  1. Its done to remove personal liability. The debts incurred or liablities from a lawsuit from the company are then the compay's responsibility alone. Prevents creditors or other parties from attaching your wages or assets for failing, debt or liabilities owed by the company (LLC, INC, S-CORP or whatever you are). If you have a car, no bank account and live in a Craigslist room its not much of an issue running a company as a sole proprieter, however if you have a house, savings or other assets, its $100 well spent to set one up. Though in California there's a min tax associated with LLC's that make S-Corps more attractive for companies earming less than $100K (don't quote me, figure might be off and we folded that one a few years ago). Now that liability protection is only good if you run it within the rules of a company (board meeting and minutes filed if required, no mixing of assets or funds, etc). If not, a good lawyer can pierce that veil and go after personal assets as well. Any OH company expedited options? You can pay Ohio a $100 fee to have your articles of organization processed in 1-2 days. You have to send expedited filings to a different PO Box than regular filings Anyway, back to the topic at hand.....
  2. Actually the LLC has nothing to do with "Hey they want to do this awhile". You could set one up in a day. It does allow them to remove any personal liability or attachment of assets while running the business, while maintaining the tax benefit of a pass through income and not being taxed at a corporate rate, S-Corp would do much the same. We use the same for our rental properties in case a tenant decides to BBQ in the bathroom, burn himself and sue us because we didn't have proper signage warning of that potential :) It means nothing about their long or short term intentions of running the business....

Then you go VPS or any random AMRA2 provider......

    US 927 admin abuse Ban.

Those no rule about hacking or scripting either dumbass, but you can bet your ass I'll be banning them
  5. Interesting news apparently from HFB. This in response to a PayPal dispute. Note the last lines and their plans 7/18/2012 04:37 PDT - Seller: The TOS change has nothing to do with the change of access. Speak to shawn-dante head of everything that deals with servers over at the dayz dev team. This was a Dayz request that we are required to follow. You agreed to the dayz rules when you bought the server which this was a rule change that we HAVE to follow. I can give you the skype details of Shawn if you like so you can speak to him.Do you think that we would want to purposely limit access? The answer is no, we do not we are simply required to follow what ever rules they make. As far as the TOS change the original TOS was very short but had the line "we reserve the right to change this at any time without notice" which is something that almost every company out there has, heck im sure paypal even has it but they still notify everybody when they are changed.Like many companies i have in contact with (not naming names) we are planning to move away from dayz as the rules are getting stricter every day and we feel it is not fair for the buyer to have to deal with things like that, not having full access to your server is one.

    HFB server contact?

In response to my PayPal claim as shown above. So either you're lying to PayPal saying you and other host you talked to are leaving, or you are leaving and lying to the admins...... PS. I'll add it again here since you're blind 7/18/2012 04:37 PDT - Seller: The TOS change has nothing to do with the change of access. 7. Actually a pretty interesting idea! Beans to you!

    HFB server contact?

Seems they might not care: 7/18/2012 04:37 PDT - Seller: The TOS change has nothing to do with the change of access. 9. I fail to see the fix, only a hack work around for something that worked fine two days ago
  10. Beans to the OP One of ours will go away next month. Maybe the other if the crap keeps up.
  11. Oh you can't ban for it ;). That's not on the list....... Lol
  12. No son they can't get unbanned by submitting a ticket. An admin ban is specific server based. They get unbanned by the admin unbanning them. The ticket is ignored like all the other tickets submitted and life goes on....
  13. FTP isn't an option from the office, funny thing about defense firms and IT security. Your competitors ACP panel works nicely from anywhere, even the iPad, and can be modified on the go.
  14. I host with Vilayer and HFB What I can do with Vilayer that I can't with HFB (even though they claim same restrictions ) Edit my scripts.txt Edit all three of my logs files Rename my log Delete my log Add or remove bans via the panel Access a command window Rcon from the ACP panel

    HFB server contact?

Put it in a sales ticket. It's the only one they answer quickly.
  16. Still can't access scripts.txt. Funny I can on that other host you say put these restrictions in place weeks ago.

    BattlEye: Script Restriction #99

Are you logging in from the map screen in game? Script will kick for that
  18. Owned ARMA one and two since release and still enjoy them. Looking forward to three. Dayz is a nice distraction but enjoy coop tactical engagements better. If its a free 2 play model dayz in the end I'll skip it. Saying F2P as in, buy a better weapon, skin, etc. also not interested in a thousand person island server solution.
  19. I bet the focus is on getting it to run right under ARMA3 before its released. What's going on here is just a Petri dish to watch the spores grow in and figure out what kills them. While I'm sure they want the brand, I doubt they care much about full ARMA2 integration. At this point it's a source of funding (ARMA 2 sales) to fund the finishing of 3 and give it a launch boost, more so if some form of DAYZ is built in.......

    admins are abuseing

Quite sure it's son.... You don't pay for my servers nor do I answer to you. Don't bother playing on them.
  21. jskibo

    admins are abuseing

Buy a server? I rent slotted servers by the month, nobody bought anything. I donated my money and time in support of this mod that's now crawling with self entitled asshat players throwing useless statements from Devs who could care less about admins or players alike and merely using this as a test bed for what will be in ARMA3. I care as much for the Devs once a month meaningless message as they do about plugging holes and keeping out the exploiters.... And son I'm sure I have kids your age. The I'm telling Mom crap doesn't have an impact on me.....
  22. Kicking exploiters and keeping a server as hacker free as possible is bad for a player base? You're friggin nuts... I play on my server maybe two days a week hardly my personal playground there asshat....
