progress and simply jump to another server for their next attack because admins are reluctant to ban for fear of thier server being blacklisted.

    Something must be done

Exactly. Im not saying there should be no reprisal for those who blatantly manipulate the persistence in this game by locking servers to farm etc. But they also really need to allow us a bit more freedom to agressively counter people we suspect of hacking.

    Something must be done

No, But it's spiked drastically in the past week or so.
  6. Like i said i understand Why it's the way it is. What makes me mad are the people who exploit and force us to deal with this junk and cant get 40+ guys into a public server at one time because of the randoms in there.
  7. The reason is that since we all share a central database' date=' those playing on locked servers with clanmates have a risk-free (except for the zeds) environment to farm all the loot they want, and then hop onto a public server fully geared. This is unfair to those of us who work for our gear. As per the server rules in the 'Want to host a DayZ Server? Read in here.' thread (link - http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1429); - IT MAY NEVER BE PASSWORDED - NO KICKING TO MAKE ROOM FOR 'FRIENDS' OR CLANMATES As explained in another thread earlier (by rocket I think, not sure), being able to host a server and get access to hive is a privledge that comes with certain responsibilities and duties. This includes making it publically accessible to everyone in a fair way. Seems that certain groups aren't interested in following those rules. Further details on where to report these would be appreciated. [/quote'] While i agree that everyone needs to follow the same rules in terms of what can be done with servers, I do feel that the current rules are extremely unfair to the people who actually provide all these servers. On any game i have ever played i have never been mad for being kicked to make room for server donators or members of that clan. I think it's extremely narrow minded for any of us to think we should have access to something that can cost over a hundred $ a month ahead of the person(s) who paid for it. What makes me madder tho then the rules is the reason they have to be there- Because a handful of admins/owners abuse the power and kick anyone who bests them or fires at them. Its because of that sort of behavior the rest of us are encumbered with BS rules...
  8. Yes i can see that.. but think about this. You have a clan of 60+ members. Your members donate so you can have your own servers. Why should me not be able to lock it? Especially during peak hours? Im sorry i cant accept the paying members having to take que behind non-contributing pubbers.
  9. Why should it not be allowed? I would be really annoyed if they were to say you cant even lock a server (especially if you have a dedi box) I see no way this is an exploit. *Disclaimer: I don't own a server and im not saying that's the official rules
  10. Bolded. That's the difference between survivors and bandits. a 'survivor' would stay out of site rather then hunt the guy. (obviously full time Player killers will pop everyone regardless of skin..)
  11. stay away from people you dont know whenever possible. I reccomend you find a party outside of the game to group up with. 90% of offers to 'group up' in game is a bandit baiting you. The other 10% are cluseless noobs who will set off a hoard or do something else to get you killed.

    Newbies, beware the clan NwO

I do not know who shout you or where. What i will tell you is that Most NwO members do not randomly kill people, However in an open world like this it's impossible to monitor every member all the time. I often lead what ever group of NwO im playing with and we DO NOT fire on people without cause. A few days ago we were post up at a common loot site. 3 'survivors' approached us. I Had over watch. I told my guys NOT TO FIRE. they didn't. One of said survivors oppend up on US. At which point i proceeded to take out all 3. If you approach us and do not respond.. or worse after contact is obviously made (we know each other is there) you point a big gun at us, we will defend ourselves and each other. Generally NwO members will be much more reluctant to blow your face off then the average player... But if you give us good cause to we will.

    Survivor Looking for a Clan

Consider the NWO if you like playing Tactical as part of a group. We defend survivors, Kill Bandits, Work as a team. http://tnwo.enjin.com/home
  14. PvP = Player vs. Player. It's a generalization' date=' and what the game is to everybody. You may mean the initialism "PK" (or "PK'r" or "PK'er") which stands for "Player Killer". Popularized by the Diablo series, where it was considered the lowest of the low. TKJ [/quote'] meh. Im not too concerned about the technical corectness.. everyone knows who im refering to.

    When 1.5.8 comes out....

I dont see why. All your persistence is in a databse, the patch is just a big fix for the game (your end) and the server your playing on. All your gear and last known location and all is saved in the DayZ Master server/Database
  16. Im no't talking about the skin That's not how i call a bandit. A bandit to me, Is someone i see go and attack another player without provocation. The skin is meaningless anyways. You can Never seek a confrontation and Defend yourself a few times and get the skin.. Likewise you can kill someone then go transfuse you buddy to put your humanity back up to avoid changing skin. To me a Bandit is the guys who Actively hunt players with the intent of killing them for supplies. A survivor Avoids confrontation whenever possible. A PVPer goes around killing people who just spawned. (See Mackarov spam in cherno)
  17. There is. Survivors Kill Banidts. But would rather jet get thier supplies quietly. Groups of Survivors Hunt Bandits. Bandits Indiscriminately Kill anyone- for anything. Even if the victim has nothing useful. They could care less which side their victim is on. They actively hunt ALL players rather then work for their supplies.
  18. AMEN. That's how its supposed to be!
  19. Keep em' coming guys. Anyone looking for a group that plays SMART this is where you want to be
  20. Sounds awesome, Im signing up!
  21. I'm not a big fan of groups. Especially ones that stay together for any period. On occasion I'll find someone to team up with for a high risk looting mission and trade off watch/loot between us as we go thru the village/town... This is mainly for places dense with zed, And if the other guy gets hot the zombies will go after him i just take my loot and slip out the back leaving him to his fate. Yes this may sound cold, But DayZ is about post apocalyptic survival. You have to way your options and survive. Trying to save Johnny No-Brains who poped off his pistol with 20+ zed around when i just acquired a rare weapon is a no-win for me.
