Wait, what? I'm supposed to care how my server ranks now......why? What am I selling that I need a high rank? As to day / night, there's a few issues with restarts at times. I've had problems where the server gets set back to daylight

Tents require a restart. Server has been up since Saturday morning Had one other issue with tents on Saturday. Would love to tell you what's going on with the server now, but I get a failed to connect when I try. Gave up trying to get in for the evening. My three year old is cranky and my sixteen year old is almost as bad..... As to active on the forum, sorry, I have a few other things to attend to, like five of my six kids here in the real world. They take priority over what's happening on the server. If you're not happy with my effort, I do invite you to try the thousand of other servers available....

The good ones are using a battleye bypass, you'll never see anything in the logs with them. Dumb ones still try stuff like ammo.sqf scripts

You won't have write access to the part of the server you need with them, so doesn't matter if you can get the files yourself or have the ability to do it......it's locked down

When the use the BE bypass we don't catch anything in the logs that would be usefull. The dumb ones are still easy to catch. Hard to prevent ahead of time. There are things in the script detect file that will kick them when they try, however, as I said, they are bypassing battleye now so the file has no impact.

If he rented a slotted server from them then they already got his instance ID. If he rented a bare server then he needs to do as you say.

Let's make it easier. There's a BI forum for ARMA that's full of people making maps and missions. The basics are the same as Dayz and you're likely to get a much better answer over there for what you are trying to do.

At some point that number of available servers will crest and begin to slide down the other side of the curve...... Don't get me wrong, there will always be some servers. Many of which are put up by folks just willing to hit the start button and apply a patch now and then and who could care less what hackers, scripters and otherwise self entitled punks do on their box. I'm sure quite a few either don't know, or don't care that there are forums here for servers for people to ask questions and point out issues. Those boxes just chug along oblivious to any issues There are others who try and monitor their servers, respond to community requests to look at potential issues, ban those that need it and respond to requests to reverse bans when a mistake is made. They are involved and wish to provide a safe, as hacker free area as possible to play in. The outrage from a vocal part of the player base, pointing fingers each time a box restarts or something happens to their tent, throwing up posts about the Admin must have been the one that teleported me, hacked a helo, stole my tent and the like, is driving those away that want to run a decnet server.... I highly doubt the end state of this game will be player owned servers connected to a hive server, and we know it won't be ARMA2 engine based with ARMA3 on the horizon. The 3000+ admins out there (none of which are named Rocket) are coughing up approx $120k a month total to keep this experiment going. Cut them some slack as they deal with the issues that pop up with each new patch. You want a decent pace to play with minimal interupt from hackers? That takes some efforts of the 2999 admins in support of the 700,000 players. Is it that much of an issue to go play on another server if you don't like what's being done on the one you are on? Might some of the admins be farming? Sure, just like some of the players may be scripting. Might they get the good gear? Sure, but last I looked I can get a CZ in many barns that will kill you just the same. What's the chance that some admin farming gear is going to find you with that gear on the 1000's of other clean servers out there? I bet lower than the chance of a random hacker spawning in, blowing you up and lolz to the chat....

Admins can't random kill. Sorry, we don't have that button or tool Hackers and scripters can random kill.

Its this line in your scripts.txt that does that 5 [_this,"players"] execVM "\ca\ui\scripts\dedicatedServerInterface.sqf"; Though I wouldn't change it as it prevents the simple hacks from being applied. Not many use this method, but it will keep idiots off your box who haven't learned work arounds. If you do change it, leave it in and change 5 to 1 so it logs, but doesn't kick
