  1. if no ones on TS when you decide to hop on feel free to grab me on steam http://steamcommunity.com/id/pbgsovetsky ^Linked profile due to multiple sovetskies :P
  2. My sentiments. Additionally Look as what game-mechanics decisions have been made since those "good days" the first few posters spoke of. We now have extremely OP infection, Instant knock out zombie hits (occasionally), no weapons at ALL on spawn, etc. I do appreciate a challenge but the simple fact is that the more it "sucks" to start fresh the more people are going to play in a way meant to purely increase their chance of survival. Simply put if its a pin to get off the coast im going to minimize my risk of going back there by killing you, taking your junk, and AVOIDING risks.
  3. Would love to get into origins but I've always found it extremely annoying. I have no aversions to PvP or banditry at all, But without a big enough (and highly active) clan/squad to do all the base building and vehicle hording I can never get into it. Im really a sucker for stayin' alive, hoarding, End-game kinda stuff. Without some numbers ive only had "spawn, get a gun & cap someone quick before I Die" gameplay on origins.
  4. Check out DRB. Very small group just getting started. No drama/BS/Complicated rules/Begging for donations CLICK HERE for our recruitment thread and server info (On these forums)

    Looking for Upstarting Clan

check out DRB. were just getting off the ground, but very relaxed (virtually none) rules, PvP focused, TeamSpeak. Our info Thread Here ^click for more info
  6. If your still looking drop by our TS. You can find our info thread here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/143870-dirty-rotten-bandits-casualany-modpvp-focus-ts3/ Were pretty relaxed, Lots of crude humor, etc. Play mostly DayZero Mod (BMRF) at the moment but happy to do vanilla, origins, anything provided enough are up for it. We have abut 15 members as of last check (we don't keeps lists or rosters lol) normally work in small groups of 3-5 with a PvP focus.

A friend or two to play with.

If you guys are interested, I have a small group with a PvP focus called the Dirty Rotten Bandits. You can find our clan info thread Here. Were rather casual with no time/playstyle/skill level requirements per-say but would prefer you at least know how to navigate and find basic supplies. We use teamspeak 3 (server info in our recruitment thread) Were currently Playing a lot of DayZero mod as its basically like "Old dayz" with optimizations.
  8. If you guys are interested check the Link in my signature. It's a very small group currently playing mostly dayZero mod (BMRF). we also already have a teamspeak; its a very relaxed/casual group but focused towards PvP/Banditry. Server: ts55.gameservers.com:9438 Pass: shootfirst

    NOOB TRAINER

Being a "Bambi" is more of a choice then simply being new. I mean yes, you do (in most servers anyways) start vulnerable and un-armed, But not even all experienced players choose to go all PvP either.
  10. Join now for Yolo Swag! just kidding, but seriously still looking for more peoples for good times and zombies. Camping electro while intoxicated is highly encouraged for Lulz
  11. Still looking for more :) also issues with the TS server on the hosts' end have been sorted for anyone hose had trouble connecting that past few days.
  12. You probably got on a bit early. most of us play in the evening. we also had some issues today with the TS server on our hosts' end which has now been sorted. Most active after about 8PM EST on weekdays it seems.

    Returning player tips?

I wouldn't Mind the infections or the improvements to the zed except for the so called "re-balancing" of loot spanws which IMO totally ruins the experience. Hospitals without even a single friggn painkillers is lame. Add to that the still glitch behavior of AI in arma where they can momentarily lunge thru walls, stairs, etc

    Returning player tips?

Everything ha changed. "Oficial" servers with god steady High pop are quite scarce now. I would strongly advise checking out some of the Community-Made iterations like Origins or DayZero. they have much bigger Populations now and continue to get fixes and improvements

    Hunter/Prey

in all honesty its about knowing the map and the common routes. even those with a GPS will often avoid the annoying "slow walk" up a steep mountain if shifting his path a bit would take him around it. then what? You camp. Days? I once holed up outside of NWAF for 3 days waiting to catch a guy. Also it's only really effective if Name-plates are ON

How can I become a bandit

this. I should know. I often kill a guy cause my food meter is blinkin' Bean Bandits FTW
  17. Love the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. features :) my favorite franchise ever. Also JSRS. Used it alongside ACE mod a lot, I wish more custom/Private hives would allow at least the option to have it (as its a client-side only mod) and ads greatly to the environment with more realistic sounds.

    dayz group

If you guys are down for some laughs with your day-Z check out the link in my sig for TS3 info. We normally roll with like 5-10 guys in evenings (US time zones) tho we do have a few guys from outside US. Basically its hop on TS, meet up in game and have some fun.

    banditing ways of epicoscity

I like the idea of being clever (and even sometimes downright evil). Creative ways to handle PvP make the game more interesting for all involved then a simple bullet to the face from afar. On that note, I don't mind the zombies being harder. What I DO have a problem with is that they keep "making it harder" in vanilla when they know the MOD is subject to arma IIs annoying quirks Like AI clipping thru walls etc. It's kind of hard to "play smart" when you can't even count on an object that's solid for you not being solid for your attacker :P
  20. about 10 I think were up to as of now. Ranging from US, EU, and even Australia. Mostly active in the evenings (US TZ) also we've started building a bit of a presence on BMRF DayZero as well.
  21. Check out the link in my sig. Mostly active in the evenin/night atm but would like a few EU based guys. Also we have TS (Skype is annoying).

Small Casual Dayz group (~6 players)

If your looking for something relaxed, Basically a group of guys who just hang out on TS3 and squad up for dayZ check out the link in my sig :)
  23. check out DRB, a community im just starting. Don't let the name fool you it's not about being some hard a** sniper or anything camping on the coast, but rather drinking, joking, and enjoying the game with others. Perhaps whilst Cap'n a few bambies in NWAF for fun? http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/143870-dirty-rotten-bandits-casualany-modpvp-focus-ts3/

How Did You First Become a Bandit?

I've had the same experiences, With the exceptions of a few folks who ive known as regulars on certain servers (some even inviting me to their TS/Vent/Mumble) I generally find trying to "help" randoms a suicidal act. Much better to avoid contact where possible, and if forced into confrontation, Kill. Also, There really isn't any kind of reward for *Not* killing them if you think about it.
