If it was in the face, they would be dead. Also the Bizon is one of the weakest guns in the game (but makes up for it for being silenced, VERY QUICK full auto, and a big mag). Shoot him more than once with a 9mm next time, he would have survived post-or-pre-patch if the first shot didn't kill him since the only chance to kill anywhitn with 1-shot with the Bizon is a clear head-shot and that has remained unchanged in this patch.

It's ok. Dieing sucks. That's part of DayZ. Just remember that it takes a good immersion to get so affected by a simple death, and that's what DayZ has helped create better than basically anyhting else out there. It's a building block, a starting point, an alpha to a new way of playing video games. You can say you were a part of of it. You experienced it. Both the highs and lows as you watch it, and other games, evolve from this simple mod into something amazing.

I actually agree with the point you're trying to convey, but I'm dissapointed in the way you're attempting to portray it. It's contradictorary to your intentions and reflects poorly both on you, and people who share your viewpoint.

Waypoints is ok for noobs and begininers I suppose, but it really takes away from the immersion of the game. Especially those that rely on them. I only play on servers with no waypoints or 3rd person.

I've opened many many doors in my time. I haven't been hurt by a door since the first time I broke my legs on an outhouse. it's realyl difficult to be hit by a door when you open them at max range and move out the way. Really difficult.

The only point you conveyed in this thread is that your camp was poorly hidden and likely one of those 'Tent Cities' that anyone strolling through the woods would find and take advantage of.

Is M4A1 CAMO SD in the game or is it simply a mis-spell of M4A1 CCO SD? I see the DayZ database has only the CAMO-SD but in game I've only every come across the CCO-SD which looks to me like they changed the name at some point.

For me, it's got many factors: 1) How geared am I? Do I have anything to lose that I can't get back at my tent or someone else's poorly hidden tent? If so, I'm, much more cautious. 2) What gun are they using? If they have a pistol/hatchet out, I'm much less likely to shoot on site. If it's a big rifle I'm much more cautious. This is because I feel confident I can gun down (or evade) someone that shoots first with the previous weapons. 3) How close are they? Do they know I'm there? If I turn a corner and there's a guy with a weapon 15 feet in front of me, my initial reaction is to shoot based on Panic and not being able to assess the other factors quick enough to make a calm decision. However, if they're a decent distance away, and probably don't even know I'm there, I simply let them go about their business, or may even try to communicate with them to let them know I'm there and friendly so I don't startle them. 4) Are they being douchebags? If I see some sniper shooting in cherno and they haven't noticed me, I'll kill him and teabag him. If I see someone kill another survivor that is minding their own business I'll do the same. If I see an obvious duped tent city and someone visits it, I'll sit there and kill them and then flatten their tents (and probably visit them later).

How do you hide multiple tents in the same area? It's too easy to spot a tent city and then people complain about them being found. Hiding a single tent is much more plausible and still not 90% safe. Spreading your tents is a much better idea as you've found out. Just be careful of placing a tent too far into a tree where you can't access them. I'd say it happens about 50% of the time for me, but the ones that work are worth it.
